Haven on Glenaven B&B

Host provided basic ingredients to make breakfast—bread spreads, fruit, cereal, milk, coffee, tea. Spectacular sunrise was visible across roof from east-facing window. Hosts were friendly and knowledgeable about local attractions. Room is in a residential house in a quiet neighborhood. Hosts lived downstairs.

Beautiful home built by the owners. Clean, comfortable and nice location.

Everything was excellent no complaints!!

Julie and her husband are very friendly and ready to answer any questions, they provide great breakfast. We have wonderful memories of the home and environment.

Hervorragende Unterkunft und wunderbare Gastgeber in fantastischer Lage. Alles war sehr sauber und hochwertig. Das vorbereitete Frühstück war sehr lecker, mit frischen Früchten. Wir würden sofort wieder dort buchen.

Host was very welcoming. The purpose built B&B is thoughtfully designed with beautiful timber floors, staircase and trim. Nice breakfast provided in room. Extremely fast WiFi.

This is a fantastic BandB , the owners have went above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible, the breakfast was plentiful and the homemade granola was absolutely delicious.

Place done up tastefully...hostess Julie is very friendly with a smile..ready to answer any question...she gave us some good tips for sight seeing...Julie makes really yummy granola. Thank you Julie and Grant for the wonderful stay.

Хозяйка замечательная, ненавязчивая, приятная, гостеприимная. В доме очень чисто и просторно! Есть комната-гардеробная. В ванне тепловые лампы( в холодное время очень нужная вещь).

Завтрак условный. Масло, джем, мюсли, хлопья, немного фруктов. Молоко, чай, кофе-стандартный набор в гостиницах. Хлеб был с пометкой «употребить до 19 февраля» а наш завтрак был 2 марта!!! У сожалению свежий нам так и не принесли.

Best accommodation in NZ so far. The room is spacious and super comfortable and very private. There's everything you need for breakfast and the view is gorgeous. The host Julie is very welcoming and provided great tips for visiting the area. We had a lovely chat with her and felt like we were at home. I can't recommend this place enough!

The hosts had been very welcoming and helpful in letting us know what local activities to do. Located in a nice area close to town and trails. Furniture was beautiful handmade by owner out of New Zealand timbre. Shower had plenty of space and was powerful. Continental breakfast was more than sufficient. In welcoming us she gave us fresh homemade fruit buns which was very delicious. Next day we found home grown plums in our fridge. Appreciated the long and interesting conversations. When leaving to our next destination host gave us great information on places to see in our way. Whenever we will be in this area again, we would love to stay there. We highly recommend this place.

Man wurde vollkommen in Ruhe gelassen, toller Ausblick aus dem Fenster, Direktparkplatz vor der Tür, sehr gepflegt, liebevolles Frühstück, geräumig, sauber, freundliche Gastgeberin.

Persönliche Meinung: man wohnt quasi bei Menschen mit in deren Wohnhaus - heisst u.a. Schuhe ausziehen, Koffer auf der Holztreppe tragen. Etwas hellhörig, Spiegel im Bad nur an der Seite.

Motueka is een uitstekende uitvalsbasis voor een bezoek aan Abel Tasman NP.. Host Julie is superlief, heeft goede tips en is zeer behulpzaam. The best!.

Extraordinarily clean and comfortable. In a safe, quiet neighborhood. The hosts were wonderful and gave us lots of tips for the area. The continental breakfast items were perfect, especially the fruit and yogurt. The property had everything we needed for our two day stay.

Wir haben uns sehr umsorgt gefühlt. Die Dame des Hauses ist super nett, und alles andere ist auch top: Zimmer, Bett, Bad, Komfort, Sauberketi, das Haus liegt in einer Villengegend von Motueka, der Hausbesitzer hat alle Holzarbeiten selbst ausgeführt!

Die Gastgeber waren überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, die Dusche/ WC-Bereich ebenfalls. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Vielen Dank an die Gastgeberin für die zahlreichen Tipps. Gerade der Stopp in Mapua mit der empfohlenen Galerie und dem leckeren Eis war mega gut.

Not specifically an issue but the walk into the main street is about 20 minutes, just something to plan for when staying.

Die Gastgeberin ist super nett, zuvorkommend und hat tolle Tipps zur Region. Wir hatten das Zimmer mit Bergblick und es war traumhaft. Das Zimmer und die Küche waren ausgestattet wie beschrieben und auf den Fotos dargestellt. Das zur Verfügung gestellt Frühstück war sehr lecker. Die Gegend ist ruhig und sehr schön. Alles in allem eine top Unterkunft und nur zu empfehlen.

Lovely large room in modern but characterful house, very private, but delightful hosts always willing to share a cheery chat on the way in or out. Good location near Motueka's beautiful shoreline, great for walks.

Coffee: I'd have liked real rather than instant, perhaps a French press? All else was excellent.

