Location, size and charming decor.
The bathroom was older and the water in the curbless shower did flood the floor. Charming but not practical.
The manor was very beautiful - both the architecture and decoration. It was elegant. The antique furniture and interior décor was tasteful. The bed was large, mattress comfortable, bed warm, we slept very well. There was enough storage room for clothes and other travel items, which made it easy to feel at home. The kitchen had all the necessary utensils required to cook meals. The bathroom was spacious, comfortable. The bedroom and bathroom were clean. The location is right in the center of the town, near the church, a walk away from the ferry, shops, and townhall. No vehicle or other transportation is required.
The floor might be a bit creaking - but that is to be expected for old buildings of this kind. In a way, it adds to the charm and atmosphere!
It was an absolutely beautiful location on a stunning Plaza. It wa
I could’ve used a pillow that wasn’t stuffed with feathers.
The peace and quiet
All good no complaints
Sofort wohlgefühlt
Preis etwas hoch
Gerst Spot in town and lovely old house with kitchen, living room for common use and large bedrooms. Would come back with friends and rent the whole place! Nice, warm and cozy even in December…
Personal muy amable, buenas condiciones higienicas, confortable, cocina equipada y excelente ubicación
Very nice place, quaint and decently furnished. The shared kitchen is well-equipped. The room we were assigned was cute and quiet. The bed was comfortable all things considered.
No tv in the room (somewhat of a problem on an island where nothing moves after 7pm) Shower design really questionable Creaky floors
Beautiful accommodation, very unique, comfortable, perfect location, extremely helpful and friendly.
We had the most wonderful experience! The host welcomed us like family, greeting us with flowers and chocolates that made us feel instantly at home. We came here to get married, and she went above and beyond to make everything truly special for us. The room was spacious and comfortable, the kitchen was large and well-equipped, and the beautiful garden added so much charm to our stay. Every detail was perfect — we couldn’t have asked for more. This place is a gem, and we’ll always remember it with love and gratitude!
We stayed in a double room with private bath in this historic property. Larger rooms have more space but we were okay since we were late with booking. The communal kitchen was well equipped and it was nice to have available along with a communal living & dining room. It would be great for groups but is also good for getting to know other guests. Host was excellent at communicating, answering our questions and providing detailed check-in instructions. We enjoyed getting to meet our host Harald and chatting with him on arrival. He was very helpful throughout our stay. We really enjoyed our stay!
The back stairs to second floor are quite steep
Clean, comfortable, great bed
Room on small side
Interesting historical features gave the property a unique character. Having a shared kitchen was useful. Being offered fresh herbs from the garden was a nice touch! Good location.
Finding the property and gaining access required a phone call.
The building itself is in a perfect location and is a wonderful manner house with use of kitchen, dining room, and reading room. Our room was the largest room we have had in Scandinavia. Good. The check-in was extremely easy and self service.
The listing should have mentioned that the bathroom, although private, is across a public hallway from the room itself. So if one wants to use the bathroom at any time, day or night, one has to go out of their room and across the hall to use the facility. I could write in the check-in was easy. I’m like everywhere else. Should I add that back so is the
Wonderful location and building. Fabulous room with great furniture and interesting art work. Met host who was very pleasant and friendly.
Nothing! Can’t understand the lower score for the Wi-Fi which was very good.
A perfect location near the Ferry landing.
Very large room and bathroom. Access to a common kitchen. Own entrance into the house.
Difficult to find places to eat on Sunday because it was off season.
The little white house is beautiful and cozy, with vintage furniture that exudes an artistic atmosphere. The town is very peaceful and quiet, and the house is located in the town center. The kitchen, coffee, and tea are available for free use. The host is very friendly and can provide detailed help and answers to any questions.
The check in was easy. The accommodation is extremely tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The house is well equipped. The host is excellent
The is nothing I didn’t like
Collette was easy and pleasant to communicate with, and very flexible in accommodating our needs.
Comfy Bed, spacious bedroom, beautifully decorated and full of history!
great location, comfy room 👌
It was such a beautiful inn and quaint as well. The location was perfect as were the amenities and room. Everything about it was perfect!
Collette was very helpful. Great location! Great accommodations!
