B&B Le Cloître St Joseph

Heel vriendelijke en enthousiaste vrouw. Zeer lekker ontbijt met zelfgemaakte broodjes en confituur van het huis. Ik kon de broodjes op voorhand al ruiken terwijl ik in het zalige bed aan het lezen was. :)

De wc had soms zijn kuren en maakte af en toe uit het niets lawaai. Hierdoor kon ik de deur naar de badkamer 's nachts niet laten openstaan. De frigo was niet aangesloten op elektriciteit. Hier en daar was wat stof te vinden.

Prachtige B&B in Mesen, de kleinste stad van Vlaanderen. Perfecte locatie om de Westhoek te verkennen. Rustiek en stijlvol ingericht voormalig klooster met 4 ruime kamers, eetruimte, lounge en prachtige tuin. Hartelijk onthaal en je kan er heel lekker en stijlvol dineren. Het ontbijt is trouwens ook top!

Zeer mooie verzorgde B&B .. de dame des huize is top 😊

Super nice B&B and really nice hosts

Eine wundervolle Unterkunft, die Gastgeber sind zauberhaft und das Frühstück wie auch das Abendessen war gehobenes Niveau. Das ganze Haus ist mit viel Liebe eingerichtet und auch der Garten ist liebevoll gestaltet.

Es gibt absolut nichts zu beanstanden!

De geknipte gastvrouw Heel smaakvol ingericht en bijna alles selfmade. Het huis en tuin hebben een ziel.

De gastvrouw was fantastisch, ze deed er alles aan om het de gasten naar de zin te maken. Ook het ontbijt was super! Heel uitgebreid, meerdere keuzes, alles vers en/of huisgemaakt

De kamers waren een beetje gehorig wel, maar dat hoort een beetje bij een oud pand. Vond het niet erg

Stylish and comfortable accommodation, while keeping the character of the original building. Food (evening meal and breakfast) were excellent. Hosts are friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this B&B.

Supergastvrije gastvrouw. Verrukkelijk ontbijt. Alles tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Uitstekende uitvalsbasis voor Ieper en wandelroutes in Heuvelland.

Reception was very friendly, the room beautiful and comfortable, and the breakfast.... oooh that breakfast: wow!

Quelques détails qui pourraient être améliorés : vitre de la porte cassé, très mauvaise insonorisation : on entend tout ce qui se passe dans les chambres voisines. Il faut payer cash (on ne peut pas payer par carte), j'ai payé 409,50 euros pour trois nuits avec petit déjeuner et annulation gratuite -ce qui n'est pas donné. J'ai demandé une quittance, la propriétaire m'a dit qu'elle me l'enverrait pas mail. J'ai demandé par mail à deux reprises cette quittance que je n'ai toujours pas reçu 10 jours plus tard. Je n'apprécie pas du tout ce gendre de procédé...

De vriendelijke ontvangst, de sfeer, je voelt je zeer welkom en een geziene gast. Wij hebben genoten van het diner en het geweldige ontbijt.

C'est notre deuxième séjour au B&B Le Cloître St Joseph. Notre hôtesse est radieuse et très accueillante. La décoration des chambres et des pièces communes est très recherchée et agréable. La chambre était très propre et tout était fonctionnel. Le top de l'établissement est sans conteste le petit-déjeuner très varié et vraiment succulent...

L'écran du téléviseur est tout petit.

Very quiet and peaceful location. Our hosts were super friendly the accomodation has a delightful decor and the evening meal was excellent value and very tasty. The same with the breakfast! Lovely to have water, tea and coffee in the room and a small sofa where you could enjoy beverages. The outlook over the back garden was delightful and we watched the beautiful sun rise in the morning. We stayed one night but could have stayed longer. Loved having a coffee pod machine and a kettle in the room with a bottle of water provided.

I found the bed too soft, there was a firmer side but it wasn't on my "ususal" side I sleep on at home. I would have liked to have had a bath in the bathroom. We were in a suite and more expensive and I expect that in that type of room. However I did book the room knowing there was no bath. I found the towels too small and we didn't try on the toweling robes as they also looked very small. We had shampoo but really could have done with some conditioner in the bathroom as I didnt take these as we were only staying 24 hours in Belgium and I normally find these in the rooms where we stay. We had 2 coffee pods, 2 teabags and 2 creamers in the room. It would have been good to have had more provided. We were suprised to have to pay cash for our stay, it apparently was on the listing but we didn't notice it. I am not sure why card isn't taken for ease?

Het ontbijt was uitstekend, en de gastvrouw supervriendelijk,het diner was ook verzorgt en lekker, zeker een aanrader!

Zeer vriendelijk onthaal,lekker en uitgebreid ontbijt,het avondeten was lekker en aan te raden Mooie attentie voor de jarige! Goede bedden en aangenaam aperitieven in de tuin. Een aanrader!

Mooi (soms iets te overvloedig) ingerichte B&B. Hartelijke ontvangst en zeer vriendelijke gastdame. Heer ruime, propere en aangename kamers. Goede matras. Tuin nog wat in opbouw maar zeer aangenaam. Leuk om 's avonds te aperitieven. Zeer uitgebreid ontbijt, mooi gedecoreerde tafel.

De douchedeur ging niet vlot dicht en had in de hoekjes wat aanslag. Door het warme weer hadden we het raam graag open. Maar er is geen insectengaas aan de ramen, waardoor de muggen graag een bezoekje kwamen brengen. Ik heb blijkbaar lekker bloed... Er was ook geen dun hoofdkussen, wat voor een buikslaper wel beter is. Misschien had ik er nog eens expliciet moeten naar vragen...

Amazing host, so warm and friendly.. Rooms beautiful lots of attention to detail and really comfy. Breakfast was out of this world. An absolutely delicious feast so much work and effort looked incredible and tasted even better.. Fresh home made rolls, eggs cooked to order, delightful platters of fruits, meats and cheeses, cereals, fresh Juices, tea and coffee, pastries was amazing. Would not hesitate to recommend or stay here again.

The only minor thing could do with more than 2 teabags in the room but we always take extra ourselves so no problem.

Absolutely lovely property with lovely original charm and beautiful bath.

On the only one drawback we found was the WiFi didn’t reach our room. Apart from that it was fantastic.

Not really a criticism, just my misunderstanding. I had read the reviews about the excellent evening meals and assumed this was available. It was off season and was only available by arrangement. We found a local bar that offered basic food and we enjoyed the visit anyway. Luckily, I just noticed that you have to pay in cash for the accommodation before we arrived, otherwise this could catch you out!
