We rented a Deluxe Double Room with Balcony for one night. A beautiful, peaceful place with a view of Begnas Lake. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We also enjoyed the delicious dal bhat. We will definitely come back!

I stayed here for one night and fell in love this place! Dipa greeted me and I felt warmly welcomed. I initially booked the most basic room, but when I saw their best room, I decided to stay there for an extra fee. It's bright, spacious, cozy, comfortable, and has everything you need. There are mosquito nets on the windows and doors. The balcony has a wonderful view of the lake. Breakfast and dinner were delicious—homemade food prepared with love. Dinesh kept me company during dinner, and we chatted. They also invited a therapist Shanti to give me a massage - it was amazing! What a wonderful family and a wonderful place; I didn't want to leave! Thank you so much for your hospitality.
Dinesh has a Beautiful home and a very kind family. The home stead is immersed in nature with an incredible view of both rupa and begnas lakes. When the clouds clear the view of the Himalaya is wonderful. The room is also so comfortable and adorable. And the food cooked by the wife if Dinesh is so delicious!... We were very happy with our stay and hope to return in the future
Friendly, welcoming 🙏
I enjoyed my stay here very much: the views, my clean room, the delicious dahl bat, pancakes and vegetable curry! The owners were always there for me, they sat with me when I was having dinner and arranged my bus to Kathmandu. A lovely last stop in Nepal. I will miss this place.
Pan cake with honey is 🫶🏻. View was awsome. It is highly recommend.
Nothing.
The space nature and the tranquility

Beautiful location- lovely welcoming family and exceptional food! Would highly recommend
It's a beautiful place with a pleasant garden 🌿 If you have the chance, you can see the Himalayas during your breakfast or during the day. It's magic. The pancakes are very good 😊 Dinesh and his family are kind and welcoming !
Dinesh House is a complete escape from the world with the most amazing views and such friendly and welcoming host family... it was a pleasure to spend a week there...
The water isnt always hot so be prepared for a cold shower other than this its pretty damn perfect 😁
A peaceful family home nestled in nature on the hills above Begnas Lake. I had had a couple of days in Pokhara (Lakeside) and I found this place was a lovely antidote to the noise and busyness - sitting in the garden surrounded by birdsong and greenery! Dinesh and his whole family were kind and caring hosts, offering advice on little walks and cooking delicious food. One afternoon, Dinesh’s grandmother joined me in the garden to show me her family photo albums of past times and trips. I will look back on my time spent here fondly. I am planning to return.
Dinesh family was so welcoming. First I booked for 4 days and stayed almost a month. Also the view and location of the house is perfect.
Echte aanrader!
Dinesh, Dipa and family are the best! You won’t find a nicer, more relaxing place to stay in all of Nepal. The views are fantastic, the food is delicious and the nearby walks are sublime.
Comfy, chilled and friendly
Dinesh and his family are super hospitable and made me feel like part of them. The breakfast was delicious recommend the pancakes. If you get a chance also play some chess with his son he is really good👌
The breakfast wars every day savory. I enjoyed the house coffee and the dinner every day.
Even verderop splitst de weg.

House with an exceptional view. Dinesh & family are great hosts. Very clean and delicious food.
Is a very simple, yet cozy and very clean. Dinesh and his family really take care of everything. The place and the view are beautiful. The garden is also very well maintained and always well organized. Same as the room. It's perfect if you want to take a break from the city. The breakfast provided was a plus! Very delicious! thank you
We had an amazing time and Dinesh’s house. It truly feels like a paradise in nature - from amazing views, to the great hospitality and food. The family truly welcomed us with open arms and made sure that we have a comfortable stay. We can blindly recommend this stay to anyone out there. Thank you for everything and we hope to come back soon to this magical place ;)
The place looks like heaven. Dinesh and his family were really kind to me. A real good homestay.
If you are looking for a busy, action packed resort then look away however, if you are wanting a secluded home stay where you can fully relax, surround yourself with nature and be accepted into a lovely family home then this is the place for you. You can walk down to the lakeside restaurants or lie in the hammock overlooking the lake and the whole Annapurna mountain range. I have never had breakfast with a better view, it was truly amazing to see the whole mountain range at sunrise. The Dal Bhat was delicious and it was a pleasure to enjoy it with Dinesh and discuss how the home stay was founded.
It is hard to get to given the road construction at the bottom of Begnas tal. If you get the local bus from Pokhara, get off at the Begnas Tal bus stop, walk across the road construction (50 metres) and then get a taxi from the other side to the house. There is not a lot to do in the area, so bare that in mind when deciding how long you want to stay and relax for. I think 2 nights is perfect.
