A true home away from home MnM Airbnb was quite simply a home from home when I needed one most. From the moment I arrived, Mike and Maree made me feel like one of the family. They genuinely couldn’t do enough to help, and their warmth, kindness and hospitality made my stay so much more than just a place to sleep. I’m going to particularly miss my morning breakfast conversations with Mike ,they became a real highlight of my stay. And speaking of breakfast… Maree’s homemade muesli deserves a review all of its own! It is seriously addictive. In fact, it’s probably worth booking MnM again purely for the muesli! If you’re looking for somewhere comfortable, welcoming and filled with genuine Kiwi hospitality, look no further. I couldn’t recommend Mike and Maree’s place highly enough. Thank you both for making me feel so at home. I’ll definitely be back!

Ein wunderschönes und grosszügiges B&B in perkekter Lage und sehr liebenswerten Gastgebern. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt, wie zu Hause.

Wir haben zu unserer Überraschung auch ein tolles Frühstück bekommen. Aber von vorn, die Anreise war etwas kompliziert aber sehr gut beschrieben. Als Belohnung erwartete uns eine tolle Aussicht über Napier und ein toller Wein im Kühlschrank. Hier würden wir immer wieder Station machen. We really noticed just how kind , interested and friendly our hosts were. Even though our accommodation was part of their house we felt like we were just friends staying , not paid guests! Mike and Marie struck the perfect balance ; showing interest in our daily adventures, offering advice and knowledge of the area but also offering privacy. The room was large with quality inclusions that had been well thought out and the view from room was just spectacular with an outside balcony as well. The continental breakfast was filling and offered variety, with the breakfast table positioned to soak up the amazing view . It was an easy and close walk into the town centre.

Nothing , but I did find it hard to remember to take my bath towel off the outside decorative rack into the bathroom when showering !

Fantastic location, gorgeous room and a balcony with a view. Bed was super comfy and the hosts were wonderful. Although it is on a hill (if you want the view you need the hill!) and walking up was interesting, but the hosts were wonderful and offered to pick us up in the evening so we didn’t have to walk at all.

We hebben enorm genoten van ons verblijf dankzij de zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame gastheer Mike en gastvrouw Maree. Vanaf het eerste moment voelden we ons welkom. Ze stonden altijd klaar om mee te denken en zorgden ervoor dat het ons aan niets ontbrak. De accommodatie was tiptop in orde en de persoonlijke aandacht maakte ons verblijf extra bijzonder. Hun oprechte gastvrijheid en warmte creëerden een huiselijke sfeer waarin we volledig konden ontspannen.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich von Mike, Maree und Dougal empfangen und haben viele schöne Empfehlungen für Restaurants und Unternehmungen erhalten. Das individuell zubereitete Frühstück war großartig, insbesondere der hausgemachte Joghurt war ausgezeichnet. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit (schade, dass die All Blacks das Spiel, welches wir am Morgen teilweise gemeinsam geschaut haben, nicht gewinnen konnten).

Breakfast was great, and most interesting because Mike and Maree sat with us during the meal. They were extremely pleasant and explained in detail the history of Napier followed by suggestions of things to visit. Mike was kind enough to find a wonderful restaurant for us and Maree drove us to and from that restaurant. Our stay was totally enjoyable.

Room was large, clean and very comfortable, with great views of the sea. Good location, very close to town, although a little hilly so drove in rather than walked. Margot is an amazing host, was very welcoming and really looked after us. Lots of breakfast options and the complimentary bottle of wine is a very nice touch and was much appreciated. Napier is an amazing art deco town and a great place to stay for 2-3 nights.

It was a wonderful room with excellent facilities. We also had a wonderful breakfast. My wife is celiac and they catered well for her!

Our stay was wonderful at Mike and Maree's. Mike and Maree were away during our stay however Margot was an excellent host. The place is only a few minutes drive from the centre of town, is quiet, peaceful, comfortable, and has a great view and a great breakfast. If you want a place that feel's like a home away from home, this is for you.

Mike and Maree are friendly welcoming and considerate hosts. They provide a large comfortable guest suite complete with balcony. Breakfast was delicious.

Mike and Maree (plus Dougal) were wonderful hosts! Our room was spacious and clean and very comfortable. Sitting on the balcony in the early evening was so relaxing and peaceful. Mike recommmended watching the the sunrise from our balcony was an absolute bonus. The location of the BnB was ideal for walking into the city centre. The continential breakfast was very inviting! If we are lucky enough to be in Napier again we would not hesistate staying at M&M's again. Thank you Mike and Maree for a memorable stay

From the cordial welcome at the airport through to the heartfelt send off at the bus station, and everything in between, Mike and Maree were the perfect hosts.Very highly recommended. (For those with mobility issues and no car, be aware that the walk to the property from town is quite steep)

Room was very spacious, tastefully furnished and felt homely. Loved the wonderful large windows and balcony with sea view. Nice and quiet.

