The kettle was brown inside. Welkom tap water isn't suitable for drinking. Get yourself a 5l of bottled water to boil if you will want coffee or tea in the rooms.

Reviewed Oct 22, 2025My co-worker and I asked for a vegan breakfast (pre-arranged). The hosts went out of their way to provide a very delicious breakfast and also put a jug of soy milk in the fridge in our room for coffee/tea. The garden is beautiful and the room was comfortable. We had an upstairs room, and the only thing that may put people off slightly are the stairs, as they are very narrow and steep.

Reviewed Sep 30, 2025Owners were extremely helpful and friendly. Attention to small details like the sherry in the room was a fantastic touch. This place is a gem - I had to sleep at a few places in Welkom before, but this one tops them all. Definitely my first choice for future travels to Welkom. Thanks a stack to Riaan and Henry - you are awesome hosts.

Reviewed Aug 22, 2025Proximity to strategic business areas. The staff and host were efficient, accesible and always going the extra mile to make sure that we were at ease and felt at home. The tranquility, cleanliness and environment was conducive in all aspects. We'll be coming again and again and again.
We wish that we stayed longer and enjoyed more amenities that we just found out were available to us. Kindly add extra channels for the DSTV and if possible additional bays for the parking space. Once again, thank you for your hospitality and professionalism

The sherry in the room was a nice touch, especially in the Welkom winter. Breakfast is also pleasant. It's definitely worth the stay, and even though we don't often go to Welkom, we will stay here again on our next trip.
