Exquisitely beautiful, like a dream. Maria and her family were incredibly kind and accommodating, I had a very restorative stay, will definitely be back.

Maria war einfach ein Schatz und hat unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas Besonderem gemacht. Vom ersten Moment an hat sie uns unglaublich herzlich willkommen geheissen und dafür gesorgt, dass wir uns wie zu Hause fühlen. Jeden Morgen hat sie uns ein ausgezeichnetes Frühstück zubereitet und war jederzeit hilfsbereit, aufmerksam und sehr fürsorglich. Eine Gastgeberin, wie man sie sich nur wünschen kann. Ganz klar 10/10! Auch die Unterkunft selbst hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Zimmer hatte für ein Paar eine angenehme Grösse und der Balkon bot eine wunderschöne Aussicht. Die ruhige, naturverbundene Umgebung lädt zum Entspannen ein und auch eine Parkmöglichkeit ist direkt vorhanden. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Vielen lieben Dank für alles, Maria!

Für uns gab es nichts Nennenswertes zu beanstanden. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Excelente pequeno almoço com produtos caseiros e bastante diverso. Ambiente muito tranquilo, habitação muito bem conservada e limpa. Recepção calorosa por parte da anfitriã Maria.

A nice off grid accommodation, modern interior, spacious and cozy common area with a kitchen, spacious room, tasty breakfast, friendly host and free parking. I recommend to check out the walking paths in the woods nearby.

O pequeno almoço era realmente muito bom, e feito com muito carrinho. O quarto era bastante confortável. A Maria deu-nos muito boas referências.

Fantastisch verblijf om tot rust te komen. Het is nog mooier dan op de foto's"s. Maria en haar moeder Yacinta zorgen er voor dat je je helemaal thuis voelt. Het ontbijt is heerlijk, iedere dag wordt er iets vers gebakken. Vanuit het huis kan je een mooie hike doen langs een zijtak van de Douro. Ook een prima uitvalsbasis voor een bezoek aan de wijngaarden (uurtje rijden). Of heel de dag niks doen. In het nabijgelegen Cinfaes zijn een paar goede restaurants en in het huis kan je gebruik maken van de keuken.

Posto meraviglioso! Molto tranquillo e immerso nella natura. Per visitare la Valle del Douro é davvero perfetto. Punto di partenza per noi anche per visitare Guimarães e Braga in un giorno. Maria e la sua famiglia sono davvero molto accoglienti e ci hanno dato tantissimi consigli utili per visitare i dintorni e anche per pranzare/cenare. Colazione fresca preparata al momento, fantastica e abbondante. Grazie davvero sono stati 3 giorni bellissimi presso di voi e ci siamo sentiti come a casa. La struttura é molto accogliente e moderna

This is the second time we stay at A Padaria and I am pretty sure we’ll keep returning. Maria and her mom are the loveliest hosts and made our stay excellent once again (offering to cook us dinner, giving us fresh fruit from their garden and meeting every request). The grounds and the property are so so beautiful and calming, you completely disconnect from everything and forget all your worries. Oh and the fact that they are dog friendly was the cherry on top of the cake for us.

Nothing to note, genuinely perfect stay.

Tout : L’accueil, la propreté, le site superbe, petit déjeuner copieux et varié fait maison. Le logement, les chambres, la terrasse sont très agréables. Le coin salon et l’espace petit déjeuner, très spacieux. Tout est sobre et décoré avec goût. Félicitations pour les confitures et le granola maison.

The owner was so nice! Her breakfast was lovely, and the property was extremely clean. There was a very friendly outdoor cat as well.

Fomos muito bem recebidos, a Maria sabe receber hóspedes como se fossem Família ou Amigos. A Padaria é um sitio muito calmo, decorado com simplicidade e bom gosto. Acordamos todos os dias com uma grande sensação de descanso. Um grande obrigado à Maria e família.

The property was easy to find. It is located just off a main road, but in a lovely rural location, and accessed off its own, private drive. There were a lot of trees surrounding the buildings. It was very quiet and relaxing. Parking was plentiful and easy. Breakfast was absolutely delicious: fruit, fruit juice, home made jams, eggs cooked to order, and fresh coffee. It really was exceptionally good. The hostess and her mother were so generous and welcoming; they make you feel very much at home, and at ease. Nothing was too much trouble The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable - the air-conditioning was both efficient and quiet.

A Paderia is a magical place. I arrived with a broken spirit, but I left feeling that my healing had begun. Maria, and a special thanks to her mother Jacinta, instinctively knew what I needed. Their kindness and warmth are what make A Paderia such a special place. And their inclusiveness brings that out in their guests as well. There is no way to describe the magic, one needs to experience it. Thank you Maria and Jacinta for being such wonderful people.

There wasn’t anything that wasn’t special

Soin et attention sur les éléments de décoration et ameublement intérieur. Très propre et bien entretenu. Accueil chaleureux tout en restant discret. Équipements de qualité. Le meilleur petit déjeuner, servi le matin avec des fruits frais du jardin et des confitures faites maison, le tout dans une atmosphère relaxante.

Tout était parfait, manque peut être une petite table d’appoint pour compléter les transats dans le jardin afin de prendre l’apéro mais c’est un détail :)

Один из лучший отелей, в которых мы бывали ❤️ Невероятно уютное, стильное пространство — минималистичное, при этом с яркими деталями. Видно, что всё очень качественное и выбранное с любовью — материалы, бытовая техника, мебель, постельное бельё. Момент, когда в каждой мелочи чувствуется забота. Мария и её мама — чуткие, гостеприимные хозяйки. На территории есть деревья киви и мандаринов, можно угоститься прямо с дерева. Но будьте уверены, что будет возможность поесть фрукты и на завтрак. Также на завтраке будет хлеб, сыры, яйца, домашняя выпечка, йогурт, домашние варенья, джемы и... ЛИМОННЫЙ КУРД! Это мой абсолютный фаворит. В комнате есть кондиционер, так что было очень тепло и комфортно даже в самые холодные дни. В 7 минутах от отеля есть супермаркет. На общей кухне можно приготовить себе обед или ужин. Также очень уютно было пить чай у камина и ёлки.

