Ļoti jauka vieta ar skatu un brizu. Gards brokastis, labākā kafija salā.
Family who own and run Zamaca are really welcoming generous and helpful. They make time to ensure that guests are comfortable. On our second night we enjoyed a splendid home cooked meal. The house is in a peaceful location up high with great views
Slightly remote, so car hire is strongly recommended.
The kindness of Elen and John was above and beyond what you could ever expect . Elen made us an excellent dinner . She also let us keep our room through the next day so that we had somewhere to return to to shower after a day out ( our flight home was in the evening) . These are good people.
There was nothing we didn't like.
Lovely quiet location, 25 minutes from the airport (in the south east)
Nothing, it was wonderful
Staff were extremely warm and welcoming during my stay.
The view and the breakfast
Hello , I had a terrible experience with the owners of property. First the bed and breakfast is hard to find and incredibly hard to drive to . The hills are so high that we could not get our suitcases because of the hill and the stairs . Her husband stayed seated in his chair at his desk looking at 2 women carrying heavy suitcases . He did not move one finger . No elevators and no help besides the owner daughter who was there . Plus when we arrived the owner asked us why did you booked 3 days before coming … which was a strange question. If they did not want someone coming to their bed and breakfast they should have told us . Then she said that in the morning we need to give her a time for the breakfast because she has a doctor’s appointment. She made us pay 2 sandwiches and 2 bottle of water 20 dollars extra . She also makes us pay the drive to the airport with their car 35 US dollars instead of calling a cab . Plus when I asked for extra coffee , it’s sounds as she was did not want to make more . We ended up up paying 147 dollars plus 20 dollars for sandwiches plus 35 dollars for a taxi ride which was her own car . We will never go back to Zamaca hotel .
The owners are so sweet and welcoming! The breakfast was delicious (and we tried a St-Lucian breakfast!), same as dinner. Comfortable bed. Nice view from the balcony with a nice breeze. Very clean. You need a car to get there and visit around. Thank you again!
Even with the window open and the breeze, the room was still a bit warm for our liking
Fantastic !!! Tasty breakfast and a special dinner were great, and the service was fantastic.
Shower could be a little better.
Ellen and John are fabulous hosts and made us feel very welcome after a long flight from the UK which included welcome drinks! The frittata breakfast in the morning was spot on and we enjoyed chatting to Ellen and John about the origins of the building and the surrounding area. Our room was spacious and clean with fabulous views to the sea. We will recommend Zamaca to friends and family.
For some the location may be challenging however the roads leading to the property are perfectly passable for competent drivers and the property is well signposted. Our taxi driver found the property easily even in the dark.
We liked everything about this place. Zamaca is far enough out of Micoud to feel remote, with amazing views from our room overlooking Fond Bay and the rainforest and valley, and very peaceful. Also no mosquitoes!! John and Ellen are lovely hosts and were so helpful! E.g. giving us a packed lunch to take down to the beach and getting a neighbour to give us a lift down to Sandy beach. Breakfast was great and Ellen also did 2 evening meals which were outstanding. It made our time here so special. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and felt sad to leave such a wonderful and unique place. We would love to return here and see our hosts again.
Nothing we disliked at all. It's easier staying here if you have a car as it is out of the way, but we were fine and Ellen had a reliable taxi service she arranged for us.
Great location coming from the airport. Very clean. Wonderful hosts and a delicious breakfast.
Nothing
Stay here if you are looking for off-the-beaten path accomodations, a cultural exprience and amazing hosts, Ellen & John. They made us feel right at home in their beautiful home on a hill side with views of the dramatic Fond Bay. It litterally feels like your the only place in this hidden gem of an area. If you want to be right in the action of tourists and night-lifers this may not be the spot for you. One the otherhand, it was the perfect location to go on day trips and return to a very comfortable inviting place/family. The Pitons are about an hour drive as well as Castries and Rodney Bay and if your into nature and hiking, there is plenty to do right in the local area. Nicki, Ellen's daughter, was kind enough to bring us to an amazing the "majestic uncharted" Sault River waterfalls.