Everything was honestly perfect! The room was really comfy and sweet, we got a little hut to ourselves with well functioning WC and wifi, comfy bed, fan etc. The property has a beautiful peaceful garden where we spent a lot of time - gorgeous views of the lakes and huge mountains. And the host family were amazing! Super lovely, welcoming and helpful, their sweet cat is adorable and the dinners they made for us were delicious ! We had an amazing time, plus the surrounding location is incredible.
No problems at all :)
The place was in a peaceful location. Our bedroom was spacious and had nice furniture. We had some interesting chats with the other guests which made the experience.
Communication could have been a bit clearer with the hosts. We got offered a tea with our meal and then charged for it which we didn’t expect. Dinner is at a set time.
Dinesh and Dipa are the most kind people. The food and their own organic grown coffee. The view on a clear day.
Nice and quiet location, if you wish to stay in a local village with nature and hiking, then this is your place. Dinesh and his family will help you with everything. I would stay in the deluxe double room upstairs with a private bathroom, that is super nice and it also has softer beds than the budget room.
Just to let you know, you need to walk about 5-10 minutes with your luggage to get to the place, there is no road for cars. But is it a very good walkway. Unfortunately the mountains had a very thick cloud cover the whole time we were there, so we couldn't see them at all, but I'm sure the visit is more enjoyable of you see the mountains while enjoying your breakfast. The beds could be a bit softer in the budget twin room. Also the room is very small, there is no space for luggage. We changed to the deluxe room after one night and it was perfect.
The view of the Himalayan mountain was excellent. The host family were very helpful and hospitable. The nature and Bengas Lake were also beautiful.
None.
10/10 Homestay! Nestled in such a beautiful garden, the nature is honestly incredible (amazing view of the lake and mountains, colourful birds and butterflies, waking up everyday to the birds and insects singing). Place is a 5 min walk from a cute quaint village that has loads of goats, and a 1h walk through a forest trail to Begnas lake. The family are so kind, and Dipa she cooks the best banana pancakes and omelet for breakfast! As well as the Dal Bhat they serve for dinner (all fresh ingredients from their garden). I stayed in the mud house room which is simple but honestly so cute I loved it.
Loved everything
Spectacular view of the Himalayas over lake begnas. Dinesh and his family are very kind people. We loved their homely meals, coffee and lovely breakfast. Their cat Suri gave us good company 🐈 I wish we could stay there forever. It's such a beautiful place. We hope to come back again.
Dinesh and his family are so welcoming and friendly. The place is like a little paradise right on top of the hill with amazing views of the mountains and lake. 100% recommend!!
My stay at Dinesh was better than I could have wished for. Dinesh and Deepa are wonderful hosts that made me feel so welcome and their place is simple, but very peaceful. The food was exceptional: the breakfast delish and the Dal Bats were sincerely speaking the best I've had in two months in Nepal.
It's my 3rd time I stay for a longer period at Dinesh House. It feels like having a family. No resort or big hotel can replace the warmth and experience of living with the family. There are rooms for every budget. The dal bhat is one of the best you will have. As well as the pancakes. I recommend definitely the hike with Dinesh. But also the cooking class with Dipa. If you are looking for true Nepali experience then don't hesitate to stay there.
One of the top places we’ve stayed on our 5 month trip, even though it was only one night it left a wonderful impression for us. It is run by very kind and welcoming family, and perfect for after our Vipassana course. They cooked a delicious dinner and took us to a local festival event, teaching us customs. A peaceful hill in Nepal worth visiting if near Pokhara.
Nothing!
The best Dhalbat in Nepal!
Dinesh and his family were absolutely kind, warm-hearted people. They welcomed me in their family, and made me feel home.
The owners are very kind
Beautiful family run home. Get a chance to experience Nepali hospitality in this cute village. The room was outstandingly clean. Very kind family. Thank you for the hospitality.
WiFi good brekkie very good room clean and beds very comfortable and was given extra blanket toilet clean and hot showers lovely views of Lake from hilltop and lovely garden to relax in Denish, Dupa and granny very helpful

If you want to spend time in an exeptional location inmersed in nepali rural family lifestyle then be warmly welcomed here. I really enjoyed my stay with them. They also offer cooking cources, masages, trips and many more. Great location to go to rupa lake, begnas lake and to the nearby hills. I highly recommend this precious guest house!
Excellent relaxing stay and great hospitality.
A beautiful place with wonderful hosts. Food is also good.
A big thanks to Dinesh and Dipa that make this place really special, it's a real cocoon and it feels good to be there. The garden is so peaceful as well as the stunning view to the lake and mountains. I highly recommend to have diner at Dinesh House, the food is delicious and the vibe really nice
Dinesh and his family were so lovely and welcoming. The various options for activities were great and it’s apparent how much they care about the guests. The views of the annapurnas and Manaslu were spectacular, and on one evening provided the most magnificent sunset.
