Loved the atmosphere and how lovely and helpful all the staff were.

The skylight in our room didnt not allow us to sleep past 5:30am becuase it points at sunrise (lovely idea but not for sensitive sleepers) and there is no alternative plan for this. Maybe a curtain of sorted would work but other than that. Loved the place will come again just I will book self catering side or glamping.

Loved the room views. Monkeys came and played around the trees. Comfortable in the room.

Just the struggle for Uber. You need to have a car to be able to travel around.

Effortless check in, help with my bags. The management has thought of everything you would need in the room and more - heaters and blankets for the cold, bubble bath for the bath, complementary snacks and drinks, books to read. The view from the room was spectacular - lovely and quiet. You can easily let go and relax in this space.

ArendsRus is in a beautiful location. The hospitality and facilities are perfect for a short or longer stay, when one wants to be spoilt but also enjoy nature and the peace and quiet. The staff were lovely as were the meals.

Warm welcome and pretty area

The lodge had a strong mould smell throughout, especially in the main bedroom and bathroom. Overnight, we experienced tight chests, itchy eyes and persistent coughing, and my wife had to take medication to relieve her symptoms. As we were travelling with our two young children, one of whom has asthma, we did not feel it was safe to stay. We requested either suitable alternative accommodation or a refund, but neither was provided, so we had to arrange and pay for accommodation elsewhere. See photo evidence of the mould. Very disappointing experience and poor handling of a serious issue.

EVERYTHING was amazing , it’s super peace a perfect get away for a couple , and amazing staff and so CLEAN!!! had a friendly baboon visit as well definitely will return

The manager was sweet and offered to help knowing our problem. She even packed dinner for us even though we didn't choose to stay there.

The resort was very far away and didn't serve our purpose. We didn't stay here, as we had a morning flight and they did not have an airport shuttle/tranfer.

The room we stayed in was my favourite of all.

A wonderful place, quiet and cozy. Perfect for those who appreciate peace and tranquility.

It's worth noting that part of the road leading there is unpaved. The sound insulation is not the best, so some noise from neighboring rooms may be noticeable. Meals can be ordered on-site. I wouldn't say the food is exceptional, but it's decent and perfectly acceptable.

We enjoyed every moment of our stay! The staff was kind and friendly. Our chalet was equipped with everything we needed and the view was an absolute bonus! Such a peaceful and calm setting. We will defnitely be back!

What a wonderful place to stay! Marieka, Charne and the rest of the team are just the warmest, friendliest, most genuine folks imaginable. The property itself is gorgeous and very well maintained. The little chalets are comfortable and have a view over the valley that is simply breathtaking. I stayed there twice on a recent visit to South Africa and I can't wait to stay there again.

I've travelled extensively, locally and abroad, and have to say: it will be hard to beat the genuine friendliness of the staff I dealt with at Arendsrus! Top notch, you all deserve a raise. The view from the luxury tent was exquisite and peaceful.

This property is located between the beautiful farmlands surrounding George. Breathtaking views, quiet and serene. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed.

Just note that to get to the property, you will need to drive along some dirt roads. But all in very good condition.

Would prefer a King or Queen bed instead of 2 twins pushed together.

Great place to stay if you are looking for peace and quiet. The drive is also not too far from the town, airport and the mall.

The cabins get a bit hot in the afternoon, but pleasant and cool in the evening.

Place was perfect, exactly what I needed as a solo traveler from Cape Town. Staff were the best, Marieka and Charne are really the sweetest people, I could ask anything and would only get kind responses. Facilities were excellent 👌🏾. Beautiful view😍

The staff were extremely helpful, the rooms.very clean and the bed very comfortable. There were various hiking trails to follow and the grounds were well kept. The on site restaurant food was lovely.

From One-Horse Town to Heavenly Hideaway: Arendse Rus Coming from a one-horse town (and the horse passed on years ago), I was craving peace, quiet, and a lot of beauty. The bubble bath was exactly what I needed to soak away the road and slip into the best night’s sleep I’ve had in ages. I ventured into town and promptly transformed into a wide-eyed tourist. I must’ve looked like a complete lunatic marveling at roadside landscaping and floral arrangements, I half expect to end up on someone’s Instagram story titled “Excited Stranger Discovers Shrubs.” Back at Arendse Rus, I went on a photo spree. The jasmine was in bloom, and I kid you not, I could smell it all night long, it was like nature’s own aromatherapy. If you're searching for a serene, nature-filled escape that’s close enough to town for a bit of adventure, but far enough to hear yourself think, Arendse Rus is the place. Tranquility, charm, and just the right touch of magic.

First time ever to to slept in a tent style room! Went for the luxury package, room was super spacious and clean. Amazing Experience. Everything was to be liked. Spectacular views,mini bar stacked with drinks and snacks with affordable prices. Even a small chapel for weddings.

J'ai dormis dans une tente de luxe, c'est un logement totalement atypique et pourtant avec tout le confort nécessaire, j'avais peur que ce soit trop chaud le jour et trop froid la nuit, il n'est rien , c'est vraiment une tente MAGNIFIQUE dans un bel environnement. Beau cadre, parc et possibilité de balades. Excellent petit-déjeûner en supplément. Très bon diner en supplément. Très bon accueil du service réception.

L 'agriculture intensive de certains voisins ( poules ) dans des immenses étables.

This superb country lodge is a oasis to unwind and enjoy the quite and peacefulness the place has to offer. In my opinion I rate it 5 Star!!! Even the swimming pool is heated.

I think the kitchenette needs a upgrade. The kettle mugs and plug for the kettle. The small table in the middle of the small space is unnecessary.
