Was contacted on the morning by "Margaret" saying she couldn't honour the booking... Still waiting for my money back

No breakfast, couldn't find host when I got up in the morning. Location not great compared to the rest of Ireland.

Casa espectacular, con habitación muy cómoda y la mejor cama que he dormido. Si bien se encuentra en una zona rural hay una tienda y un pub a 3 minutos. Dice sin desayuno en la descripción pero la dueña permite acceso total a la cocina y heladera para utilizar lo que uno quiera para prepararlo. Muy recomendable

Such a gorgeous accommodation. Simple, spotless and Margaret, so welcoming, but not intrusive. The nearby canal walk us a gem, and the fresh eggs available for breakfast were very welcome!

Shower pressure upstairs could be stronger, everything else great

Margaret was a very kind and welcoming host. She was helpful with my check-in and very understanding about my plans, which made the stay much easier. The room was comfortable, homely and had everything I needed for the night. The B&B is in a beautiful location, and although I was only there briefly, I really appreciated the warmth and hospitality.

Nothing to add. Everything was fine for my short stay.

Wonderful country property close to a canal walking path and several small villages. We loved everything about the house and location. We especially appreciated the kindness and hospitality from the host, Margaret. She’s a gem.

Oakwood B&B in Athlone, is a cozy spot! 😊 Friendly owner, kid and dog-friendly, with internet and kitchen. Great place for exploring Athlone there is also a greenaway situated near the house!Margaret the owner is soo polite she even let me feed the hens she owns! 10/10 really recommend this place for a city break.

Wir können dieses B&B nur empfehlen. Wir haben uns hier von A-Z sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder kommen. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Wir durften bei Ihr die Küche nutzen und Frühstücken. Ein B&B wie man es sich nur wünschen kann. Vielen Dank 🙏🏻.

No breakfast is provided (so the name Oakwood B&B is a bit misleading), but the host's kitchen is available for shared use, which is very handy if you're happy to be social. We didn't want to eat out for every meal. Margaret is lovely to chat with and willing to provide anything you need. We made scrambled eggs with fresh eggs courtesy of her chickens!

A hairdryer would have been useful. Also somewhere to hang towels to dry.

Located a short walking distance from the Grand Canal Walk, which was a lovely walking path. Belmont is a tiny village but there are larger villages with restaurants 10 minutes in several directions. Margaret is a gracious host and a lovely person.

Friendly welcome by Margaret, our host. Very clean, well-appointed rooms and kitchen.The most comfortable bed ever! Beautiful house. Nothing was too much trouble. Complementary breakfast was very much appreciated and set us up for the days adventures. It was lovely to have a good morning greet from Poppy, the puppy sausage dog.

Beautiful rooms, large spacious and very comfortable. It was very well heated and the views were lovely. Very clean and homely. Shower was grand.

Very little information forthcoming on arrival. Wasn't aware that breakfast was a DIY and it was confusing as to what we could use in the kitchen.. there wasnt anyone around. Would've liked to have had access to a hairdryer

Breakfast was basic but all that one would ever need. She made us feel very comfortable as we were able to use the kitchen as our own. She was super friendly and joined us for some great conversations while there. We met her one awesome son as well who joined us and it felt like a family get together.

Nothing could have been better. A beautiful and very well kept home. Our hosts personality could not have been more pleasant and welcoming.

Margaret was a very friendly host who immediately made us feel welcome and at home. The house is beautiful with lots of attention to detail. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, and everything was clean and tidy. Margaret provided us with delicious ingredients for breakfast, including eggs from her own chicken. Speaking of animals: a cute dog greeted us upon arrival, and a relaxed cat visited us at the window in the morning, adding to the friendly atmosphere of this place. We couldn't be happier about our stay and would return here any time again! Thank you!

Margaret is a wonderful host and the House is conveniently located to visit Clonmacnoise.

Located in beautiful countryside, our room was nice and the house very cosy. Parking was on site, and the owner welcomed us with open arms and a lot of flexibility and trust. She made us feel at home.

The blinds did not darken the room well, so we woke up from the light.

We hadn’t booked breakfast but Margaret very kindly made us a complimentary breakfast

Very nice place. Margaret is a lovely host. Very comfortable bed. All was perfect.

It's like at home experience. The host is super nice and helpful. Very good breakfast. Perfect location for cyclists or runners, as the grand canal greenaway is just 2 minutes walk away! Tranquil village for evening walk as well. 5min by car to the nearest shop and gas station. 25 minutes to Kinnitty, and Slieve Bloom mountains (where we were hiking). Highly recommend this b&b👌

Lovely clean room - host was very welcoming and concerned for our comfort. We were using the B&B as just a stop.on our trip.from Cou ty Antrim to County Kerry, but the area has a lot to offer.

Nothing to.compkain about. We all slept well. We couldn't get the WiFi to work but didn't ask the host for help.

Margaret the host was such an absolute dote, so welcoming and accommodating. The location was perfect for a relaxing quality time get away. The facilities were 10/10 we had our own private entrance but also could access the extended property. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was spectacular. The bedroom was huge and the mattress was like a cloud, slept like a baby. The highlight of our trip was the friendly dogs and free roaming chickens the perfect country experience.

Super comfortable beds, showers with good pressure, quiet warm house a and lovely caring host. It was exactly what we needed!

The mattress was amazing, so comfortable. Margaret was a great host, so welcoming . We had fresh muffins in the morning and they were delicious. We also had water from her well.

The owner is very nice (she gave us fresh eggs as well for my daughter) and it's a nice clean place. Reasonably priced. Highly recommended to anyone staying in County Offaly. Not too far from Birr and Athlone either.
