Lovely character B&B with friendly staff and nice communal area with wonderful wood burning stove. Nice breakfast with cooked option available.

Arrived on the coldest night of the year. Room only has an electric oil heater (and the flue from the stove downstairs). Made full use of the electric blanket. Will book again during summer to get a better picture!

Continental breakfast but well done, muffins for an evening snack, great history to the place, and wonderful art all over the house. We were as private as we wanted to be, and the hosts were exceptional.

Not really a lot negative to say. It was tricky to find the front door at night - maybe some clearer instructions on that?

A very different place to stay than the normal motel. The owner Greg was very friendly and helpful.

Being an older residence it comes with the intricacies of that.

What an extra bonus when your accommodation adds to the adventure! I was here for work, and staying at the "convent" turned a standard business trip into an unforgettable experience. The rooms are extremely comfortable with added little luxuries. Everything from the unique character to the excellent hospitality was an absolute joy.

Lovely art filled historic building restored to its former glory outside of the main centre of town. The hosts were most gracious and accommodating and it was great chatting with them about their ventures. The accommodating nature of the hosts assisting me with parking on one day.

Minor detail, really, the road in front of the facility was busy and parking on one day was troublesome.

A quiet and clean property, with lots of refreshments on offer. Breakfast was lovely too.

Amazing old building. Good breakfast and chat. Only short walk down a steep track to an excellent Indian restaurant.

Parking is not obvious. When you arrive on the street, there is only a small sign outside with no driveway. Luckily, I was greeted by the owner, and I was considering alternative accommodation. I was then shown the driveway to the property one down. There is no obvious parking for guests once you arrive around the back of the property. No fault of the owner, the road up to the property was cut off by extensive roadworks in the main street of town, adding twenty minutes to my ride.

Beautiful old house being constantly restored Froemdly owner and very helpful Bed is extremely comfortable. Breakfast is so good. Fresh fruit , yoghurt, cereal,boiled eggs, avocardo, tomatoes, juice, tea and coffee and then toast. Beautifully laid out in dining room. Bathrooms exceptionally clean. Off street parkinh. Costs a bit more but well worth it.

Just be aware that the rooms are up a tall narrow staircase, my husband knocked a picture off the wall going up with our suitcase

Not easy sharing bathroom with 3 others (but that was partly my fault ad l hadn’t noticed in the booking it was shared) Still a great clean, roomy bathroom & plenty of towels etc , body wash. Just 5 people sharing one toilet not ideal. They both apologised as usually never need to share bit were fully booked.

The property while it is older is very cute and beautiful! The hosts make you feel at home as soon as you step in the door and the rooms are gorgeous!! Would absolutely come back again

Very friendly and welcoming hosts. The accommodation is cosy. It’s old fashioned but very comfortable. There’s a shared tv room and it was a rainy day when I was there so the fire was lit.

There was an issue with the booking system (totally out of the hosts control) so I had to share a bathroom with one other room but honestly it was no issue. It was still spacious, convenient and very comfortable.

Bathroom & toilet facilities are both in the same room, which is shared with another room/couple. (We were aware that it was a shared bathroom)

The breakfast was exceptionally good - but so was everything else. The welcome and hospitality were also key points. A bonus was the interesting art collection and attractive furnishing and decor.

Fantastic location on a hillside, in a fabulous building with amazing interior decorations! Our room had loads of character and a large bathroom. Our hosts were so nice, and breakfast in the beautiful diningroom was great.

What a great find. Just a wonderful old house, beautifully decorated by hostess June. The breakfasts were plentiful with a number of choices. Geoff was very helpful and set up the BBQ for us one night. The beds were very comfortable and there was a fridge and teamaking facilities situated in the hallway. The house was just a short walk to town.

Fantastic accommodation in a converted convent. It's an old building so a bit rough around the edges, creaky floorboards etc, but also loads of character. Lovely hosts, lovely breakfast, great location.

I found the bed very uncomfortable. The room was advertised as having a balcony, but there was no access to it, and it was covered in painting supplies. No big deal, just not what I expected.

Breakfast was amazing and absolutely loved the stay.

We were made to feel very welcome. Relaxed stay and a very scrummy breakfast - especially liked the homemade muesli. Great location and fantastic hospitality - would highly recommend and will be back to stay again.

The superb breakfast reminded me of the Savoy the way it was presented. The home is tastefully decorated. This property and hospitality was therefore above my expectations. The chocolate by the bedside which I noticed as I got into bed showed me these people love their business.

Beautifully presented 1916(?) convent accommodation, with lots to look at and treasure; warm and cosy, well equipped and decorated private room and ensuite, beautiful breakfast available for us at 6.45 am!! Geoff, June and Rufus warm and friendly!
