Judith was an amazing hostess. We were traveling as a large family group. We were made most welcome and the breakfast was fantastic.

64 Mandalea B&B is truly a special place to stay. From the moment we arrived, Judith made us feel incredibly welcome. Her warmth, genuine care and attention to detail are immediately apparent, and it is clear that hospitality is something she takes great pride in. My wife, son, friend and I stayed here for the first few nights of our trip to New Zealand, and we enjoyed the experience so much that we decided to return for another night before leaving the area. That alone speaks volumes about the quality of our stay. The property is beautifully maintained, both inside and out. Everything is exceptionally clean, tidy and thoughtfully presented, while the modern amenities provide all the comfort you could want. The beds and couches are particularly comfortable, making it an easy place to relax and feel at home. What really sets 64 Mandalea apart, however, is the level of care Judith puts into the entire experience. Nothing feels rushed or impersonal. There is a genuine sense that she wants her guests to enjoy their time there, and that warmth made our visit to New Zealand even more memorable. The breakfast was fresh, generous, beautifully and thoughtfully prepared. 64 Mandalea offers that increasingly rare combination of comfort, cleanliness and genuine hospitality. We are very grateful to Judith for making us feel so welcome and for adding such a positive and memorable experience to our trip. Judith is a fantastic host who keeps the place very tidy. I loved the plums and fresh eggs. We even used the kitchen to prepare and cook dinner which was fantastic. We would definitely stay again.

There was fabulous variety in breakfast and farm fresh eggs provided too. Everything was laid out ready for us ready when we got up. The hostess was very accommodating and when I required further nights that were unexpected, there was plenty of room and I could stay for as long as I needed.

Lovely host, exceptionally set up space with numerous living rooms and dining areas. We had a few people from my family stay and it was great to be able to be together but separate all at the same location, with shared living spaces to spend time together. Judith was very fast to let me know that we had left an item behind so that we could retrieve it before we left the area too. Would highly recommend!

We were looking for somewhere to stay at the last minute, Host was very kind about us checking in at 11.30 and place was warm, comfy and very clean and tastefully decorated - felt very homey. Great breakfast too.

Judith has a wonderful facility. The rooms are cozy and the common areas and grounds are immaculate. The breakfast kitchen provides a good variety of breakfast items including eggs which you can fry up however you like them. She also allows food prep in another kitchen which is great if you want to "eat in" some nights. She is an attentive host and also very knowledgeable about the area. We have stayed with her multiple times and will send our visiting friends and family to her as well.

Es handelt sich hier offenbar um eine ehemalige Reha-Klinik, in der Judith die Zimmer vermietet und auch selbst wohnt. Das Haus ist sehr groß, hat eine große Gemeinschaftsküche, in der morgens alles bereit steht, um sich sein Frühstück selbst zuzubereiten. Unser Zimmer war gut ausgestattet mit angeschlossenem kleinen Wohnzimmer. Das Haus liegt außerhalb, umgeben von Farmen. Wir fanden das gerade toll, auch wenn es nach Christchurch oder zum Strand ein Stück zu fahren war.

Leider war bei der Buchung für uns nicht offensichtlich, dass es sich hier um eine Unterkunft mit Gemeinschaftsbad handelt. Das war dann zwar gut händelbar, wäre aber nicht unsere erste Wahl gewesen.

We were looking for accommodation a little out of Christchurch and this was perfect in a quiet location and only 25mins to the city centre. Bed was very comfortable and room spotless. Breakfast choices were great. Judith made us feel welcome and explained all we needed to know for an enjoyable 2 night stay. Would certainly stay there again.

The place was very clean , comfortable. The room was very cosy with the heating system. For us the highlight was to have a morning gown (rob)in the room, it’s my morning staple and often time l can’t take mine with because of plane luggage limit. I was happy when l found one ….the first place ever to provide besides the hotels. Judy she has this motherly attitude, she looks well after all the guests . It’s a perfect place to go to when you want some peace and quiet. Great place to relax. We loved it!!! To sum up… the experience was very excellent!!!

A personal thing as I'm easily disturbed by light ..... My room was positioned so the light from the 'Exit' sign in the lounge brightened my room. Blackout curtains or blinds would help. Probably wouldn't affect most visitors

Lovely quiet location within easy reach of townships and amenities. It's a home away from home for me. The host ensures comfort and the range of breakfast foods is extensive, catering for every taste.

Lovely host so kind and helpful , the bedroom was lovely so clean sheets changed lovely breakfast loved the fresh farm eggs. The room was exactly like the pictures which was awesome.

Rural accommodation near Ohoka/Rangiora. A little off the beaten track, but suited my needs perfectly for a night in the area...Muscovy ducks, a cat visiting, and sheep in adjacent field. Lovely big garden to roam, although looks like it needs a bit of upkeep. The place used to be a rest home, and now converted to a BNB. Judith gives a warm welcome and the rundown of the place. Self-serve breakfast with a ton of cereal choices, fruit, compote, and ability to cook your own egg anyway you want. Kitchen access anytime. Only thing lacking was decaff coffee.

A lovely peaceful bed and breakfast out in the countryside but close to town. Judith was a very friendly and helpful hostess. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast generous (including catering for dietary needs). Could have happily stayed longer.!

Judith was a fabulous host - the room, bathroom and everything was spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and so nice speaking with other guests over breakfast. Best B & B we have ever stayed in. 10 minute drive into Rangioura

Large comfortable room, lovely continental breakfast in the morning. Although not an ensuite the bathroom was very close by.

Everything plus Judith went out of her way to make sure everything was okay for us, she was an exceptional host.

Not a thing, everything was wonderful. Judith made sure there was a seat in the shower and a non slip mat, it is these extra things that make a stay so very comfortable, especially as older couple and wife with issue with her legs, thank you so much.

A wonderful, peaceful oasis surrounded by park-like countryside. We loved everything about Judith’s B & B. Our room was very spacious with a very comfortable bed and 2 reclining armchairs. Breakfast was a help yourself affair with a large choice of cereals, yogurts, bread & spreads and eggs to cook the way you want, in a large guest kitchen which leads into the dining room and enormous guest lounge. Judith was lovely and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely stay again.

Pretty much everything. The hosting was above and beyond and with breakfast provided was exceptional value for money.

Everything was absolutely wonderful. The property was beautifully maintained and felt very welcoming from the moment I arrived. The room was comfortable and cozy, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. The hosts were incredibly kind and attentive, which made the stay even more special. I truly felt at home.

There was honestly nothing I didn’t like. Everything exceeded my expectations.
