Kiwi House Waiheke

Awesome, clean, well finished and appointed. Comfortable bed and pillows. It will be our go to for accommodation on Waiheke.

It was very clean and quiet and the other guests weren’t heard at all.

If you get a room with a shared bathroom (that was all that was left when I booked), just be aware that the bathroom is on the ground floor and the bedroom is on the first floor.

Awesome place to stay. My daughter and I came for a girls weekend - easy walk to Oneroa and bis stop. Really thoughtful accom, very comfy bed. Was lovely surprise that there were small fridges and basic kitchen (no cooking, but has microwave/toaster) so could enjoy breakfast together. Hosts were easy to deal with - and very accommodating when I needed to change dates. Highly recommend.

Carrying a suitcase up the small stair well is a challenge. Lamps in the bedroom would be super handy Netflix remote had had the batteries removed from it.

Our hostess was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, I locked us out of our room on Sunday morning. Ally rescued us with a kind smile. Kiwi House is tastefully decorated with an emphasis on comfort and soft colour. Our beds were comfortable with quality pillows.

We did have to wait occasionally for the bathroom. But it was sparkling clean and the hand towel and bath mat were replaced each day.

Thought it would be nice to have maybe some fruit, yoghurt, toast & cereals for breakfast, so people could help themselves.One couple there were waiting for breakfast as they thought it was a bed & breakfast.!

Neat amd tidy, look cozy yet still classy. Alis is friendly and helpful. very near little oneroa beach, which is lovely to visit.

it was my choice to have 2 single downstair, next to bathroom. the footstep from upstair was obvious in the night. There were also fairly loud music playing. Its bearable and did not spoilt the stay.

Lovely house, very nice kitchen and living room facilities, Ali was very helpful in giving me tips on what to visit in the area. The bed was very comfortable and the house is in a quiet environment with lots of birds singing in the surrounding gardens. Breakfast is not included but Akito Eatery serves a delicious granola and yogourt and is not far.

Somewhere to hang clothes, even if it were just a coat hook as well as hooks in the bathroom.

Wunderschönes Haus in ruhiger Lage, ortsnah (10 Minuten Fussmarsch vom Ortskern), sehr sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, Tee, Kaffee (es gab sogar Frischmilch!), tolles Ambiente, sehr nette Vermieterin.

Lediglich ein Herd zum Kochen fehlte uns, da wir keine Mikrowellenfans sind.

No oven or stove in the kitchen, so nothing for actually preparing a meal other than a microwave (& bbq)

It was so cute and CLEAN!! Our host Ali is delightful!!! 😇😍 the Kiwi House is hands down one of the best properties on the island!! Super close to everything!! Also so affordable for a 5 STAR ⭐️ EXPERIENCE! I stayed for 4 nights and had the room upstairs that had a gorgeous deck!bed was so comfortable and it was super clean!!

We loved Kiwi House, it is like a home away from home. Very clean and well provisioned, lovely views and plenty of areas to chill and relax. Easy walk to the main shopping and restaurant hub in Oneroa, and very close to various bus routes. We would definitely stay here again. Ali is so helpful, and goes above and beyond for her guests.

Room and bathroom are clean. The bed is comfy and the house view is superb.

Beautiful, Did not realize it was shared house. There are different rooms rented, but it was totally fine. We didn’t even see the other people and there were a few different areas for gathering.

One bathroom shared by many rooms. The upstairs rooms were all off a kitchenette, which was great until your neighbours decide to get up at 6am and make a lot of noise, and then return to kitchenette gone 11pm and make a lot of noise

Clean, great deck, tidy, really nice vibe. It was however very warm in the evening and you couldn't have any windows or doors open due to the mosquitos. Same in the bedrooms. A screen would have been great.

Windows were open so a lot of bugs in the room and no way to get air without avoiding the bugs

Ali is an absolutely wonderful host. Her recommendations for food and activities were spot on, and she went above and beyond by offering to drive me to my workshop across the island. Her kindness truly made me feel welcomed and at home.

We had a good time staying at Kiwi House. The place was very clean and the view was amazing, which made for a pleasant experience. It was a comfortable stay and we enjoyed our time there. ​

Nothing could be better

The accommodation was lovely and well cared for. You can tell the host takes great pride in maintaining and continually improving the property. Her warmth and attentiveness made us feel very welcome on the island.

The room is on the smaller side, but it was manageable for our stay. It is also not attached to a private bathroom, though this was expected based on the listing and did not come as a surprise. The only suggestion for improvement would be the addition of a continental breakfast, which I think would be a wonderful asset and enhance the overall experience.

The room was really pleasant with good views & good sized bathroom. There was a lovely deck attached. Downstairs was a good sized kitchen & sitting area. The TV actually worked properly. The whole place was very clean. I would like to stay there again.The

Good close location to Oneroa and little Oneroa. Plus bus stops at the start of the street so a 2 minute walk on the level grade. Welcoming, comfortable bed, clean, tidy good facilities. Good private deck.

Would be good to have mozy screens over windows. More towel rails in bathroom as only hook on back of door. Thats a bit picky but would make it better;)

Kiwi house is a beautiful spot in a great location on Waiheke for exploring. It was the best night sleep I had since arriving in New Zealand. The bed was so comfortable and everything was so peaceful. Ali is really accommodating and kind.

Clean and was exactly what was needed for my stay. However I did not spend much time at the venue, all I needed was a bed to sleep in! The Host was really nice so highly recommended and they have plenty of room options.

The room I had was two single beds, having the option within same room of putting them together would have been nice. But I knew this when booking and they do have options for double beds!

Great location! So central to beaches, shops and buses so you can explore the island to your heart’s content. Ali was an extremely friendly and accommodating host who made me feel so welcome at Kiwi House. My stay was made even better by the other guests staying during my visit who were always up for a chat and even a glass of wine. Wish I could have stayed longer!

Perfect location short walk from the village and bus stop really close by making it easy to get around the island. Ali the host was so helpful, friendly and accommodating. The accommodation was fabulous! The bed was so comfortable and everything was really clean and modern. Would absolutely book again!

The bright and airy tui room. The location. The calm. The layout. Complete shared kitchen and terrace.

Accueillies par Jade (le chien), maison très cozy et très propre. Avoir du thé et café à disposition est agréable . L'hôte nous a permis de laisser nos affaires pour la journée avant de reprendre le ferry. Les autres clients étaient très respectueux et essayaient de ne pas faire trop de bruit.

Un peu étonnées que ce soir une maison partagée avec d'autres clients, avec cuisine et salle de bain commune. La luminosité dans la chambre et le bruit de la maison qui craque avec les clients à l'étage.

The Kiwi House is a bright, modern and comfortable guesthouse, conveniently located to the beach, shops, and buses to and from the ferry. It has lovely decking areas where you can sit out as well as a nice dining area for eating in. It’s definitely a good place to stay on Waiheke Island.

I found it a bit strange that there were no staff or owners on hand. While I was only there overnight, I thought there would have been someone there to ensure guests were okay and there were no problems.

Location and outlook lovely. Never actually saw a staff member, check in key on counter but very quiet and had no issues.

There was no tv ( which is fine in good weather) There was mosquitos in the room and the plug in was empty. They could have had free biscuits with the coffee in your room.

Beautifully decorated, great location and a very calm vibe overall. Winner!

The upstairs twin would benefit from a few hooks or hangers to put wet clothing or special items - not a big deal though as there was a huge deck!
