That we couldn't not stay longer!

We had such a wonderful stay and couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. The property was absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and incredibly tranquil. Being surrounded by the countryside made it feel like a true escape, while still being conveniently close to town and everything we needed. We stayed with our three-year-old autistic son, and he absolutely loved it. The calm environment, open space, and quiet surroundings made our stay so much more enjoyable and relaxing. It can sometimes be difficult finding places that suit our family’s needs, but this was perfect. The accommodation itself was much bigger than we expected and offered plenty of space for our family to spread out and feel comfortable. It was exceptionally clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed for a memorable stay. The value for money was outstanding and it was well worth the price. Isabel and her family were fantastic hosts. Although they were close by and easy to communicate with whenever we needed anything, they also gave us plenty of privacy. It truly felt as though we had our own little slice of the countryside to ourselves. They were incredibly understanding with our children and went above and beyond to accommodate us when we unexpectedly needed to extend our stay by an extra night. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and appreciative of the kindness and hospitality shown to our family. Thank you, Isabel and family, for sharing such a special place with us. We would happily stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful countryside getaway with wonderful hosts.

It was a great 2 bedroom house,very homy, our host was extremely friendly and helpful, great breaky,would l stay there again, he'll yeh,far better than a motel room.

Heerlijk rustige plek op stukje afstand van New Plymouth en Mt. Taranaki. Plaatsje met supermarkt en tankstation op ong. 5 minuten met de auto. Accomodatie voorzien van alles wat we nodig hadden, incl. Wasmachine.

Verlichting in de kamer kan iets gezelliger.

Was private an quiet. The owners had some little personal touches the bread and butter for breakfast alongside some yoghurt full cream milk an cereal

Oh so quiet. Beautiful views over the pasture and the place was huge. Well stocked kitchen with a full size fridge and freezer. Great for making ice. TV was a smart TV so we could watch Netflix or Amazon. Furniture was very comfortable.

This little place was amazing. Best place i have stayed to be honest. Easy to find, lovely views and immaculately clean. I loved the homely feel with all the little extras they have thought of around the place in the lounge kitchen and bathroom,. They have gone to a lot of effort to make it welcoming and comfortable. They have thought of everything in detail. Great price too. Will definately be back . Hosts were lovely and helpful .

We loved the spaciousness, the countryness and the sound of the sheep talking in the paddocks next door. We were sheep farmers! Easy access from town and an easy trip to city for a posh restaurant. Great booking. I loved that thehost greeted us and carried my bag in. Thankyou Deon.

La ubicación, aunque tranquila, está algo alejada, pero eso también forma parte del encanto.

Every effort has been made here to make the stay enjoyable. We had a diabetic among us so didn't make use of the bread or spreads but appreciated the gesture. Modern TV that would connect to our phones, free wifi and the large table were all pluses.

Not the property's fault at all, but the detour to get up and round was a major and we wish we'd known about it in advance. Sorry, didn't enjoy the yapping dogs, or the squeaking bed each time someone rolled over.

The furniture could use some upgrading and shower pressure could be looked at. It was quite far out from the main town, we did have to travel a bit to go to a nice restaurant for dinner and detour wasn’t advised prior to our stay

I had a very pleasant stay at this accommodation. The location is convenient — not far from the city but in a quiet area — which made it easy to explore nearby attractions without dealing with busy traffic. All Was perfect

Welcomed by Isabel shortly after self check-in. Loved the lambs in the neighbouring paddock. Host provided some cereals, bread, milk, spreads, etc basics which was so helpful arriving with kids as it meant it was easy to get them some breakfast before heading into town for the day. Lovely self catering BnB and really great for a family, as it has a kitchen, bathroom, laundry room which is often essential when traveling with kids. We found it warm and cosy with great heating options in the main living areas (heat pump can heat the whole house) and bedrooms (wall panel heaters) and a heater in the bathroom as well.

Very handy location for planned activities, easy to access and had everything needed.

The view from the veranda over the adjacent farm at sunset was beautiful, and the host was very friendly. The unit was very clean and tidy, had everything you needed, including a full kitchen (even an air fryer!).

