De Hostee

Everything about this property is amazingly clean and comfortable, stylish yet rustic, relaxing and well designed. We spent the afternoon relaxing in the back yard admiring the flowers and listening to bird song, sipping a Radler. We slept well in the comfy bed, and in the morning we were greeted with the most outstanding breakfast that we’ve had (thus far!) in the Netherlands. Sylvia and her husband were both warm and welcoming, as well. An excellent stay, from start to finish.

Die absolut freundlichen und herzlichen Gastgeber, die extrem geschmackvolle und hochwertige Einrichtung mit schön angelegtem Garten mit Freisitz am Wasser und dazu noch ein genial leckeres und umfangreiches Frühstück mit frisch gebackenem Apfelkuchen.

Überhaupt gar nichts!!! Wir haben sogar überlegt, ob wir auf der Rückreise noch einen Tag anhängen können, um schnellstmöglich wieder bei De Hostee übernachten zu können. Ist aber leider schon ausgebucht.

Die Unterkunft war einfach perfekt mit unheimlich netten Gastgebern!

🏡 Coup de cœur en Hollande : un B&B comme on en rêve 🌷✨ Niché au cœur des canaux, on a découvert un petit bijou : un B&B à l’ambiance douce et raffinée, décoré avec goût, où chaque détail respire le charme et la sérénité. Mais ce qui rend l’endroit vraiment exceptionnel, c’est l’accueil de Willar et Sylvia. Deux hôtes adorables, attentionnés, qui vous ouvrent leur porte comme on ouvre les bras. On s’est sentis chez nous dès les premières minutes. 🌿 Et que dire du jardin… Un véritable havre de paix, entre fleurs, petits coins cosy et vue imprenable sur les canaux. Le genre d’endroit où l’on pourrait rester des heures à bouquiner, rêver, ou simplement savourer le silence. Un lieu rare, authentique, qu’on quitte à regret… mais qu’on n’oubliera pas.

The welcome from The hosts is second to none. The room and accommodation are beautifully done and spotless. Ample space in the room itself and huge downstair living area to relax in if you choose. It’s about the hosts and their attention to detail. First rate.

We stopped here as part of a multi city bike tour. Beautiful location that could not be more peaceful. Our hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful property where the owners have paid attention to every detail. Very charming living space. Excellent service from the friendly and helpful owners. Delicious and almost decadent breakfast. Easily the nicest B & B we have visited in Europe over the years. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The only negative is that we only booked one night!

Smart comfortable B& B with large, well-equipped kitchen/diner for guests’ use. Friendly, helpful hosts. Tasty varied breakfast which we didn’t manage to do justice to.

This property was an old farm house that has been renovated to an exceptionally high standard. It is very comfortable with plenty of room. Sylvia and her husband are very welcoming and attentive to your every need. Being able to use the kitchen facilities was great only eclipsed by the utterly delicious breakfast. The garage and charging facilities were also great for our bikes.

It is beautifully constructed with great attention to detail. Everything has been done with a lot of love and still it is also very practical. For example, in the room I was in is a beautiful large photo of three cows from this area, that takes up one whole wall. The area itself is like paradise with lots of greenery, cows, flowers and water. I slept incredibly well. It is very quiet. It is in an excellent location, with simple access to the city of Gouda. I took public transport to get there and walked the 15 mins from Stolwijk Dorp to the hotel. I had breakfast there and it was delicious, very large and had a lot of local food. The highlight was eating the Gouda Cheese from the local area. Willar and Sylvia are super friendly authentic people and were very helpful.