Nothing
The hosts were very friendly and the views were great! Food was amazing!!! We had breakfast and dinner.
Overall it was a great stay, but want to note this for others - Far walk to lake, but I still think this was the best place around the lake. It’s remote and in Nepal so nothing really fancy. The only thing that would be nice is if they updated the mattresses. I was only there 2 nights, so it didn’t bother me and again, it’s remote in Nepal. WiFi didn’t work well Incase anyone planned to work.
Absolutely stunning views quiet and peaceful great hospitality 😊
Everything was so lovely! The tranquil setting, light airy room and delicious home cooked meals. The bed was very comfortable and the wifi worked well. Beautiful view of the lake and relaxing walk to Majikuna. I did not want to leave!
Would be nice to be able to refill drinking water rather than using plastic bottles.
The Dinesh family was very kind and responded carefully to all our requests. The homemade honey and coffee for breakfast were really delicious. You can enjoy a different side of Nepal in the middle of nature.
I stayed at Dinesh House the night before the start of my Vipassana course at the Dhamma Pokhara Vipassana Center in Leknath. I can highly recommend Dinesh House as the perfect place to prepare for Vipassana since it is so quiet, beautiful, tranquil and serene :) It would also be a wonderful place to re-enter reality after a 10-day Vipassana, for the same reasons! It couldn't be closer to the Vipassana Center; I was able to walk there the next morning from Dinesh House, it was only about a 10-minute walk away! First things first: the views from Dinesh House are absolutely gorgeous!!! You can see Begnas Lake, and on a clear day the Annapurna Mountain Range as well! I couldn't have asked for more beautiful views. Onto the hosting family: Dinesh and his lovely wife, Dipa. They were both SO kind to me during my stay. On my walk to Dinesh House, there was a bit of rain, so he came out to walk me there and brought me an umbrella to keep me dry! I was really happy with my room, the bathroom, and especially the meals: Dipa cooked me a delicious dal bhat dinner the night I arrived, plus a tasty omelette with chapati & coffee the next morning. I highly recommend Dinesh House to travelers looking for beautiful views, tasty food, and friendly company on site — thanks so much Dinesh & Dipa for providing such a wonderful experience!
N/A — I had a great experience! The place was a bit hard to find, but Dinesh was very proactive sending me all the details I needed to find it :)
We had a lovely stay with Dinesh and his sweet family. The room was very clean and just beautiful made. You should definitely try the home made dhal bat as it is one of the best we had in Nepal. It’s a little paradise.
gorgeous property overlooking a lake with a view of the himalayas, Dinesh and his family were such lovely hosts and the food was exceptional. really easy to get to via public bus and great local restaurants and coffee to try in the nearby area.
My partner and I had an amazing two night stay in Dinesh’s homestay. The rooms were clean & comfortable with beautiful views and a lush garden. Dinesh made us feel very welcome. Dinesh, his wife ans his mother prepared us delicious food and coffee. We enjoyed every mimute of our peaceful and relaxing stay here. The place was only a twenty minute walk to the lake where there are plenty of bars, restaurants and swimming opportunities. I would recommend to anyone visiting Begnas Lake area.
Dinesh House is the perfect spot for a few days relaxation. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable, beautiful gardens for outdoor dining, with comfy chairs, swings and a hammock making a great place for quiet reading, bird watching or chatting with other guests. Start the day with a home grown delicious coffee, and enjoy Dipa’s tasty dal bhat tarkari for dinner, with many of the vegetables coming fresh from the garden. Dinesh joins guests for dinner, providing a great opportunity to learn about the local area, customs, environment and his family. It’s a short walk down to the lake where there are several other cafes offering a variety of lunch options. Dinesh also offers a range of guided tours in the local area, so there’s plenty to do if you want, or just to relax and enjoy the surroundings. And many guests (me included) are return visitors - surely the best recommendation.
Perfecte omgeving
The food was excellent, the delicious coffee was harvested and roasted on site. The views were beautiful, lots of butterflies and birds, rooms were very clean, all around a wonderful experience. The family running the home for over 20 years does a wonderful job of knowing when to engage, and when to give space. They're very intuitive and focused on making sure you have an authentic experience. My best stay in Nepal so far, easily.
There could be some more social spaces - we were there for a few days, one of which there was quite a bit of rain, and there wasn't a covered area to engage other guests. During sunny days, they do have tables outside with big beautiful trees that provide shade though 😉
The peaceful surroundings and the warmth of the family that runs it. I saw many beautiful birds (white-throated kingfisher), butterflies and a yellow throated marten. Nice place at walk distance to the hanging bridge and Majhikuna.
