La ubicación y vistas de mi habitación eran brutales. Todo súper cómodo y la propietaria un sol. Muy amable y atenta. Desayuno buenísimo.

Todo estaba tal no como esperábamos.

Just a wonderful experience at the guest house. The room was clean and comfortable beds, good AC. We were served chocolate cake after our ascent of Pico! Nice views from the terrace and a Short walk to a Hiking path and natural swimming pool.

Das Guesthaus liegt sehr schön am Hang mit einem herrlichen Blick auf das Meer und den Vulkan Pico. Das Frühstück war vielfältig und reichhaltig, das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Direkt vor dem Haus befindet sich unter einem Baum eine Bank mit Tisch, die zum Verweilen einlädt.

Limpeza, a suite era muito boa, o pequeno almoço em quantidade suficiente e muita frescura. O atendimento foi top, por parte das senhoras.

A localização e boa, mas sem viatura própria nao e fácil sair da freguesia de s. Joao.

Heel mooi gelegen, schitterend zicht op de zee en Pico. Heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Verzorgd ontbijt.

De accommodatie kan een opfrisbeurt gebruiken. Niet alles is proper.

Sehr abgelegen und der Komfort war nicht hoch. Frühstück sehr minimalistisch. Preis Leistung passt aus meiner Sicht nicht

Мы жили в Атлантическом люксе, в нем было все, что может понадобиться, даже небольшая кухня. Безупречная чистота, уборка проводилась ежедневно. Вид из окон просто фантастический, особенно ночью. Гестхауз предоставляет полноценные завтраки, сытости после которых хватит до обеда: вкусный хлеб из пекарни, локальные сыры, фрукты, йогурт. В 5-15 минутах езды на машине много кафе и ресторанов, которые работают довольно поздно. Недалеко город, из которого в океан уходят лодки для наблюдения за китами. Хелен рассказала всю информацию насчет пешеходных маршрутов, экскурсий на винодельни, лучших ресторанов и кафе. У гестхауза есть своя парковка.

Все отлично, с радостью вернулись бы снова и на сам остров, и в этот фантастический гестхауз.

Accueil formidable. La maison est bien située pour visiter Lille. Le petit déjeuner est excellent. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour.

De ontvangst was zeer goed. De host geeft veel tips over de omgeving. Je kan veel vragen. Het ontbijt is prima.

Wij hadden voor een week geboekt en dan mis je eigenlijk wel een kast. Persoonlijk vind k douchen in bad niet prettig wanneer alles kletsnat wordt. Dit is klagen omdat gevraagd wordt wat we misten maar het heeft geen moment het verblijf tekort gedaan.

Ihanan viihtyisä paikka luonnon keskellä ja pikkukylässä, mutta tarpeeksi lähellä nähtävyyksiä ja lähintä kylää josta löytyi ravintoloita. Ystävällinen palvelu ja hyvät vinkit matkailijoille. Hyvät näkymät, ihanat tilat istua ulkona.

Amazing views of the ocean. Friendly staff (Helen) who answered all of our questions and even helped us create a plan of the spots to visit on the island. The property itself is great, the hot tub worked great and was one of the reasons we made this booking. Breakfast was also excellent. For days we had to get up early, Helen made sure we had breakfast prepared ahead of time so we could eat it in the morning whenever we needed to.

We had a wonderful stay. Helena the host is super kind and gave us great tips and recommendations for hikes, places to visit and restaurants. The House is beautiful, and super confortable and clean. The location is fantastic and the views are amazing! The bed was fantastic too, we had the best sleep. The place is so peaceful. And waking up with the view to the ocean is a dream. The breakfast was also great, fantastic ingredients and variety. Thank you Mariana for preparing It every morning ❤️

In the description of the place It says there is a common kitchen, but this one used to be outside of the House and is no longer available. The kitchen in the House is private. Nonetheless, since we had some stuff to prepare, Helena was super kind and gave us access to the kitchen so we could use It.

Fabulous location on the southern side of Pico island to go exploring. Helen was so welcoming and gave us some great information of things to do for our visit to Pico. Beds were comfortable and room was clean and quiet. Good selection at breakfast.

Location was great if you want a quiet time. Town of Sao Joao is a traditional Portuguese village. There is a grocery store and small cafe at bottom of hill about a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive away. There are a number of restaurant options available in nearby towns 10 to 20 minutes drive away. View from room was amazing overlooking village and ocean. Premises was clean with separate room to entertain or watch TV. Large bathroom with Jetted Tub was in our unit. Nice patio's outside but weather was too poor for us to enjoy them.

