Reviewed Sep 12, 2026Sehr schöner Ort mit einer tollen Aussicht aus dem Fenster. Der Scherrer-Park und der Aussichtspunkt sind ganz in der Nähe, außerdem gibt es viele Cafés und Restaurants in der Umgebung. Wir mussten sogar kein Taxi nehmen – vom Zentrum von Lugano fährt ein direkter Bus, und das Hotel liegt ganz in der Nähe der Bushaltestelle. Auch die Stadt selbst ist wunderschön. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen!

Everything was good, just a tip for other travelers to pack ear plugs, as Morcote is a lively place late into the night.

Trop petite chambre et toute petite fenêtre. Dans la salle de bains rien pour poser des petits affaires et pas de barre pour suspendre les linges, surtout après utilisation. Il y à qu’un verre pour pour rincer les dents et nous étions deux personnes. Robinetterie qui bouge! Cette chambre devrait être occupée que par une personne max !! Deuxième jour, l’après-midi (après 16h) la chambre n’était pas faite et on nous a répondue que elle se faisais que tous les deux jours. Peut-être elle parlait que pour les linges? Elle parlait que très très peux l’anglais. Après réclamation elle a fait les lits et nous a apporté des linges secs et propre… Les employés ainsi le « directeur » ne parlent pas un mot d’ allemand ni français et qu’une dame très peux anglais. A part cela ils étaient sympas.

Reviewed Aug 25, 2026Alle sehr freundlich, Zimmer sauber. Mobile Klimaanlage schafft nicht ganz die Wärme zu vertreiben. Sehr nah am Zentrum und Sehenswürdigkeiten, Parkhaus in der nähe, wir haben 18 Franken bezahlt für fast 20 Stunden - ich glaube, dass gilt auch für 24 Stunden.

Életem legrosszabb szállodai élménye. 1-2 havonta utazunk, tehát van mihez viszonyítanunk. Ha teheted akkor ne gyere ide. 35° meleg vot a szobában. A légkondicionáló 1 percig hűtött majd 15 percig csak keringette a benti levegőt. Mind ezt úgy, hogy olyan hangja volt, mint egy helikopternek. Mikor ezt szóvá tettük azt mondták, hogy nem tudnak mit tenni. Majd a tulajdonos felajánlotta, hogy visszatériti a befizetett összeget. Mondanom se kell, hogy nem lehetett aludni egy percet sem. Ha kinyitottuk az ablakot akkor a poloskák repültek be. Rémálom volt ez az éjszaka. Így az első éjszaka után elhagytuk reggel a szállást. Ezt követően meg is jött a foglalás törlése e mailben. Majd jött a hitegetés, hogy mikor kapjuk vissza a pénzünket. Most úgy néz ki, hogy soha. Hazudoznak össze vissza. A booking.com is csak hiteget és tehetetlen. Senki ne foglaljon itt szobát. Hiteltelen hazug társaság. Amúgy a szoba is nagyon kicsi és a parkolás is 20 euro 1 éjszakára. Remélem, hogy a tulajdonos is olvassa és felébred benne a lelkiismeret és visszafizeti a megigért visszatérítést. 700 CHF ot. Ha nem akkor méltatlan egy Hotel vezetésére. Erre azért nem számítottunk,, hogy Svájcban ilyen megtőrténhet. Senki ne jöjjön ebbe a hotelbe!!! Kerüljétek el jó messzire!

Reviewed Aug 24, 2026Super freundliches Personal. Es wurde uns alles gut erklärt und wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt. Das Restaurant ist erstklassig. Die Bedienung (Shaela) hat uns rundum toll bedient und beraten. Wir haben uns total wohl gefühlt und dass Abendessen sehr genossen.

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026Das Zimmer war sauber, optisch ansprechend und entsprach weitgehend der Beschreibung. Die Lage in Morcote ist ideal und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis grundsätzlich in Ordnung. Besonders positiv war die sehr gut funktionierende Klimaanlage, dank der wir trotz Hitzewelle angenehm schlafen konnten.
Leider gab es deutliche organisatorische Mängel. Trotz Nachfrage erhielten wir das Ticino Ticket nicht und mussten unsere ÖV-Billette selbst bezahlen. Eine vollständige Rückerstattung wurde uns anschließend ausdrücklich zugesagt. Nachdem eine erste Überweisung angeblich zurückgekommen war, sollte diese erneut ausgeführt werden. Trotz nochmals übermittelter Bankdaten ist bis heute kein Geld eingegangen. Auch bei einer Verletzung während des Aufenthalts war kaum geeignetes Erste-Hilfe-Material vorhanden, sodass ich mich am nächsten Tag in einer Apotheke versorgen lassen musste. Kaffee und Wasserflasche fehlten entgegen der Beschreibung ebenfalls, was für uns allerdings nicht weiter störend war. Insgesamt eine an sich angenehme Unterkunft, bei Organisation und Zuverlässigkeit besteht aus meiner Sicht jedoch deutliches Verbesserungspotenzial.

