B&B De Donk

Heerlijk rustige omgeving met een hartelijk ontvangst. Hier ga ik vast nog wel eens weer terug komen.

Tutto! La location è bellissima, immersa nella campagna olandese in cui si ha modo di vivere la vera Olanda, fuori dal classico contesto turistico. La struttura è bella, pulita e confortevole. La proprietaria, Suzanne è gentilissima e sempre disponibile. Gratuitamente si possono anche utilizzare le biciclette per passeggiare nelle campagne. Un posto in cui ritornare! È un posto perfetto sia per le coppie che per le famiglie con bambini, come nel nostro caso.

Een prachtige plek met vrij uitzicht over de weilanden met 2 paarden, veel ruimte er omheen en echt apart van het verblijf van de eigenaren, zowel schaduw als zonplekken om te zitten. We hadden gelukkig airco want we zaten er tijdens de hittegolf van half augustus. Het ontbijt werd elke dag gebracht op de vooraf afgesproken tijd en in de kist zat een luxe ontbijt, met zorg bereid door eigenaresse Suzan, zoals warme croissantjes, vers fruit, flesje jus de Orange en een glas met yoghurt en sap afgetopt met een stukje fruit, gevarieerd beleg en als we iets anders nodig hadden was dit geen probleem. Ook het bed was prima, heerlijk geslapen!

Kleiner dan verwacht, weinig privacy op het terrasje, weinig contact met de eigenaars (enkel bij aankomst, vertrek en het brengen van de ontbijtbox), niet zo comfortabel met kleine kinderen, bed staat in de leefruimte

Es war traumhaft schön!!! Wer vom Alltag abschalten möchte,der ist hier genau richtig!!! Es ist eine kleine ruhige Oase!!! Viel Natur und frische Luft, absolut perfekt!!! Mit dem Auto erreicht man schöne und interessante Orte problemlos. Die Umgebung lädt zum Spaziergang ein. Einfach die Seele baumeln lassen!!! Super nette, sympathische Gastgeber, sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend!!! Super Frühstück, bequemes Bett und saubere Wohnung,traumhafte ruhige Umgebung!!! Absolut weiter zu empfehlen!!! Wir werden sicher wiederkommen!!!

Endroit exceptionnel pour ceux qui cherchent à être en pleine campagne hollandaise avec de superbes chemins de promenade

La propietaria no se puso en contacto con nosotros y cuando llegamos nos metimos en el alojamiento donde no había nadie. Limpieza muy deficiente con polvo, manchas en techos, telarañas en lámparas y sillas de fuera, frigorífico y microondas sucio y apartamento lleno de mosquitos e insectos. Cocina sin fogones, aunque lo publicita en Booking, solo microondas pequeño, por tanto no puedes cocinar, solo calentar una taza. Menaje de cocina ridículo (dos tazas,dos platos y dos cubiertos). Colchonetas en las camas en lugar de colchones. Solo dos lamparitas de noche y una bombilla en la pared que dan muy poca luz al alojamiento. Ubicación en mitad de la nada y al lado de una granja con olor a estiércol. Opción decepcionante!!!! Alojamiento nada recomendable, busca otra opción.

Een héél mooie ligging, rustig, dicht bij fietsknooppunten. In de natuur, een fantastisch uitzicht. Mooie kamer en alles is voorzien. En natuurlijk het lekkere ontbijt. Zalig verblijf.

Location très agréable au milieu de la campagne hollandaise, cadre très agréable et calme, logement parfaitement tenu, vélos disponibles pour se promener aux alentours, véritable petit havre de paix !

Een prachtig uitzicht! We genoten het hele weekend van een heerlijk ontbijt met zorg bereid door de sympathieke gastvrouw, We kregen ook nog veel leuke tips voor uitstapjes. Het is de perfecte uitvalsbasis voor mooie, gevarieerde fietstochten. Heerlijke plek om te verblijven.