Мы привыкли начинать завтрак с овощей, поэтому было непривычно без них. Пожалуй, это единственное, к чему можно придраться. Всё остальное — супер!

We stayed here New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. We had an incredible meal of cod and pork, with green wine, champagne, and endless desserts. So much incredible food!

May have been a language barrier but the hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast every morning was such a delight, the rooms were both spacious and cosy, and the compound is truly a slice of paradise.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful farmhouse. Everything was perfect, making us feel right at home. The breakfast was also excellent.

The most beautiful, comfortable and peaceful accommodation and setting. The rooms are spacious, cosy and very tastefully furnished. Maria is a very warm and welcoming host providing us with detailed information about ideal activities and destinations to make the most of our first stay in the Douro Valley. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented including home made items. We were very fortunate to also be offered a fantastic dinner made by Maria's Mum.

This fantastic stay lived up to the other reviews we saw before booking. Maria was such a welcoming and warm person (as was her lovely Mum) Nothing was to much for Maria. We have stayed all over Europe and this rates way up in our estimation. The produce put in front of us for breakfast was all grown locally and the eggs fromJacinta's Chooks were so tasty. Overall fantastic.

I truly enjoyed my stay at A Padaria. This place carries a certain magical tranquility. The location, surrounded by tall trees, the horses in the field, the vegetable garden… it all felt so peaceful and grounding. Maria was such a kind and warm host, radiating a sense of calm that made it impossible not to slow down and “rewind.” The breakfast was wonderfully prepared every morning, with fresh juice, a perfect cappuccino, eggs, bread, yogurt… just thinking about it makes my mouth water again! To make the most of your stay here, you’ll definitely need a car to explore the area. This region is especially suited for hikers and nature lovers. The nearby village has two lovely restaurants where I enjoyed delicious meals. Maria is always ready to answer your questions and help you plan activities. The rooms are beautifully and serenely decorated. My room had a cozy chair by the window, the perfect spot to read a book with the sun on my face and enjoy the immense peace and quiet. This is truly a place that helps you slow down. I can only recommend it wholeheartedly!

Cada detalle en A Padaria está cuidado, la decoración es preciosa, hasta los discos que hay en cada habitación están bien elegidos. El desayuno es maravilloso, y el entorno, espectacular, pero sin duda lo mejor es el trato de María. Ella es todo lo que transmite en su casa: paz, calma. Volvería una y mil veces. De hecho, pienso hacerlo :)

The place is as lovely as the heart of Maria, the incredible host. Staying here feels like stepping into a timeless retreat : a beautifully curated home in perfect harmony with the surrounding nature. The homemade breakfast is delicious, and Maria is full of thoughtful recommendations. Thanks to her, we discovered hidden gems away from the more touristy spots and enjoyed wonderful local addresses. We can’t recommend this place enough and will happily share it with friends and family.

Gastvrouw Maria is van de buitencategorie. Nog nooit iemand getroffen die zo begaan is met haar gasten en zich zo dienbaar opstelt. Hygiëne was uitstekend. Ontbijt met verse lokale producten.

Badkamer onder schuin dak, is niet ideaal voor mensen boven de 1.6m. Geen stopcontact vrij bij nachtkastjes.

O alojamento está minuciosamente decorado, com imenso bom gosto. Foi o sítio ideal para desligar e recarregar energias com a companhia das nossas patudas. A Jacinta faz comida maravilhosa e foi também maravilhosa a receber-nos. Recomendo vivamente!

Absolutely adorable house in a calm area perfect to relax. The hosts Maria and her Mum welcomed us so lovely.

It is a beautiful house, with very relaxing and calming atmosphere. We immediately felt at peace. It’s beautifully decorated. The host Maria is exceptional. She is kind, attentive and very helpful. She gave us great recommendations. The breakfast is amazing with homemade jams, delicious bread, eggs, homemade yogurt and a pastry, fruits. It never ends! We were sad to leave, but happy we got to spend two wonderful nights there. We will definitely come back.

My wife and I recently spent two nights at A Padaria Farmhouse and left wishing we had stayed longer. We were warmly welcomed by Jacinta, the gracious matriarch, who showed us to our cozy room, which opened onto a large shared balcony. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was especially appreciated on an unusually hot day. As the name suggests, the farmhouse was once a working bakery, and that heritage is alive and well. Jacinta mentioned that another couple had opted for dinner at the farmhouse and invited us to join. We happily accepted and were treated to a memorable evening of delicious food, excellent family wine, and delightful conversation. Jacinta’s cooking and baking were truly exceptional — from appetizers to dessert, everything was homemade and full of heart. The next morning, we were greeted by Maria and served a beautiful breakfast. A personal highlight was the homemade breads and jams, along with honey from the neighbor’s hives next door. Behind the property, there’s a short trail that leads to some older buildings no longer in use. If you're lucky, you might spot their uncle’s flock of sheep grazing nearby — we were even treated to the sight of a days-old black lamb. So cute! Staying at A Padaria Farmhouse felt like being welcomed into the family. If you have the chance, don’t hesitate — you’ll be so glad you did.