Location was great to explore the area, especially since Motueka is slightly larger and has all the amenities you would need in terms of restaurants, large grocery stores, and pharmacies (we had a big need for emergency antihistamines since my partner's pollen allergy went into overdrive and I developed some bad blisters on the Abel Tasman great walk). The hosts were wonderful, the room was lovely, spacious and clean, and having breakfast items available all day came in handy!

The host, Julie, was wonderful! Friendly, informative and helpful. The upstairs room we had in the B&B was spotless and well equipped. Bed was very good. Bathroom was also super clean and very functional. The location of the home in an upscale suburban neighborhood was terrific! Not right on top of the CBD, but just a 5 minute drive away. Perfect setting and location. Also the self-serve continental breakfast in the room was very nice and even included fresh fruit. Everything that was needed for a quick and tasty in-room breakfast!

Not much to not like. The upstairs rooms could use AC in the summer months, which this property did not have. We had a fan in our room to help, and the nights cooled down very nicely with open the windows, making it very comfy to sleep.

Very comfortable room, great area, nice and quiet. Julie and Grant were superb hosts, very welcoming and great local advice. Perfect location for trips up to Abel Tasman n park. Really a great stay, and nothing to suggest to improve, everything was spot on. Would be back like a shot if heading back up that way, and I hope to be as a wonderful area

Lovely B&B run by the lovely Julie who is so very helpful and friendly. Great brekky supplies in our room which had a wonderful view of the hills around Motueka. VERY comfy bed with quality sheets in an large room with a bar size frig, microwave, toaster and plenty of dishes. Easy walking all around town.

Julie's house was extremely comfortable and well-priced but the real treat was Julie herself. She was a font of excellent information on where to go and where to eat. Even better, on a day when my wife couldn't join me and my daughter, Julie took her on a tour of the town and generally made my wife's day off one of the highlights of her stay. The house itself was a short walk from the beach and a short drive from Abel Tasmin Park. Highly recommended.

It was a lovely greeting from Julie and Grant, fantastic accommodation, and they mentioned some lovley places to visit. 25-minute walk into town , 10 minute walk to the beach.

We had a perfect stay at the Haven on Glenaven B&B! Julie is such a wonderful person, we loved staying at her lovely home and if I ever come back to the beautiful Able Tasman Nationalpark I‘m definitely gonna stay with her again 😊

We paid for breakfast option. Continental: muesli, fresh fruit, toast, and orange juice was great, combined with coffee and tea making facility already in room. Refrigerator in room also very useful. Close to the tidal lagoon with its birdlife and cycle trail. In town, at The Warehouse, the EV charger is free.

Very spacious. This was excellent for 2 couples with 2 large bedrooms and a lounge room in between to visit. The beds were extremely comfortable and it was one of the cleanest B&B's I have ever stayed in. The hosts were welcoming, very friendly and passed on good travel information. Beach was just down the street with a nice walkway along it in either direction.

Julie hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen. Das B&B befindet sich in einer ruhigen Wohnsiedlung von Motueka. Restaurants sind ca. in 30 Minuten fußläufig zu erreichen. Parkplätze sind direkt vor dem Haus verfügbar. Mit Mietwagen ist Motueka ein toller Ausgangspunkt den Abel Tasman Nationalpark sowie Cape Farewell zu erkunden. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber und sah neuwertig und gepflegt aus. Das Bett war komfortabel (endlich eine Matratze, die nicht weich und durchgelegen war wie bisher auf unserer Reise durch NZ) Auch das Frühstück mit Kaffee, Milch, Toastbrot, Cornflakes, Müsli, Marmelade, Honig usw. war eine nette Geste. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hier übernachten. Haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt 😀

Ein gemütliches Studio mit gutem Frühstück im Zimmer stand uns zur Verfügung. Wir würden sehr freundlich von der Besitzerin des B&B begrüßt und die Einrichtungen unseres Studios wurden erklärt. Alles war sehr sauber, befindet sich in einem Privathaus. Die Schuhe werden im Erdgeschoss/Flur ausgezogen. Im ersten Obergeschoss hatten wir eine schöne Aussicht. In der Nähe gibt es einen tollen Birding Spot. Der Ausgangspunkt für Bootstouren in den Abel Tasman Nationalpark (Kaiteriteri) ist mit einer kurzen Autofahrt (ca. 20 min) erreichbar.

Nichts Wer Gehentfernung zum Stadtzentrum und zu den Geschäften möchte, braucht eine andere Unterkunft.

It felt like a lovely motel more than a B&B, I liked that our breakfast was in our room so we could get up and have it when ready. Fantastic shower , our room was really lovely and spacious. It was such a nice stay.

Everything! The room was beautiful all being made in wood. The bathroom was spacious. It was all spotless. The view over the mountains lovely. It is a few minutes walk to a pretty beach/bay. Our host Julie was very welcoming providing info about the area and suggesting what we could do and helping us plan our onward journey. The breakfast was tasty and copious. We loved our 2 night stay.