Unsere Zeit in der Ferienwohnung bei B&B De Donk in Brandwijk war rundum wunderbar und sehr erholsam. Die Wohnung ist wirklich schön eingerichtet, modern und funktional, und es war alles vorhanden, was man so braucht – von Kaffeekapseln bis zu Kochgeschirr. Das Bad ist sehr schick & verfügt sogar über 2 Waschbecken und eine große Rainshower. Die Lage ist sehr ländlich und mitten in der Natur, was wir sehr erholsam empfanden. Überall um uns herum gab es Tiere – Schafe, Ziegen, Kühe, Pferde und sogar Schwäne, Störche und Graureiher. Besonders schön war, dass die Pferde direkt auf einer Koppel vor unserer Terrasse standen. Man muss allerdings wissen, dass die Wohnung wirklich weit draußen liegt. Ohne Auto geht hier eigentlich nichts, und auch Einkaufsmöglichkeiten oder Restaurants sind nur mit dem Auto oder mit dem Fahrrad erreichbar. Toll war, dass wir uns Fahrräder ausleihen konnten (ohne Aufpreis) und sind damit sogar zu den berühmten 19 Windmühlen von Kinderdijk gefahren, was ein echtes Highlight war. Besonderer angenehm empfanden wir die Gastgeberin von De Donk. Sie war immer freundlich, hilfsbereit und jederzeit für Fragen offen, ohne dabei aufdringlich zu sein. Man hat sich einfach rundum wohlgefühlt. Das hinzugebuchte Frühstück war wirklich ein Traum: liebevoll angerichtet in einem kleinen, modernen Frühstückshäuschen, mit allem, was das Herz begehrt – von Käse, Wurst und frischem Obst bis hin zu Joghurt und frischen Säften. Man kann sich wirklich kein liebevolleres Frühstück vorstellen. Insgesamt also ein herrlicher Ort für Naturliebhaber, die gerne ein bisschen abgeschieden und mit vielen Tieren entspannen möchten. Wir kommen gerne wieder! 😊

Restaurants & Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind doch sehr weit entfernt. Umso schöner, dass die Küche so gut ausgestattet war & man sich gut selbst versorgen konnte!

The rural backyard ….

Susan is an excellent host, very welcoming! The location is in full nature which made our stay very peaceful and relaxing. The property is right along a bike path and with bikes provided it was a beautiful scenic ride to the Kinderdyk. We loved our stay.

it was quiet and relaxing. Got to experience nature firsthand. The room was clean and the service was second to none. The breakfast was phenomenal. We would go back there again.

It was all good!!

We had a wonderful 3 night stay on "the donk" with lovely views over the fields full of ducks, geese and swans. Even though we weren't that lucky with the weather all the days the area is really nice to take a walk along the small rivers, go cycling, visit Rotterdam or even drive to Biesbosch nature reserve and explore the area by bike. The breakfast was sooo good and with a lot of attention to detail. At night it is very quiet and in the morning the first thing you might hear are the chickens behind the house or some pigeons in the nearby trees. The room was very clean and the colors and furniture all had a certain special touch that we really liked.

Incredible views and very calm, the perfect place for an escape from city life. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. The property was close enough to all the places we wanted to visit, and really close to Kinderdijk.

Scenery, quietness, authenticity

Very modern facilities, comfortable, very well finished and decorated. Basic kitchen facilities. Easy cycling routes. Very quite and peaceful.

Bring food with you (cooked or microwaveable) as there is nothing in the near vicinity. Parking for 2cars but there are 2 rooms available.

Property is fine Mosquito screens in place which is essential however mosquitos do get in If you’re prone to being eaten alive by mosquitoes bring repellent!!!!!!! Found this a problem for myself as mosquitos really like me!!! Found the distance just bit too far to drive on a daily basis to visit family

The area is very nice and is a great spot to relax. It was very clean. Suzan was super nice and accommodating. She made us feel at home. She was approachable and very helpful for all our requests. I highly recommend this place

We can only confirm all the previous positive feedbacks. What an amazing place. We loved all there, the location, the surround, the room, the sunset, the canals where we had kayak, the roads in which we ride with the available bikes... Suzan and her husband are friendly hosts, De Donk is definitly in our heart!

Location - it was ideal for all the places we wanted to visit and so beautiful surrounded by the countryside and pretty villages. Really comfy bed and lovely host.

Nice location, surrounded by the fields, beautiful view. Friendly host, excellent breakfast. Comfortable room with a fridge, a microwave, a kettle and a coffee machine. Good choice if you want to spend a weekend far from the city in a quiet, peaceful place.

We had a lovely stay. very friendly host, amazing scenery, private cottage with a spacious bathroom. definitely try out the breakfast. It is exactly what you need to start the day fresh and strong. Highly recommended B&B!

Staying at De Donk was by far one of our best trips. Everything there was perfect, such as : *Clean rooms with amenities and high quality finish, plus a small kitchen *Open space for our kids to play *free bicycles and kayak for our use * Swimming in the lake *one of our best breakfasts that we had and better than most hotels *Very safe and relaxing area * Susan and Rob were very friendly and helpful host and have been keen to make sure that we enjoy our stay.

There was nothing that we didn’t like!