Was surprised that there was no airconditioning, but because of the homes perch high on the hillside, the room had constant breezes keeping us very comfortable. (so not really a negative, just info for those who absolutely need AC.
Wonderful traditional bed-and-breakfast, run by a lovely couple, located on a tranquil hillside on the less-touristy side of the island. My room was super comfortable and came with a huge private terrace that offered great views of the beach and ocean. The hosts' hospitality is truly unsurpassed.
I booked late on a Monday evening following flight cancellation and received confirmation of the booking. However, the property was difficult to find and when we arrived (by taxi) the gates were all chained and locked shut and it appeared that no-one was there. There was no reply on the given telephone number (just an ansaphone). Therefore, we were effectively stranded....saved only by the fact that our taxi driver stayed whilst we tried to gain access/make contact with someone. We had to abort and were extremely fortunate to find someone at the north of the island (1.5 hours drive) who could put us up for the night in their private home. Totally unacceptable.
View and private balcony. Breakfast was great, non pork options were available!
Perhaps I am spoiled here in the states with air conditioning. But air conditioning was advertised for the stay, however it was not available in the room, St Lucia happens to be very windy, which is good because it ends up keeping you cool, fan over bed was also nice.
The hosts were amazing. They could not have made us more welcomed if they tried, nothing was too much trouble. Whilst the location was exceptional you will need transportation. We are hoping to return in due course.. Word of warning if you play dominoes look out John is far more adept than he makes out. We truly loved every aspect of our time there. Thank you so much our Micoud friends
There is nothing we did not like but guests needs to be aware that the location is off the beaten track. Great for us.
Close to the airport when our flight was canceled. Hosts were super kind and accommodating for our last minute stay (make sure to call ahead if booking online). Great homemade breakfast provided!
Beads were hard and no air conditioning. Might be ok if the rooms were facing a different side of the house because there is a very strong breeze on this side of the island.
The hosts are wonderful and helpful in every way. Breakfast was great. Views from our bedroom balcony were incredible and loved the breeze. Short drive to the airport, Lattile Falls and Sandy beach.
We spent a lot of time on the balcony in the evenings. The balcony furniture could use an upgrade. The plastic folding chairs are uncomfortable.
Ellen and John are super friendly
Ellen and John are truly fabulous hosts, we couldn’t have asked for more during our stay. As hosts ourselves we know how hard it can be. They were awesome, amazing food, Ellen is a brilliant chef, her meals were definitely a highlight of our stay! The accommodation was exceptionally clean and had all we needed, nothing was too much trouble, a perfect first few nights of our holiday making memories we will one treasure, thank you Ellen and John for all xxx
Nothing, it was perfect
We don't have phone service or GPS and had a hard time finding the place after dark. Very clear written directions would be good. Maybe more signs also.
This property is in an EXCELLENT location. It is a little difficult to find but as a SUPERB view from a hill with gentle breezes. The hosts could not have been more welcoming and we had an EXCELLENT evening meal. The property offers very convenient accommodation near the airport for International Flights
Difficult to locate on the first night
Ellen and John are amazing! They are so welcoming, caring and joyful. Ellen made the best breakfast! We loved the different varieties that she surprised us with each morning as well as the fresh fruits. Overall a great experience and we highly recommend Ellen and John!
Beautiful view overlooking the ocean
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Zamaca in St. Lucia, and it was an experience I will treasure forever. From the moment I arrived, I was completely mesmerized by the breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean that greeted me. The property truly boasts one of the best views in the area, and it left me in awe of the natural beauty that surrounded me. One of the standout aspects of my stay was the refreshing air that permeated the entire property. The location of Zamaca allows for a gentle breeze to flow through, making it incredibly pleasant and eliminating the need for air conditioning. It was a true delight to be able to breathe in the fresh, clean air and feel so connected to nature. However, what truly set my experience at Zamaca apart was the warmth and hospitality of John and Helen, the owners of the property. From the moment I met them, I felt like a part of their extended family. Helen's cooking skills are nothing short of exceptional, and I couldn't help but feel like I was enjoying meals prepared by my own loving and talented god-fearing aunt. Her dishes were not only delicious but also infused with love and care. John and Helen went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. They were always available to provide recommendations for activities and sights to explore on the island, ensuring that I had a fantastic time during my stay. Their genuine kindness and welcoming nature truly made me feel at home. In conclusion, Zamaca in St. Lucia offers a breathtaking view of the Atlantic, refreshing air, great conversations, and an exceptional level of hospitality from John and Helen. If you're looking for a place that combines natural beauty, comfort, and heartfelt warmth, Zamaca is the perfect choice. I can't wait to return and experience their hospitality again.
