Nos gustó todo pero recomendamos poner aire acondicionado en una de las habitaciones que no tiene, mejorar el aire de algunas habitaciones y estaría bien poner una barbacoa.

Reviewed Apr 13, 2026Nous avons adoré notre séjour à Las Galeras, cette maison était vraiment superbe, avec une tres belle vue dans un environnement plein de végétation. Il faudrait juste ajouter des bains de soleil a côté du bain a remou et des chaises sur la terrasse. Sinon c est parfait ! Légèrement loin du centre ville si pas de vehicule, mais ça se fait facilement en 25mn à pieds. Des commerces et restaurants à moins de 5mn.

Reviewed Apr 8, 2026I loved being out in nature, surrounded by lush greenery. The balcony is lovely and always has a cool breeze. The bungalow was cosy, and I had everything I needed. It’s a bit out of the way, so you’ll need a vehicle, whether a car or a scooter. But it’s a great base from which to explore the surrounding area.

Reviewed Mar 23, 2026Nos encantó todo. El lugar es precioso, tranquilo y muy bien cuidado. Las personas que se encargan del alojamiento son súper amables y siempre disponibles. De verdad, una experiencia perfecta, no tenemos nada negativo que decir.
Lo único a mencionar es que está un poco alejado del centro, pero se soluciona fácilmente con mototaxi o incluso caminando unos 15 minutos.

Las habitaciones no tienen puertas, no habia tv ni mesa o sillas en el interior, se escuchaba cada movimiento que hicieran los vecinos, que se hospedaban en la casa arriba nuestro.

Reviewed Dec 10, 2025Our bungalow on the hill had the perfect layout, ingeniously divided between sleeping area, kitchen and hot water bathroom. The open views towards the North and East were agreeable, many hummingbirds frequenting the lush garden. The Italian owner answered all our questions politely and his local caretaker Mervin gave us a hearty welcome, even permitting early check-in. Overall great value and highly recommended.

Reviewed Sep 2, 2025El personal muy atento y amable. El lugar muy bonito y muy limpio. La habitación muy cómoda. Puedes incluso cocinar en alguna de ellas. La pequeña piscina es fantástica. El hombre de mantenimiento que nos atendió en todo momento súper súper amable. A tres minutos hay una playa fantástica. Hay un montón de detalles de figuritas y adornos y obras de arte por todas partes.
Las ventanas tienen su mosquitera y sus tablitas de madera para que no entre mucha luz y sus cortinitas pero al no haber cristales hay ruido de gallinas gallos perros o música, los ventiladores y aires acondicionados también hacen su ruido. Pero Hay personas que estoy no les molestara . Mejor llevar tapones para oídos. Hay unos cincuenta metros con piedras en la calle, llevábamos coche de alquiler, pero dentro de un espacio inmenso de hierba para aparcar. Tened en cuenta que es al final de la carretera en el noreste de la península de Samaná y para visitar las terrenas tenéis dos horas y cuarto de viaje. Desde la capital de Samaná hasta las galeras en la carretera está llena de baches y badenes, hay que ir con mucho . cuidado. Habría que tener un secador de pelo.

Reviewed Mar 15, 2025Nice calm ambient. You get a lot if privacy and peace but at the same time you are very close to the town. The balcony was very nice. I loved the fact that it was an authentic local hotel. The host was also very nice and helpful.
I actually liked the fact that there was no wifi in the room, since I could really disconnect. But if you are here for work, please consider that. The swimming pool had no water so we could not use it. And for the bathroom there is no door but only a curtain.

Reviewed Feb 16, 2025The place is a set of several small houses scattered in a big area nicely organized with grass, paths, and small trees. Each house is a bit different, there are smaller and bigger ones. You rent one of such houses for an exclusive use. Our house was small but comfy, there was everything we needed, including hot water. Also two of the local dogs has accompanied us all the time, staying on our patio.
The location was quite far from the center and the beach, so it's a long walk or you need to use some transportation to get there. But apart from that the place was quiet and comfortable.

Nothing was not to like. If you can’t walk well, you may want to ask for a unit lower down the hill.

Reviewed Dec 29, 2024When we arrived, we had a warmly welcome with mervin. He is a very friendly guy. The room was big and clean. The mattresses were very comfortable. There was hot shower, a loot of hooks in the room an a lot of plugs. We had a really good fan, so it was not to hot to sleep. And there was also a refrigerator. It is close to the main road, so easy and quick to get to the restaurants, shops and beaches. Like other reviews said, the entrance road is not sealed but if you drive slowly, there is now problem to go there (even when it's raining.) The area is super nice with the cozy huts in a nice garden. We will come back when we are in the area again.

-There was constant cigarette smoke entering the place from the neighbors -It’s quite noisy, you hear the motos from the main road up until late at night. We didn’t rest well -It was a bit sad to see how the dogs living there are so so sweet but also scared of everyone, especially the person running the place, which makes you think about the way they treat them there…
