Lovely guesthouse and Ellie was a great host. We hired bikes through her and she organised intro diving which we would highly recommend. Location in main town was great. Could rinse clothes and hang them on roof at night

Ellie is a great host! Gave me tips about the island before I arrived, met me at the bike rental shop to pick up my luggage, dropped it back off when I was leaving, gave great recommendations across the island. The breakfast is great too. Yummy homemade buns and fresh fruit that her grandma grew! The room is comfy. The location is very convenient. Will definitely stay here again when I return!

The host was extremely helpful. She gave us a map and explained about getting around. She brought us over to Vase Rock where you could see sea turtles from the shoreline. We ended up going back later for snorkeling as it was walking distance and there was such a high concentration of turtles. Breakfast was delicious set of steamed buns and fruit. The rooms were clean and had AC. We had access to the rooftop where we handwashed some clothes and put them in the spinner. FYI ATMs on the island do not accept foreign card so bring cash.

The property is a short walk from the ferry and is central to food vendors and restaurants. The host, Ellie, could not have been any nicer! She went above and beyond in communicating information about the area and even took us to a temple celebration. The property was extremely clean and the bed very comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again.

Ellie selbst hat uns ganz wunderbar empfangen und ist sehr hilfsbereit mit allem: wo schnorcheln, wo essen, wo e-bikes leihen, wo gopro leihen, was angucken, mit extra Tipps was gerade auf der Insel los ist wo es was zu gucken gibt. Sie hat immer schnell geantwortet bei messenger-Kontakt. Es gab einheimisches Frühstück vom Bäcker und immer Trink- und Teewasserzugang.

Mir fällt nichts ein. Für Bewegungseingeschränkte ist das relativ schmale Treppenhaus und kein Aufzug eventuell schwierig.

Die Zimmer sind sauber und sehr liebevoll gestaltet, obwohl unsere Zimmer nicht groß war, was es gut durchdacht und hat einige Haken und Ablageflächen geboten. Ellie ist eine sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Person, die uns tolle Tipps gegeben und sich auch sonst viel Mühe gibt, damit sich ihre Gäste wohl fühlen. Das Frühstück war auch super! Dieses wird für jedes Zimmer in einer Iso-Tasche bereit gestellt, man darf also kein Frühstuck wie in einem großen Hotel erwarten, wir mochte aber das aber gerne, da es gut und unkompliziert war.

We could not wish for a better host! Ellie immediately shared with us tips & tricks for all attractions and food places. She also organized electric scooters for us and a lovely deperting treat! Her place is very comfy, bright, spacious and in a great location.

Ellie really makes sure you feel at home during your stay. At arrival she shares all her knowledge about the island with you as a guest. Her hospitality and kindness make you feel welcome from the first moment you enter her nicely decorated B&B. Breakfast is made with consideration of what you eat and like. The room that I stayed in was fully decorated with owls from shower curtain to pillows. A fabulous place to stay right in the center of town.

Everything was perfect

Very friendly owner and very helpful with booking things to do and places to go around island. Not to far of a walk from the ferry and nestled around a lot of shops - but very peaceful and quiet inside.

Lovely owners. Always there when we asked for help. Delicious breakfast and milk tea. The breakfast is homemade by Ellie's husband's mother which is really sweet. Excellent location, close to everything we needed! The house is in a busy part of the city so it is very easy to get food and drinks. Ellie gave us a lot of great recommendations and we ate a lot of good food thanks to her! Her husband also drove our luggage to the bike rental spot after we checked out! The room was very nice and clean and had everything we needed. It was also super cute with nice decorations. The beds were very comfortable too and the mattresses were soft. .

Very convenient location. The host Ellie was very friendly and supportive, providing all necessary recommendations for the best possible stay.

Excellent location and room for our stay on Xiaoliuqiu. Ellie the host spoke good English and really went out of her way to make sure everything was catered for during our stay, including arranging a snorkelling trip and hiring electric bicycles. She also arranged for us to have vegetarian bao buns for breakfast and gave us a free photo postcard, which was a lovely touch. The booking was also great value for money - fully recommend staying here.

Perfect room at a perfect location managed by a perfect owner. We wished we knew that it would be this nice in advance, because when we arrived we wanted to stay longer. The room was clean and comfortable and the host was as helpful as one can get. Definitely staying here again when I will come back to Xiaoliuqiu.

Extremely friendly host, helped to organise everything from scooter to snorkeling equipment. Many recommendations from her on which beach to go to at a given day based on the situation such as wind, waves etc. Super cute breakfast with turtle buns. Interior nicely decorated with a lot of attention to detail. Location also perfect as it is close to the main ferry terminal and close to the main shops.

Elli was very nice and helpful! We had a wonderful stay :) the house and room was very clean and we really liked the little details in the room which made it very cosy! Good location next to tasty Restaurants and to the ferry!

Ellie is a great host. Lots of info before and during the stay. Sorted out e-motorbike hire with local operator and accompanied to pick which was useful as they didn’t speak any English. Ellie’s English is good. Island is small enough to go round in about 10 mins with lots of places to stop off and explore (bikes a bit scary but useful!). Beauty beach is probably the best place for turtle spotting. We saw loads there but unfortunately typhoon Kong-Rey was on its way and the sea was too rough to swim with them. Also meant that we could only stay 1 night as the ferries were shutting down so we had to get off the island which was shame. Room spacious and comfortable with A/C and fan. Drinking water available downstairs. Location in Baishawei is handy for shops, restaurants & bike hire, and short walk from ferry.

