I was given an absolutely old room - I was declined food from kitchen at 9pm when i called in to place the order. Checked in around 10:30 and given a room that was in a haunting cottage. Then had to ask the receptionist, after 15 mins argument i was given a different room (which should have been given in the first place) thought the walk to it was quite scary and without lights as the room was quite in the back - when I tried asking them for a room in slightly less on the back initially i was told they cant accommodate the request because i booked through booking.com and later they said they are all booked - while their parking lot was fairly empty as well as fairly empty breakfast area in the morning. Spoke to the manager over call - i could see receptionist filling in the manager what she had told me - i heard back exact same things from the manager on the call. So they were not looking to help resolve problem of a customer who travelled 8 hours. I was told that breakfast starts at 7:30 and was asked what time i want to come - i told them 7:30 works - when i went there - there was no one and had to wait 15 mins when someone came. Not recommended at all.

Lovely room, super food and the staff couldn’t be more helpful in making us feel welcome.

Great location in a,lovely small town within easy reach of wonderful Norwich. Attached to a buzzing pub who had,a great local band playing outside in the sun on the day we stayed there, so lovely to see everyone at the pub singing and,dancing along. Spacious and lovely room in a,stunning building next to The Swan Lovely full English breakfast made with local and,fresh ingredients

We had a great stay at The Loddon Swan, the staff went over and above for us and to help accommodate our little puppy. The service was exceptional and an amazing dinner & breakfast

I didn’t like the sourdough toast at breakfast. It was very hard round the edges. My room was in the old Town Hall and couldn’t open my door. I have arthritis in my hands and just couldn’t open it from the inside with the knob.

Loved the hotel & the room. The location was ideal for us as we were property hunting in Suffolk & in particular to the east of Norwich & the Broads areas. Breakfast was excellent & we enjoyed a good meal there on our first night. Staff were very pleasant & Amber in particular stood out for her friendly but professional personality & her helpfulness.

Everything was really good but if I had to think of anything, I would suggest a second chair in the room would have been useful. Although we really liked the room we were in, it probably wasn't the quietest with the window open in the evening (but no later than 10.30ish) as was close to the pub outside sitting area .. & in the morning the noise of deliveries. Having said that, we didn't particularly mind & the pluses more than made up for it!

Clean and comfortable room. We even had a coffee machine in our one, which we enjoyed a cup before checkout. Lovely and quiet location. My husband usually struggles to sleep in new places but he didn't here. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. You could tell everything was local/homemade. Highly recommend staying!

Ideal location for a wedding. Comfortable bed. Friendly helpful staff. Nice freshly cooked breakfast. Nice decor throughout.

Room was very hot - there was a fan but didn’t feel we could open windows as ground floor overlooking car park. Would suggest changing heated towel rail in bathroom so that it can be turned off. Also provide some instant coffee in room so that those of us who don’t use coffee machines can still enjoy a cup.

Only a few minor things eg kettle needed moving to bedside table as short cord, not spotless, meal good but meat a bit dry and overcooked for one of us

Live music was a bit loud. Also people talking into late night. Weather extremely hot and was bank holiday so might be responsible for that.

the rooms were all excellent and the staff were very obliging.

No effort was made to give a choice for my daughter who is gluten and lactose intolerant. This is inexcusable in any dining facility in this day and age, even the premier inn did better. The chef is trying too hard and missing out on the basics, who need frozen grapes?

Housekeeping was abysmal. Our room was not hoovered once in the 4 night stay. Breakfast was poor. little cereal choice very little fruit choice. Burnt bacon, and what on earth was the hash brown made of concrete? Inedible! Very disappointed. Evening menu was too upmarket for a pub menu....eg Moules Frites for example?

Great location for me as I was walking the Wherryman's Way over 2 days and this was the perfect place to end day 1. Clean, comfortable room with good quality products - tea, coffee, biscuits and chocolates. Accommodation is in an annex to the pub so quiet at night. Evening meal was well cooked and plentiful (I couldn't manage a dessert which is very unusual for me!), the cooked breakfast was very good with plenty of choices and the staff are excellent - welcoming, friendly and helpful. It was only a one night stopover but I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Warm and friendly staff. Great first impression. Lovely room with nice personal touches: coffee machine, chocolate square, good quality bath products, great breakfast, very good bread for toast, individually wrapped butter. Easy check in and check out.

Restaurant was closed on the Sunday we arrived but there were lots of food offerings in the village so it was no problem at all.

A very good breakfast, served cheerfully and efficiently A comfortable room and bed; good shower; and furnishings in excellent taste.

As I mentioned when handing in my keys, a very serious cause of dissatisfaction was the wholly inadequate lighting in Room 4: with only two feeble wall lights and the two bedside lights heavily shaded, it was impossible to read - except in the bathroom. Even daylight was diminished by the large mirror before the window. Also, I would have welcomed either a much lighter duvet, or old-fashioned sheet and blankets.

Breakfast was extremely good. Plenty of choice, quality products and well prepared. There is a great restaurant on site. Staff were extremely professional and friendly. Accommodation was comfortable, spacious and well equipped.

Room was a good size, clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable.

We thought the breakfast was poor, but the only disappointment. The bacon was cremated, almost black. The scrambled eggs were runny and under cooked. There was too much butter in them. The sausages were good quality. So not a complete disaster. The bathroom was cold, tiled floor could do with underfloor heating.

We stayed for 2 nights as we had to be in the area for a funeral. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and comfortable with an excellent shower and the breakfasts superb.

We liked the spacious homely room. Comfortable bed. The staff are amazing and nothing is to much trouble. The Pub has a nice feeling and the food is definitely a must. You might need to book in. It's a Gem of a find.

Loddon is a lovely village, we stayed as it was close to the wedding venue we were attending. The rooms were styled well and comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast was very good and although it looks like a set menu, you can choose the items you would like. There was also a good selection of cereals, fruit, yogurt and juices. It was nice to see the pub and restaurant so busy.

Not being allowed to eat in your room, which is understandable but not always practical. After a long journey you don’t always want to get ready to go out.

Lack of WiFi the only problem and their excellent kitchen was closed for the night of arrival. We had to use the White Horse-not good!

What a nice little gem to find! The room was very spacious, clean and had drink making facilities. The breakfast - WOW! A lovely cooked breakfast with the freshest of meat and the dining room was really cosy. Loved it!
