Fabulous hosts, amazing breakfast
The area is very peaceful and quiet. The place is lovely and the owners very nice.
Excellent breakfast with organic local ingredients, interesting and comfortable accommadation, lovely hosts, will stay again.
All good, a genuine experience
Todo. La habitación súper espaciosa. La finca preciosa. Mucha tranquilidad.
Lokatie is prima. Goede parkeergelegenheid.
Everyone including the owners were so friendly and welcoming. The hotel was beautiful full of character and so clean. The breakfast was exceptional and of a very high standard. Would definitely recommend.
There was nothing we didn't like about our stay.
The location is lovely and we were made to feel very welcome. Excellent breakfast
A delicious beautifully presented breakfast, a lovely old 18 century building. Beautiful area. Would highly recommend. Very welcoming hosts.
Sehr freundliche Gastgeber.
Lovely welcoming guest house. Beautiful old house. Friendly staff. Location very good. I would return
No issues at all.
Sleepy hollow..best night sleep such a beautiful relaxed location.. lovely staff and gorgeous breakfast..old style which is what we love and blends in so well with the beautiful surroundings
Really pleased, every little detail was thought through, we even had fresh roses in our room. The full Irish breakfast was incredible everything was freshly cooked. Highly recommend staying here.

We loved our stay there. It is truely idyllic!
Kilmahon House was an amazing place to stay. The house is beautiful and Julia (the host) is so kind and made our stay wonderful. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast delicious. I can recommend this place to everyone.
Remarkable 18th Century property set in lovely grounds near the sea
The best food I had in Ireland. Stunning location and fantastic service from the owners and staff.
The weather was quite rainy, which facilitated staying a while longer in the house with the lovely staff.
Quaint
The owners were really lovely. very friendly. we had super breakfasts. there is building going on in the grounds but the owners make sure your stsy isnt affected and we were interested to see the building works and share the excitement. our main reason for our stay was to visit Ballymaloe house and gardens and this accommodation is very near there.
Comfortable, sunny bedroom and well-appointed bathroom, with large, warm drawing room available to guests for evening reading. Excellent breakfasts. Hosts are welcoming and helpful about exploring the area and nearby restaurants. It was interesting to learn about their projects to develop this historic property.
The house was decorated with many antiques and showed off excellent taste in European artifacts. The room was very spacious with a large bathroom. Breakfast gave us selections and was excellent. Owners could not have been more charming and helpful. Admire this location ambitions and future.
Our room was up 3 flights of stairs. It had great views of the gardens, but luggage is annoying to carry up and down that many stairs - I am old.
Ontbijt uitstekend Heel vriendelijke en behulpzame gastvrouw en man
Sehr feines Frühstück
Beautiful room, very comfortable bed and excellent breakfast.

Was spacious
We were very disappointed with our stay. Despite requesting a ground-floor room for our partially disabled friend, we were not informed that all social spaces were on the second floor, making access nearly impossible for her. Therefore, we had to cut our stay short from 6 to 2 days. Booking.com agreed to adjust our reservation, yet the owners unilaterally increased our daily rate to almost double the amount as a “cancellation fee.” Additionally, one owner made an inappropriate comment about our nationality when we arrived late for breakfast due to jet lag, which was deeply hurtful despite the subsequent apology. Not recommended for guests with accessibility needs.
Amazing and beautiful. Fabulous house, hosts, and breakfast. Second to none.
Lovely stay. Breakfast was delicious, and everything was homemade down to the butter and jams, fresh OJ, too. We enjoyed the little cake bites and cookies offered with the tea station. Mike was very attentive and knowledgeable, and suggested The Salty Dog in Ballycotton for dinner... it was amazingl! Highly recommend it. The home is renovated and has been filled with antiques, which made it feel like stepping back in time with a few modern conveniences. Lovely walled in rose garden to have tea. Beautiful grounds. Wish we could've stayed longer than one night.
Everything was great, but if you are taller than 5'8", the twin beds with footboard may not work for you. The breakfast room was a bit cramped with all guests eating at once. I would've preferred to pay upon arrival instead of departure, which required Mike to abandon his breakfast service duties and take me to the office where he accepts payments.
Excellent Breakfast Friendly staff and Hosts