I call myself lucky to stay with Dinesh, Dipa and family, they are such nice, humble and very soft spoken people. They take good care of you, you won't be short of anything. They have a beautiful guesthouse with the best views over Begnas lake and mountainranges. I would definitely recommend staying there!!
The place is a gem in nature overlooking the Himalayas. It’s hidden and peaceful, not a lot going on around. Dipa makes you feel home with her smile and amazing food (pancakes, home grown coffee and honey, dinner at the fire…!). It’s great if you wanna take a break from the busy world!
Loved the laid back, easy going atmosphere that Dinesh and his family created. Lovely views of the lake and the mountains (when the clouds weren’t covering them). Delicious home cooked dal bhat in the evening whilst sat around the campfire, which really added to the experience. Really enjoyed the breakfast as well, and relaxing in the hammock. Will definitely stay again if I am in the area!
My room had some water dripping onto the floor due to condensation from the roof
I headed straight from Pokhara to Dinesh house and found exactly what I was looking for. Peace and quiet and lots of birds. The room I stayed in was airy and light with windows on 3 sides. The balconies were lovely with great views at different times of day. The surrounding area offered plenty of hikes. It was paradise after busy cities and I wish I could have stayed longer than the 12 days I was there.
Dinesh and his wife are great host. And the property is also very nice! Very close to the Vipassana center and close to the other good locations in Lekhnath
Dinesh and his family were friendly and helpful. The garden was beautiful and looked over the lake and mountains. The coffee was fresh from the garden and delicious!
Our room was very damp and mouldy :( The room was also a little dusty and dirty. It was very small with not much space to store things. Sometimes there was no hot water from the shower.
Absolutely unrivalled views, delicious breakfast, lovely gentle family. Had a wonderful time
Home away from home :) Dinesh and his family are lovely, hospitable and charming. The property is nicely located in a peaceful area with amazing views. And the food is top notch
Dinesh House is one of the best guest houses I have ever been to! I had and amazing and unforgettable stay ! It feels like home:) His wife Dipa and Dinesh himself are the most kindness people I have ever met. They treat you like family. Location of this house is so beautiful! Surrounded by nature and the view of mighty mountains! Best wake ups in the morning and best falling asleep at night to the sound of nature:) Couldn't choose better option to stay in Nepal🥰😇

I stayed one night at Dinesh House homestay, but I wish I had planned a longer stay! Such a nice family! Basic room but clean and cheap. The surroundings are really beautiful, with a stunning view of the Annapurna mountains. I loved the food at night, served with candlelights outside. Best of all was the Village Tour, where Dinesh took us around to visit small village houses and farms—places you would never be able to visit by yourself. Dinesh took really good care of me on the tour; I have an injured knee, and he made sure I managed the paths brilliantly. I highly recommend this special, authentic Village Tour experience and the homestay in general. I hope to come again!
Dinesh and his family were super welcoming! Their house is absolutely beautiful with spectacular views only a short walk down to the lake. Dippas cooking was amazing, the dal bat and morning pancakes were to die for!
Friendly family excellent location fabulous food
Nothing
The absolute peace of the place is hard to beat. Exceptional mountain views, delicious home prepared (and grown) traditional Nepalese meals. Delightful family. What a privilege to have had the opportunity to stay and rest her a while.
Room I booked was clean and big, full of light with stunning view over the mountains and Begnas lake. I liked two balconies with option to get meditation. The place in the heart of incredible nature around you wherever you can see. The place is serene and calm. You can be only you and nature disconnected from daily routine I really enjoyed that place. In addition as a big plus you can get incredible sunrise every morning. No words ! A lot of thanks Dinesh owner for delicious dinner Himalayan style. It was more yammy than I tasted in restaurants of Kathmandu and Pohkara. Dinesh’s family made my staying really unforgettable. If you looking for serene place with stunning view around I can strongly recommend this place Thank you Dinesh for everything I got throughout my visit your place
Well, no bad thing if you don’t expect to get 5stars service. It’s just a simple rural house
I always wanted to keep this place a secret. It is a hidden gem in the greater Pokhara area. Dinesh is a soft spoken kind man running this homestay with his family who make you feel very much at home. Dinesh wil serve breakfast and dinner to all guests together. He will join in the conversations and his knowledge adds an extra dimension to the talks. The food is authentic and tasty. The coffee (homegrown and roasted) is strong but excellent. The atmosphere is relaxed. Take your time and do not rush. Enjoy the lovely garden and the company of other guests and the family.
It is hard to say whether anything should be improved. I love the laid-back atmosphere. At the same time it must be said Dinesh takes is job seriously. He really cares for his customers. That's why I take any small inconveniences for granted.
Fantastic location with a stunning Mountain View over the lake.
Great Views , Calm and Peaceful place, Beautiful people around in the small village. Wonderful Nature walks around the house.