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026La vue est magnifique. L’emplacement est idéal pour découvrir la région. Un des plus beaux villages de Suisse.
La chambre est vraiment minuscule. Il y a la climatisation mais elle fait un bruit épouvantable et fonctionne très mal. Résultat plus de 30 degrés dans la chambre sous les toits. Pas de ménage fait pendant notre séjour.

The air conditioning units in the rooms are extremely loud and did not make a big difference in temperature. Access to the rooms is complicated. Toilets leaked every time we flushed. No parking despite listed on booking.com (paid public parking is 400m away).

Zunächst hat man versucht, uns ein deutlich schlechteres Zimmer als das bei Booking gebuchte und bezahlte anzudrehen. Das Zimmer, das wir am Ende dann erhielten, war ebenfalls schlecht (Duschablauf verstopft, so dass das Wasser ins Zimmer läuft; Offen liegendes Stromkabel im Bad; Klimagerät, dessen Abluft durch ein Loch in der Fensterscheibe geführt wird ...). Außerdem merkmürdig: Es wird kein Frühstück angeboten!

Reviewed Jul 13, 2026The location is wonderful. Right on the lake and a peaceful village. Which was exactly what we were looking for. Unfortunately temperatures were low 30s C and humid. The room was very small, approximately 16 sq, had one very small window and a mobile aircon which took up room space. We moved furniture out to fit in our cases. Unfortunately the room was unbearably hot, and the aircon noisey. We did not sleep. We had booked for 4 nights but left after our first night. There was no where to go for respite, to get away from the heat

Reviewed Jul 11, 2026Tolle Lage mit einem wunderschönen Ausblick vom Balkon. Das Apartment ist sehr authentisch und hat viel Charme. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Während unseres Aufenthalts waren es über 40 °C, und der mobile Luftkühler hat den Aufenthalt deutlich angenehmer gemacht. Für uns war es eines der schönsten Urlaubserlebnisse im Tessin. Wir würden gerne wiederkommen.
Das Einzige, was uns gefehlt hat, war eine Kaffeemaschine oder zumindest ein Wasserkocher. Da das Apartment über eine gut ausgestattete Küche verfügt, wäre das für ein entspanntes Frühstück am Morgen perfekt gewesen.

The bathroom smells like sewer! The sinks (and probably the shower) were plumbed without traps and is smells terrible, the shower walls are not cleanable, the bathroom fan doesn’t work, the A/C really only works for one room, and there is a 50CHF surcharge if you use the kitchen. Additionally, all of this is for a property that is far too expensive for the facilities.

Reviewed Jun 29, 2026Shayla was amazing and made our stay fantastic. Great lakefront location, with air cooling system that kept us cool for sleeping. Excellent food from the restraurant. Storybook setting in an historic old building upgraded with some modern touches. Shayla pointed us towards points of interest and swimming opportunities as well. Loved it. Parking garage is about 7 minutes away, reasonable pricing. Boat stop is just across the lane. Bus nearby.
Just remember that you are in a small village, and restaurants are not open all day, so plan accordingly for your meals. And because its a lovely older building, you will have cobblestone walkways and several flights of stairs to your room.

Reviewed Jun 8, 2026La ubicación del hotel no puede ser mejor. Escogimos una habitación con vista al lago y superó nuestras expectativas. Tener vista a las montañas, al lago con sus aguas cristalinas, escuchar a los pajaritos al amanecer y de noche poder ver la luna llena desde nuestra ventana ha hecho de nuestro viaje algo especial. La limpieza de la habitación y del resto de áreas del hotel perfecta. El colchón y la almohadas super cómodas y se descansa más que bien. La comida del chef (tagliatelle agli asparagi e gamberoni... el tiramisú... pastel de manzana y pastel de arándanos... mmm... 10/10) Más allá que Morcote es un lugar muy bonito sin lugar a dudas y que el hotel es mucho más de lo que se ve en fotos, el personal es super amable, atentos y te hacen sentir más que a gusto. Estamos agradecidos con ellos.

Reviewed May 8, 2026De locatie was perfect. Bus en ferry voor het hotel. Parkeergarage niet ver lopen. Echter de gastheer die ons hielp op 4 mei was onbeschoft dus totaal geen heer, liet ons voor een dichte deur bij aankomst wachten, reageerde enkel op 2 andere mannen die binnren kwamen, heeft geen excuus gemaakt voor het ons laten wachten, keek ons daarna de volgende dagen nooit meer aan. Echt genant. De kamers die ik eigenlijk grboekt had waren open om te bekijken, deze stonken verschrikkelijk naar schimmel en muf. De kamer die we toegewezen kregen was 4 trappen omhoog en iets beter. De serveerster Sabrina maakte alles goed, zij was wel super aardig en zou beter de functie van hostess passen. Zij regelde een ticino gratis openaar vervoer pas voor ons, waarmee we met de bus 431 naar Lugano en terug konden.
De gastheer was verschrikkelijk!

Il n’y avait ni bouilloire, ni machine à café! Ustensiles de cuisine dont un couteau et un éplucheur avec une casserole ou une poêle supplémentaire n’aurait pas été du luxe. Pour chipoter, Je n’ai pas eu accès au wifi ni d’explications d’utilisation pour la tv.