Great location with friendly staff and wonderful breakfast
It was very charming, Julia and Mike were very welcoming and obliging. The breakfast were very good & the complimentary homemade cake with the tea and coffee was a lovely touch. Location was great, close to Ballymaloe, pottery shop and great for touring the several beaches in Ballycotton Bay.
We had no complaints
Julia and Mike were very welcoming and kind hosts. The big mahogany sleigh bed in our room was so comfortable! Baked eggs for breakfast- highly recommended!! Very unique b&b. It's obvious how it's lovingly being brought back to life.
Stunning
The character and ambience of Kilmanhon are exceptional. The furnishings are very well chosen and complement each room. The owners are very attentive to their guests and they are very passionate about organic food.
The house was charming as we're the hosts Julia and Michael. Breakfast in the dining room was a highlight and the surrounding gardens and local area were beautiful. The bedroom was very comfortable and there was a beautiful lounge for guests.a thoroughly enjoyable time at Kilmahon House!
there wasn't anything we didn't like about our stay.
My favourite bit about the property was the food! The breakfast was a work of art. I loved the home made Kombucha, sourdough, eggs laid at the property etc etc
Nothing all good
Honestly one of the heartiest breakfasts we have had anywhere. The welcome was warm and the hosts were generous. Perfect spot for us as we dined in nearby Ballymaloe, and across the laneway from Stephen Pearce (spl?) pottery. The mist was in but otherwise we would have taken the short stroll to the ocean nearby. The sea air is great there and the location is very quiet so the stay was peaceful.
The house dates from the 1700s and shows its age, but that is part of the charm.
Lovely country house, great hosts, fabulous breakfast and great taxi service to Ballycotton. Would recommend for a break away.
Wow, what an incredible place to stay for our first few nights in Ireland! The property is so beautiful and full of history with incredible furnishings! We had fun exploring and walked over to the local potter just up the road. Breakfast was above and beyond, a spread fit for a king! Everything was homemade and delicious! The hosts put so much love and care into this place and made sure we had a great stay.
Beautiful historic property with amazing furniture and grounds
Building site not ideal
The Breakfast was fantastic.
The owners, house, and the food were all exceptional. This is the kind of b&b you hope you find.
Beautiful Georgian Manor House. In a beautiful peaceful setting. Outstanding breakfast. So fresh and wonderfully cooked. Ballymaloe trained chef so couldn’t go wrong!
Nothing I loved it all
WOW…. Kilmahon House was simply amazing. We arrived to a beautiful welcome from Julia and her husband. Julia showed us to our rooms and we were blown away with the decadence of the rooms and bathrooms. There is also a lounge area with beautiful sofas where you can watch T.V. Julia also provides tea and coffee with cake every afternoon at no extra charge which simply tells you what an amazing cook and person she is. She makes all her own Jam, bread, butter to name a few. Her breakfast is simply phenomenal and a real treat to come down to every morning. On our last morning we were treated to some bread and butter pudding she had made that morning. Her kindness itself is 10/10. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back and stay and would highly recommend anyone visiting Cork to honestly give her a visit. Thank you Julia🙏

Beautiful county home, warm and welcoming
Sat nav brought us to the wrong house which was a little frustrating, but once we found the entrance we were sorted.
We really enjoyed the Breakfast and how they were growing the ingredients on site! Would Highly recommend staying here and we’ll be back for sure!
Beautiful and charming restored home, great location, very comfortable room, and gracious owners. The breakfast is outstanding. We would definitely stay here again.
Loved everything about it.
It was amazing all the food was home made, and I mean everything. Hone made bread, butter and kombucha. The house itself was beautiful and homely. Our hosts were amazing and if I am ever in the area again I will 100% stay there again, I'm almost looking for an excuse to return so I can stay there.
Literally nothing I didn't like.
We were welcomed by Julia, the most wonderful Hostess I have ever met with refreshments and home baked goodies! The personal touches at this beautiful home were just off the charts! The food was the best of the whole holiday and I really felt like royalty yet I felt at home all at once! Lots of friendly banter but never too much! This is a woman that knows what she is doing and i wish we could clone her! The property is just glorious and i wish i hadn't left! I cannot fault my time spent there! Thank you so much!
The Hosts, Mike and Julia, are kind and make an effort to get to know guests. The sitting room is the perfect place to spend some quiet time in the evenings. It has a lovely wood burning stove and great ambience. Beds are very comfortable with thick plush blankets.
This place really is special. Mike and Julia are incredibly warm and welcoming. We were really impressed by the accommodation and beautiful surroundings. It was also really clean and quiet. The breakfast was also wonderful. Would absolutely recommend and look forward to returning. And they have the most beautiful dog!

Lovely owners, amazing breakfast, adorable dog.
Friendly owners, quiet location, delicious breakfast, plentiful reading material in sitting room. Convenient to the venue we were going to.
Very minor observation: I had to remove all the trinkets off the window shelf in the bathroom in order to close the shutters.
We had a lovely spacious room, exceptionally comfortable bed and beautiful breakfast with lots of options. Our hosts couldn’t have made us more welcome!

Breakfast was outstanding, so delicious! In the evening we could use the livingroom to have a chat with the other guests over a nice glass of sherry (or port).
Hosts were friendly and provided recommendations as to where we could eat in nearby Ballycotton. They also kindly agreed for us to invite some relatives who lived in the area to join us for breakfast. The freshly cooked breakfast was very enjoyable.
Very cozy and comfortable. Loved the reception room. The breakfast was amazing. Couldn’t have asked for better hosts.