After a 7-hour drive from Whangarei, going straight to Te Matatini for an entire day of beautiful madness, we checked in to On Tate. What a beautiful, homely little place surrounded by peace 10 minutes out of New Plymouth. We were able to come back and shower and get 12 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Thank you to the host whom we didn't see but allowed us to enjoy their beautiful accommodation.

Large apartment with plenty of space in a rural environment. Quiet location 17 km to New Plymouth. Very well equippt kitchen, but the dishwasher is old and doesn't wash well. Washing machine but no dryer. Many flies but no flying grids at the windows....that is not comfortable. The pillows are to hard.

Water pressure in shower was very low otherwise great place.

Feedback we received from our artist who we booked here was excellent, she said it was lovely to wake up to the animals, brought back childhood memories, they absolutely loved it.

Was a nice little home that reminded me of my home. I loved the farm surrounding, made it feel you were away from the hustle and bustle. It was nice to see that the owners of the property were only a few steps away, but they kept to themselves and were really hospitable.

I liked everything about the property but probably would suggest a security door/ sliding door( security mesh) to leave opened during the summer nights.

Nice large space. Easy to access. Lock box so didn't need to interact with anyone. Rooms were decent size. Beds and pillows were sooo comfy. Was helpful that toilet, bathroom and shower were all in diff rooms so diff people could use at the same time. Provided basic staple food such as cereals, milk, butter, bread etc free of charge. Contact details clearly communicated for emergencies.

Mix communication about check out time. Booking.com app said 9 - 9.30 but at location the book said 9.30 (I think) and the board said 10. No or limited comms about the other part of the house which I assume is a seperate area for booking.

Wonderful, friendly hosts. Location was peaceful and quiet and a manageable drive to the main centre of New Plymouth. Pleasant, well kept yard and clean homely feel indoors. Some lovely complimentary items and everything that we needed for family life to be made easy on holiday - microwave, kettle, cooking facilities etc.

The shower pressure was really weak but there was a bath! Yay!

The host went far and beyond in providing for myself and my boys..spending New Years eve away..it is our Home away from Home...the house is clean, warm and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped which I am very grateful for..the addition of milk/bread/fruit and yoghurt as complimentary is just beyond my expectations and I am very grateful for.

I wish we could have stayed longer...overnight stay is not long enough..

Superb accommodation. Clean, massive, friendly owner. Great facilities too! Very very worth the money. Although a little out of New Plymouth, but it is very worth it. There is a strawberry farm near the hotel, so go pluck some strawberries if it’s in season!!

Lovely cozy cottage that was set up with all we needed and with plenty of room for our teenagers. Lovely breakfast provided and we felt very welcomed. Thank you for the lovely stay.

We were pleasantly surprised to find this gem. We only stayed one night for an event in New Plymouth but found the accommodation to be clean, comfortable, and more than we could have asked for. Great hospitality with some lovely extra touches, we will definitely be back.

Very generous provisions for breakfast. The place was so clean and comfortable. It was attached to the main dwelling but felt private. Lovely curtains and fittings. It was cosy on a cold evening. Netflix was available which was a treat. Attractive rural setting.

We found the check out a bit earlier than normal at 9am to 9.30am. It would have been nice to have stayed another hour.

So nice to have tastie breakfast with fresh fruit. Quiet location

Quiet area to stay. 5 minutes to Waitara township by car. Everywhere else is 30 mins to an hour. The BnB was comfortable and affordable. I had 2 whanau.members with disabilities. So it was somewhat functional to their needs.

Safety - Maybe look at putting a railing up on both sets of steps leading up to the house entrance and backyard. My 2 whanau members were anxious when coming down the steps. Unsafe to leisure walk from BnB as the road is like a mini thorough fare. Free wifi kept cutting out, a nuisance. Not suitable to all with disabilities. Heat pump wasn't working during our stay. That was disappointing as my whanau felt the cold. No tea towels or dish clothes supplied. Nuisance using the dishwasher for a few dishes. It's hard to wipe areas down with a sponge / scorer. Drip dry dishes it was.

I made a mistake with the dates and arrived a day earlier than expected and they accommodated us. The staff were very friendly and helpful