Host does not reside at location. She did have a pleasant staff person (Marianna) come to location each morning to serve breakfast. Internet was a little bit spotty. If you go during winter like we did heater in bedroom did not get hot enough.

Great view and location. Super nice hosts. Individual and delicious breakfast, including a birthday surprise. Great location for exploring the island, but you need a car.

The bathroom is a little dated, but still functional. The thermal insulation could be better.

Das Frühstück war mit sehr viel Liebe zubereitet. Helen hat uns sogar selbstgebackenen Kuchen ins Zimmer gestellt. Sie war sehr bemüht, dass für uns alles perfekt passt. Wegen des starken Regens durften wir beim Auschecken eine Stunde länger im Zimmer bleiben – das war wirklich toll! So hatten wir genügend Zeit, uns in Ruhe ein Schlechtwetter-Programm zusammenzustellen.

Die Zimmer sind sehr liebevoll und modern eingerichtet und bieten jeglichen Komfort. Das Frühstück mit Aussicht auf das Meer ist sehr liebevoll zubereitet und die beiden Gastgeberinnen extrem herzlich mit kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten (z.B. ein Kuchen auf dem Zimmer am Tag der Besteigung des Picos)! Wir entschieden uns spontan unseren Aufenthalt aufgrund der guten Vibes und des liebevollen Ambientes um weitere zwei Nächte zu verlängern, was kein Problem war.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Schön eingerichtetes Zimmer, alles sauber und ordentlich. Sehr sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Gastgeberinnen, die ein tolles Früshtück vorbereitet haben und auf alle Wünsche eingegangen sind.

C'est un endroit magnifique, si vous êtes sur Pico, c'est Top !

Très bonne communication avec nos hôtes qui sont adorables : très accueillantes et sympathiques. Emplacement incroyable sur un mirador, vue sur l’océan, le village en dessous et la montagne Pico. C’est magnifique, tout autant que la maison et son jardin très soigné. Il y a un parking gratuit réservé aux locataires de chaque chambres juste en face de la maison. La chambre est très spacieuse, très soignée aussi (super jolie!). Lit immense et baignoire dans la salle de bain que nous avons adorée après une journée rando passé sous la pluie. Le petit déjeuné proposé est top : sucré et salé disponible et boissons chaudes avec de nombreux produits locaux. On a trop bien mangé.

Le seul petit bémol de l’établissement que les hôtes ne peuvent pas maitriser est leur voisinage bruyant. Enfant qui crie et beaucoup de chiens qui aboient. Mais sinon ce logement est incroyable, je le recommande mille fois. Nous n’avions pas envie de partir 😊

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist wirklich grandios. Sowohl zur Besteigung des Pico als auch für Whale Watching ab Lajes perfekt gelegen. Außerdem gab es fußläufig eine wunderschöne Badestelle. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet und das Frühstück lecker mit regionalen Spezialitäten wie Käse von den Azoren. Wir haben zudem tolle Tipps und Empfehlungen für Restaurants und Aktivitäten bekommen.

Ne pas tenir compte de mon avis précédent, il y a eu erreur sur la location, cela en concernait une autre... L'accueil très personnel, l'emplacement avec très belle vue, et un petit déjeuner fabuleux rien qu'avec des produits frais et maison. Une ancienne guide de l'ile nous a meêe confectionné une carte avec tous les endroits à voir en peu de temps sur l'île.

Adorei tudo neste alojamento! O quarto era excelente: muito confortável, com ar condicionado e decorado com muito bom gosto. O pequeno-almoço foi ótimo, com produtos locais e servido no exterior com direito a vista para o mar! O espaço é lindo! A Helena e a Vera, as anfitriãs, foram extremamente simpáticas e atenciosas. Agradeço em particular à Helena pelas sugestões de sítios a visitar. Recomendo e espero voltar!!

Beautiful views and property and great location, easily accessible to the interior of the island, Lajes, and not too far a drive from the airport and Madalena. Wonderful breakfast and super friendly helpful staff who were very communicative. Vera gave me great recommendations for where to go and visit for the short time I was in Pico. I was very fortunate to be able to stay here for a few days, would highly recommend.

The shower/ bath combo was stressful as there was no curtain or door and we kept getting water everywhere! The pressure and temperature was great though. Definitely need a car to get there/ get around. Otherwise you’re relying on taxi’s or hitchhiking

The location as well as the hospitality and service were more than awesome. Helen really tries to make you feel as comfortable as possible with all her heart. We had problems with our rental car, since we had to give it back one day before we left. She managed to clear everything with the car rental company. Additionally we had breakfast prepared for us early in the morning at 5:30, before we went up to Pico Mountain. And after returning, found a piece of chocolate cake for both of us in our room. We had our laundry made. And great talks with other travellers during breakfast. The little terrace in front of the house with a great view, the lovely outdoor kitchen - everything was really nice. We definitely can recommend this place and would come back ourselves. Thank you!