While my stay at Zamaca in St. Lucia was perfect in many ways, I would highly recommend considering renting a car if you wish to explore areas beyond the property. Although the stunning views and welcoming atmosphere at Zamaca are hard to leave behind, having a car would provide the freedom and convenience to venture out and discover other attractions on the island. St. Lucia has so much to offer, and having your own transportation would ensure that you can fully immerse yourself in all the beauty and experiences this wonderful destination has to offer.
Fantastic hosts. Most helpful. Good location from which to visit attractions on the Eastern side. The view to the sea and breeze from the Atlantic. The sunrise. Great house.
The extremely welcome from the hosts and an excellent home cooked dinner.
Great breakfasts in a beautiful room when it was too windy outside...
Kettles in the room and plugs in the sinks would eliminate wasting water...
The food and service was excellent. The owners went out of their way to accommodate us.
The brochure might mention that it is not handicap accessible. There are many stairs and no other way to get to the rooms
Breakfast was excellent. Location was a bit secluded.
The lack of restaurants in town. Place was more local, not touristy. Wished we would known to stop earlier to eat or to see if hostess could provide dinner - she said she would if she had enough notice. Would have been worthwhile if her dinner meals are as good as her breakfasts!
The views were beautiful. It is located in a quiet area with only large homes. It is about 15-20 minute drive to the airport. It has easy access to lovely beaches and beaches. Plan to dine there at least 2 nights. Our host Ellen is a phenomenal chef -local food with a lovely touch of Italian. I recommend staying here the first few days or at end. Ellen will make sure that you have a perfect time.
Beautiful home and view, tasty breakfast, spacious room, secure safe location, quiet and peaceful, close to airport
Too many stairs for luggage, dated furniture, bathroom needs updating, location far from stores and restaurants, dining room not available had to eat on windy terrace or room
This is a lovely place to stay - a quiet area near Micoud. The hosts are charming and welcoming and very sensitive to your needs. Breakfast is creative and thoughtful. Evening meals if requested are superb and authentic. The views from the property are stunning. It's great to get away from hotels and all-inclusive trappings to stay in a nice house with nice people and be free to explore the less visited bits of the island. Best beaches are a short drive away to the south. Micoud nearby has several excellent local restaurants who are very welcoming.
The wifi was good but didn't reach our bedroom, so we tended to work and check on the landing. Vital to have a car here.
This is a really beautiful, solid house in a quiet neighborhood with great views of the coast and a lush green valley. The hosts are perfect, friendly and helpful. Meals were served promptly at the agreed time and Ellen's cooking was excellent. We stayed in for two delicious dinners. We spent a fair amount of time reading our books and enjoying the view from the balcony for our room. We found having a car necessary to access Sandy Beach, restaurants, and sights in the area.
We liked everything about our stay, but you should be aware that this home is not in a heavy tourist area, and is not close to the better known St. Lucia attractions. It is a great place to unwind after being on the west side of the island.
We needed a place to stay on St Lucia for one night at short notice when our original flight to St Vincent was cancelled and we were re-routed. John and Ellen were outstanding hosts and their B&B a spotlessly clean, very comfortable place to stop over before our new flight.
Honestly, nothing. The B&B isn't especially close to any shops and the taxi driver had to call a friend for directions to find it, but that wasn't an issue for us. It was exactly what we needed.
Beautiful views and attentive hosts.
Lovely friendly hosts. Nothing too much trouble. Fantastic breakfast and super-clean space
Nothing at all!
