The property is in the quiet area of Silay and the staffs are just amazing. Breakfast is very yummy and the nightly rates is very reasonable. Two thumbs up from us and we will be back!

Le due proprietarie si sono rivelate fin da subito gentilissime. La casa è molto bella ed anche il giardino è curato. La colazione è buona.

Se gli spazi comuni sono molto curati, lo stesso non si può dire della stanza in cui abbiamo soggiornato (A). La camera e il bagno avrebbero bisogno di essere rimodernati. Basterebbe iniziare eliminando gli oggetti malandati, come il porta carta igienica arrugginito o i mobili datati e rovinati, che rendono trasandato l'ambiente, anche se pulito. L'aria condizionata è molto rumorosa, potrebbe essere un problema per chi ha il sonno leggero. Sarebbe meglio poi che insieme alla chiave della stanza venisse fornita anche quella per il cancello d'ingresso, per rendere più autonomo l'ospite. Nella zona i prezzi sono un po' alti, non mi sembra però che in questa struttura ci sia un buon rapporto qualità-prezzo.

Highly recommended! This place instantly felt like home. Miss Lorna is incredibly kind and welcoming, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and unforgettable. She truly exceeded our expectations with her hospitality. The location is perfect, just a short distance from the airport and the heritage streets and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. We had an amazing experience and will definitely be coming back!

- Ceiling fan at room 2 is kind of noisy when turned ON, but it works well - Common living room / sala at the 2nd floor can get very humid. - It may get crowded if the rooms are fully occupied but the staff are efficient especially when serving breakfast.

Da wir zu sechst waren, hatten wir den ganzen oberen Stock für uns. Gutes, einfaches philippinisches Frühstück. Gute Lage, Trycicles bzw. die Busse an der Hauptstraße sind leicht zu erreichen. Bemühtes, freundliches Personal.

Close enough to the airport. I just needed a bed for a few hours for a scheduled quick meeting. Had 12 hours between my flight in and flight out. It fullfiled my needs. The staff were excellent. I hope I wasn't too much trouble.

Ate Lorna was able to host us properly and responded promptly to our needs. The place was near key spots in Silay and was very comfortable. The rooms were spacious and the breakfast was good. Must order chicken chorizo. The shared spaces were also nice.

A bit hard to find as the only mark available is a small sign just outside the gate.

Location is fantastic but aircon worked for 5 minutes and the fan was almost bearable

It's a nice bed and breakfast with very spacious rooms. Very good value for money because it's a big house that's well-maintained and there's a free breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The location is very convenient to the Silay Bacolod Airport. Good, Safe location.

Would have been nice if the air conditioner was running in the room before we got there. The weather was so stiflingly hot and humid outside and the room was very hot when we entered. I understand the need to save electricity and energy if the room is unoccupied but if you know that guests are coming, then the accomodation should be prepared accordingly. Otherwise, we like the place. We had questions about the history of the house and unfortunately, the housekeeper is unknowledgeable. No hot water the next day when we all needed to take a shower. I would have taken lukewarm but not super cold.

This homestay is conveniently located in Silay, next to a mall and near the road leading to the Bacolod-Silay airport. The communal room downstairs is good, and the one upstairs is even better. The aircon worked fine, it was excruciatingly hot outside.

The water pressure is limited for a shower. You'd better use the bucket, Malay-style.

The room is big and basic. The place is safe. The breakfast is minimum (eggs, bread, coffee). Not too far from the airport. Good for one or 2 nights.

The dresser had a lot of ants which quickly went up our things. We had to wipe them up. Also, the shower heater is defective.

Not a complaint, but my perception was that the room was huge as I saw huge table atc.. The huge table etc is in the common area which was fine.

Scheduling in changing the linens & towels in my room. But Lorna & Elsie is very obliging if ever I requested a towel.

Clean and orderly historical Hazienda style house with very nice and considerate staff. All around a very pleasant atmosphere. Also the bathroom was spacious and practical.

Just minor things like a road with a little traffic nearby but nothing bad and not too loud in total. Windows only to let light and air in in the room, so no view but pleasant.

Located in Silay, 2 towns away from the city. Surrounded by towering trees and lush greens. Great escape to the polluted air of Metro Manila. Love the old and vintage aesthetic of the house, high ceiling and spacious rooms.

Staff went out of their way to provide exceptionally good breakfasts, with freshly brewed coffee too. It was a pleasure to stay in such a beautiful old property. All staff were welcoming and attentive to our needs. Excellent communication with host. Plenty of peace and quiet to enjoy the place. Excellent WiFi.

The water pressure for the shower was weak, but staff did try their best to rectify this.

The house caretakers were very accommodating and friendly very much likely to help guide your way to Bacolod and recommend places to eat and buses to ride. We had a lovely stay at the suite after our National ladies retreat. We were comfortable and had a relaxing stay. They even let us store our luggage in a separate room after our checkout time, which was such a relief for us travelers!

The staff of Balay 8 served the BEST breakfast of the Philippines and took great care of us. This is a simple, but cozy inn with a personal touch. The AC was strong, the noise level low for the area. Walking distance from the Silay Plaza and mall, 10 min from the Bacoloc/Silay airport. Communal Kitchen can be used by guests.

We had flying ants in one of the rooms, but they disappeared.

Easy access to the mall and to our itinerary, also it is clean, the staffs are friendly and hospitable, breakfast is great, the ambiance is very homie and it can make you feel relax compared urban type hotels or motel.