The only thing to critizice would be the kind of old interior (which is also personal perferance) and that you could not really close the bathroom safely. But since we travelled as a couple that didn´t really bother us at all.

The hosts were kind and caring. The room was tidy and spacious and made it easy to relax. The outdoor spaces were really nice and we made use of them every night. Also, the breakfast was great. We will definitely come back here if we visit Pico again!

De klantgerichtheid was echt top. Ze zijn hier super behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Elke ochtend krijg je een heerlijk ontbijt. De kamers zijn heel schoon!

Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft in toller Lage mit einem wunderbaren Blick über den Atlantik. Die Gastgeberinnen sind sehr nett und haben jeden Morgen ein wirklich tolles Frühstück vorbereitet. Wir können diese Unterkunft auf Pico sehr empfehlen.

The stay was simply wonderful. We received a warm welcome and were given informative information about the island (including a map). The highlight was definitely the balanced breakfast with a sea view. With a bit of luck you can even spot sperm whales ;).

Vera und Helen waren sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit 👍die Zimmer waren sehr geräumig und sauber. Das Frühstück war gut, reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich. Die Lage zum Erkunden der Insel war top. Vom Grundstück aus hatte man einen tollen Meerblick.

Leider gab es in der Nachbarschaft ein paar Hunde, die überwiegend in den Morgenstunden und tagsüber bellten. Sonst gab es nichts zu bemängeln.

Un petit coin de paradis, et Vera était fantastique pour nous conseiller en français, avec disponible et gentillesse. Je recommande ce séjour à 5/5.

Central location, lovely host/s, great prepared breakfast with homemade preserves. They have an outdoor kitchen with dishes, pots, cutlery/ we used this a few times for late meals or to prepare lunch for the day. The little view point with seats was used to enjoy a beverage at the end of the day. It has an amazing view…

Helena was so very inviting and personable. She went over and above what we were expecting. She treated us like family and we could not say enough good things about her and her hospitality. The views were outstanding and breathtaking.

Die Lage und die Aussicht der Unterkunft sind berauschend. Freier Blick aufs Meer, Wanderwege vor der Haustüre. Noch "berauschender" aber war der persönliche Service von Vira. Wir sind am ersten Abend sehr spät eingetroffen und wollten früh morgens zu einer Bergtour starten. In unserem Zimmer war alles parat, was man für ein Frühstück braucht. Einfach super! Und am Abend stand ein Stück Kuchen für uns parat. Und auch am nächsten Tag wurden wir nach Strich und Faden am Frühstückstisch verwöhnt. Zum Abschluss gab es dann noch ein paar gute Tipps für unsere Weiterreise. Wir haben uns sehr wohl und gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Sollten wir wieder einmal auf Pico sein, dann würden wir auf alle Fälle ins Miradouro da Papalava.

המקום מקסים ומטופח. במיקום נוח לטיול באי. המארחת שלנו היתה נהדרת. היתה זמינה כל היום ועזרה לנו מאד בכל שאלה שהיתה לנו. הקדימה את ארוחת הבוקר כדי שנספיק לאכול לפני יציאת המעבורת ובכלל ההמלצות שלה ליוו את כל הטיול. בזכותה היתה לנו חוויה מופלאה באי.

Tout était parfait, grande chambre confortable et très propre, joli extérieur vue mer . Hélène et Véra très sympathiques. Vera parle très bien français et nous a donné de supers conseils visites et resto. Petit déjeuner excellent et copieux. Merci pour tout.

Die Gastgeberin war sehr nett, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind optimal. Im Garten ist eine große Outdoorküche, die jeder nutzen kann.

Zum essen und einkaufen muss man in die nächste Ortschaft fahren.

Het ontbijt was voortreffelijk. We werden extreem goed behandeld en kregen iedere dag lekkere verse producten. In de ochtend kwam een van de dames regelmatig even praten en ze heeft ons veel goede adviezen gegeven. We hebben ons erg welkom gevoeld. Verder werd onze suite dagelijks opgefrist en konden we 24/7 met vragen terecht.

Licht in de badkamer

Vera hat uns sehr gut betreut (Frühstück,Empfehlungen etc). Einfach super.gute Lage um die Gegend zu erkunden.

Die Fenster waren leider so neblig,das man die Aussicht nicht genießen konnte. Kleiderschrank hat gefehlt,aber Kleiderständer war vorhanden.