Minor stuff. Breakfast was ok (savoury and sweet buns) but not really to my taste. It’s left in a bag on the table downstairs (Ellie + husband don’t stay in the same building). Coffee in flask but didn’t try - no milk. Shower was powerful but a bit in your face so hard to use. Room on 3rd floor. Lots of in/out shoe swapping.

The location was super. It was clean. Many great tips and tricks to discover the island. Super friendly host and a super breakfast! In addition a lovely personalised gift, which I will not spoil 😊

For me not an issue but please note there is no elevator. It's probably mentioned in the description but if you are unable to do stairs it will be difficult.

The house is quite close to the dock as well as the bustle of the streets (shops, restaurants, rentals...), although one can hardly hear or see it in the room so it does not disturb one's sleep at all. The house is very clean and the host is very kind, she helped us organise (even before our arrival) our bicycle rentals and would help with more if we wanted that, she also made sure to provide us with recommendations as to where and when to go to see turtles and where to go for food. The breakfast was amazing, including baked stuffed buns as well as fruits and tea, there was also potable hot (for tea/coffee) and cold water available all the time.

Ellie is a wonderful host! Kind and patient. She does her best to accommodate the needs of those who stay at Ellies House. Very helpful. Thank you for the tips on snorkeling, bicycle renting and laundry facilities for our family! Not only did Ellie inform us about xiaoliuqiu, we also found out there was another mannenken pis statue outside Brussels, on the mainland of Taiwan.

Wonderful Stay, Thanks to Ellie! My stay at this place was incredible, thanks to Ellie! She was such a sweet and assisting person, always ready to help and made our experience truly amazing. The room itself was spotless, and the cleanliness really stood out. The location couldn’t be more convenient – close to everything we needed. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!

Thank you for your hospitality! The house is perfectly located near the harbour and vase rock. The host is so nice and helped us/ answered all of our questions! (She helped us rent an electric bike and gave us many advices to organise our trip in Xiao Liuqiu). The breakfast was also very good and turtle themed. We also got gifted 4 printed photos. (THANKYOU!) All in all, we enjoyed our stay and recommend everyone to book this house ☺️☺️

Best stay. Amazing!!! Ellie is fabulous. So generous with her time and her help. I would stay here again and again. She helped us organise a scooter and our snorkel tour. I can't praise this place enough. Just brilliant. The little touches that make it so sweet.

Such an enjoyable stay! Everything was organised to the perfection, very smooth and easy. The host gave us plenty of good recommandations, organised and booked tours and scooters. Always available when we had questions or needed something. Delicious healthy home prepared breakfast, anything we might need was available at the property.

Extremely clean, spacious and central accomodation. Super comfy bed. The place itself is already a 10/10, but what makes it truly special is the host, Ellie. She made us feel at home from the very beginning and provided us with tons of information about the island and anything you might need during your stay. What more can I add to what all other reviewers say... this charming B&B and its charming owner made a huge difference to my 2 day stay on the island. Ellie House is like a fairytale lodge, and makes you smile from the moment you wake up in the morning to the turtle buns for breakfast! The rooms are bright, spotlessly clean and contain all the little comforts you need. Beds are large and very comfortable, and there is a fan as well as airconditioning, should you need it. There is a common fridge and take-away containers that guests can borrow. There is a common bathroom that guests can use to freshen up even after they have checked out. The owner works tirelessly to tailor the experience to your needs, and ensures you are fully aware of all that the island has to offer, helping you to book what you need and guiding you with deep details (photos, instructions, recommendations) every step of the way. As it was the last leg of my hectic 3 week vacation, my strength and enthusiasm were waning, and if it were not for her I would have missed out so much. Thanks to her, Liuqiu was the best segment of my entire Taiwan trip. She also spent a lot of effort to make me feel welcome and at home, considering I was on my own. I am so thankful that I chose this accomodation and decided at the last minute to extend my stay to 2 nights. I would have loved to stay much longer!

Guests are asked to bring their own towels, which means heavier luggage and carrying a wet towel home. But I understand that she offers an alternative solution for those that might need it.

I had a perfect stay at Ellie's, she is so kind and good hearted, the place was comfortable, clean and close to everything. The homemade breakfast is really something to try!

Fantastic place, very clean and very close to the ferry. The owner is so nice: she helped us literally on everything we needed. Highly recommended. Also the breakfast prepared only for us was very good.

The service is attentive and comes with homemade special breakfast, which is better than the ones sold outside! There are also custom-made postcards to keep as memories, and free snacks on the first floor, very attentive.

Lovely host and thoughtfully decorated building and rooms. But the highlight was a turtle themed breakfast! We received good tips on what to do, even though we had a bit of language barrier we got all information we needed and more :)

We loved the consideration of the environment but by not providing any towels not sure how that helps, especially if new towels need to be bought because of this. Maybe better to provide small towels instead?

Great location - close to the ferry terminal, visitor centre, major scenic spots, beaches, shops and eateries. The suite is beautifully decorated and spotless clean. The bed is large and comfortable. The host is super friendly and helpful. She offered pick-up and drop-off from/at the ferry terminal, explained and booked electric bicycle rental, and patiently provided all the information we needed to tour the island. Her service was truly exceptional. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone.