The location was central for our needs. We felt comfortable it has a nice atmosphere. Our room was comfortable and cozy. Collette was a pleasure to talk with and so kindhearted and helpful.
Enjoyed the lovely atmosphere in the house and on the island
Beautiful place right in the heart of the city. Spacious and very tastefully decorated. Would always come back. I loved the common spaces and that there is a kitchen available too. Highly recommend. Collette was very helpful and responsive too.
The lovely seersucker bed sheets that had been dried out of doors and smelt of fresh Ærø air 😄 The toiletries in the bathroom, all Eco- friendly too.
Everything.
Nothing. Everything was great.
The location is very convenient. It is close to the main square of the town. Room no.2 was spacious and the view was great. The bathroom was in good condition too. Collette was very nice as she kept checking if everything was fine.
The stairs of the house would be a bit challenging for people who have a big or heavy piece of luggage

Lovely, historic room. Very comfortable bed. Appreciated the use of the kitchen for light breakfast. Great location. Kind host.
Excellent location - right in the centre of town. Very comfortable room. Shared kitchen meant breakfasts were easy and then the cafes and restaurants in town were great for other meals. Just remember to check opening times and last order times. In particular don't expect anything to be open on Sunday morning - certainly everything was shut on our last day when we had been hoping to get breakfast in town after checking out and waiting for the ferry. We had a fabulous stay on Ærø and enjoyed a cycle ride up to Soby (great guy at Andelen bike hire) and the free buses were great. We also took the Marstal ferry to Rudkøbing - some lovely places to explore. Also a great place to just sit in a cafe and chill. Ærøskøbing really is like a village out of time.
Fantastic property on the main square. Clean, tidy and well kept.
The host was super helpful and the location of the hotel was very central.
Nothing worth mentioning :)
Perfect location right in the heart of the beautiful Ærøskøbing. The owner Collette is very nice The room is equipped with all one needs: chest of drawers, comfortable bed, plenty of towels and toiletries.
The hardwood floor is a bit noisy, but that didn’t create any trouble to us. The other guests were very considerate and we slept beautifully
Atmospheric traditional manor house converted to hotel. Great location on the central square. Very quiet and relaxing. Nice little outdoor seating area in back. Big communal kitchen for use of guests.
No host or reception. No one to ask questions.
clean, close to everything, super comfy bed
Comfortable room in an authentic setting- perfect location - quality linnen and comfortable bed- artistic vibes (beautiful paintings and furniture)
Great location. Beautiful garden that is nice to enjoy a drink in the sunshine. Really unique old house. The kitchen has everything that you would need to cook.
The floorboards are a little creaky. If there were more people than just us staying we would likely hear people moving about all the time. But luckily it seemed to be just us. Note that it is not actually a b&b nor is it beachfront; not that it mattered to us but it seems to be a silly booking.com error.
It’s a lovely and well appointed manor.
This centrally located property - which occupies a deeply historical building - exceeded all of our expectations. An absolutely ideal base for an elopement/wedding. The interiors are exceedingly stylish + tasteful and photograph spectacularly well. Fantastic kitchen and Netflix/Sky cable available. Colette is a gentle, attentive and discreet host... again, ideal for a personal, intimate stay. Room 2 is stunning and strongly recommended.
Shared bathroom sounds ominous, yes. However, the property is so intimate and cozy that it's no imposition whatsoever. Please don't let it put you off this magnificent property. Room 1 has its own bathroom but it's a little bit of work: this is a period property and 'updating' the facilities would mean destroying everything that makes it special! Well worth a very minor inconvenience!
Everything
Everything was absolutely perfect, thank you ;-)
It has a home feel to it, very cozy and lovely, the bed was great, the bathroom very big and with lots of facilities, you have a shared kitchen with great options for tea or coffee, a fridge to keep your things, and dining table. The host was amazing, she was very kind to us and we were happy to share with her. It's located just 5min away from the ferry station, the town hall, nice restaurants, and a supermarket.
Maybe some little noise from the floor panels, but it's not bothering. The room was simply great.
Nice property. Great location. Parking available.
There was only one mirror near the toilet. Nowhere else in the room. Bathroom does not provide an efficient way to drain water so it remains wet for a long time