It was very central but it was a very steep drive to walk back up.

Delicious breakfast, friendly and helpful hosts and we loved being able to use their two bikes. The suite is large and quiet with a balcony. Great location and It is only a short walk into town. The walk home is up a steep driveway which we didn’t mind but might not be easy for someone with mobility issues. We loved this bnb. Thanks Marie and Mike.

The property is a gem of a place. What a find. It was clean, everything was fresh at breakfast. We had all we needed for our stay. Mike and Maree were great to get on with and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend staying there to anyone. Plus there’s Dougal - what a star .

Mike and Maree were lovely hosts. The room was very comfortable; breakfast was delicious; their home is quite centrally located - we walked to the art deco festival comfortably, the hill on the way home helping work off all the food.

I had an exceptional stay in Napier, thanks to the quintessential Kiwi hospitality of Mike and Maree. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure my visit was perfect. The delicious breakfast set me up for long, busy days, and their kindness truly made my stay unforgettable. The convenience of transport to and from the airport was an added bonus. I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking for genuine warmth and comfort during their trip to Napier.

Everything was super from the beginning till the end. The Hosts are very nice, helpful and charming. We can only recommend this lovely home and the very nice people. If we should come again to Napier we would be glade to visit them again. Thanks a lot.

The way home. It is near the city but very steep.

wonderful accommodation ; beautiful view of ocean and sunrise from our bed. spacious. hosts are lovely people , informative and accommodating . place is a bit tricky to find but well worth the effort. Short walk to city center and great restaurants. Will stay here everytime we come to Napier or Hawkes Bay. book well in advance though - they stay busy. Can't say enough how we enjoyed it.

What a warm welcome from Mike and Maree. This is in a great location, short walk from the centre of town. Very exclusive feel as you are the only guests.

We loved the large comfortable bedroom/lounge, plenty of space to spread out and relax. The traditional decor gave the room enormous character and there were great views from the large windows. Each day's continental breakfast was a highlight with lots of choices and quality ingredients. We very much enjoyed talking each day over breakfast with Mike and Maree, giving us tips of places to go and aspects of NZ life. They certainly made us very welcome and extended their friendship to include us. The house is located in a lovely leafy neighborhood and close to the lovely city of Napier.

The road up to the property was steep, however, we soon got used to it.

Mike and Maree are great hosts. They provide a lovely breakfast and the room is extremely comfortable with a fabulous view. Worth waking early for the amazing sunrise.

The location is near the top of a steep drive which is not well lit at night. We decided to not risk driving it at night as we had a rental car. A 5 min walk down and a 10 min walk up. Not bad.

Mike and Maree are, as so many have said here, wonderful hosts. Mike, who works from home was there if we ever needed him. They rent out an upstairs bedroom - spacious enough for two people and serve a lovely continental breakfast. The house is on an incline but that provides a wonderful view of the sunrise - if you wake up for it. It's walkable (about 10 minutes) from Napier center and close to shops, restaurants and the waterfront.

Mike and Maree were great people. Breakfast was really good. Watching the sunrise from our bedroom balcony was stunning. Pick up from the airport was supplied, Advice to get about Napier was very helpful. Paying the bill was very easy. Will go back if we are in Napier again.

Wonderful accommodation! Breakfast was extremely thoughtful and delicious. The whole stay exceeded our expectations. Views from the room are incredible, especially if you catch the sunrise. Location is great, can walk to centre of town. Do note: the driveway is very steep and long (it is a shared driveway for multiple houses) so walking back up may be difficult for some. This was our best accommodation in New Zealand. Wish we could have stayed longer! Thanks Maree and Mike (and Dougal)!

Mike and Maree are magnificent hosts that will go above and beyond to accommodate their guests. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable & the breakfast superb! The view from the balcony is wonderful; we really enjoyed watching the sunrise from the bed. The wi-fi connection is strong and we even watched a couple of movies using Mike & Maree's streaming service subscription. We also loved Dougal, Mike & Maree's adorable, incredibly well-behaved dog. Lovely spacious upstairs room. Breakfasts were generous and included all sorts of cereal, pastries and a generous helping of fresh fruit. Tea & coffee available in the room, plus chilled water in the fridge. Very quiet location. Birdsong is a delight first thing. Fantastic views across Napier from the balcony. Hosts very hospitable, and knowledgeable about the area.

House is near the top of a steep hill, which makes for an Interesting climb back after a good meal! Good exercise, though!

Our hosts Mike & Maree were amazing. They were so friendly, welcoming & helpful. The accommodation was clean & rather amazing - art deco style & the bed was comfortable. The view from our room & at breakfast overlooked the ocean from the town centre all the way to Cape Kidnappers. They offered their bikes which was awesome to ride the coastal pathway & the town centre to view the architecture. We would highly recommend this property if you are staying in Napier.
