Abbeyview House B&B and Glamping

Fueron muy amables. Aunque nuestro inglés no es muy bueno, se esforzaron por entendernos y darnos un buen servicio. Nos enseñaron la cuadra y la niña estuvo encantada de ver la yegua (pony decían ellos), y además tienen dos perritos pequeños (que en el interior de la casa no los ves), adorables.

Todo bien.

Mooie ruime kamer en badkamer met heerlijk bad. Vriendelijke gastvrouw waar we 's morgens bij het ontbijt een erg leuk gesprek mee hadden, zij heeft ons veel verteld over de geschiedenis van Ierland en nog een tip gegeven om langs een museum te gaan. Lekker ontbijt ook. En het was schoon, erg fijn. Leuke pub op loopafstand, rustige omgeving.

Very high standard accommodation with excellent host and hostess -friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. Very quiet rural area, with things to explore in the neighbourhood

Location 5 mins walk from Abbeyshrule village. Two nice pubs in village. Rustic Inn very good firewood. Book your reservation in Rustic Inn for dinner as v busy. Good stopping point for cycling Royal Canal. We didn't stay in B&B. We stayed in Sheperds Hut which are close to Abbeyview B& B. Shepherds Hut v nice, v clean and very well fitted out with beds, bathroom & kitchen facilities. We paid 150 Euros for one night for Sheperds Hut which was expensive. But accommodation is v limited in the area.

Price may be cheaper off season. We stayed in August at height of tourist season. Accommodation limited in the area but the Royal Canal in that area is very interesting historically and the village is very pretty.

Tout d’abord, l’accueil, merci à Susan de nous avoir attendu, arrivés un peu tard que prévu à cause de la location de voiture… bâtisse très belle, chambre très jolie, confortable et propre. Très bon petit déjeuner copieux. Parfait pour notre halte vers Sligo.

We really liked the chalet, it was cosy, clean and comfortable. Checking in was very easy. The location is very rural and really relaxing. Everything about it was fab!

An extra pillow per person would have been much appreciated!

We loved our stay in Abbeyview Shepard Huts. It was a novelty for our 4 & 5 year olds. They loved the farm animals and the beautiful village too. We had everything we needed around us.

A beautiful house, tastefully restored, in lovely countryside overlooking the ruined Cistercian Abbey at Abbeyshrule. Not just an idyllic setting, but also featuring wonderful hospitality from Susan our host, a lovely bedroom with comfy bed and well equipped bathroom and a great hearty breakfast. Thank you so much Susan for a lovely stay-and we shall most certainly be returning.

Location location

Late arrival was heartly welcomed. The Landlady was extremely helpful and informative over the area. Breakfast was tasty, full Irish was filling, maybe a variety sauces would enhance the meal.

Everything was fine. Local walks were interesting for our dog.

There is a great restaurant close by, very quiet area.

Far from main town

The freshly made breakfast was superb. The rooms are fantastic and the setting is idyllic. The owners are so friendly and attentive.

Abbeyview House B&B is the perfect place to relax in the middle of nature. I would like to highlight the beautiful and spacious house, with its impressive bathroom. The breakfast was delicious, and we truly appreciated the warm hospitality of our hosts. Fully recommended.

Beautiful house in the middle of the countryside. Perfect place to spend a night relaxing and enjoying the comfort of the beautiful house and peacefulness. Very welcoming family. Home away from home and our little dog was also welcome. Lovely breakfast - fresh and tasty. We will be back!

Beautiful home in the countryside, woke up to such a gorgeous view! Some of our party stayed in the home and myself and my partner stayed in one of the cabins, the room in the home was beautiful and the cabin was absolutely stunning, cosy in the very cold weather and everything was provided, Susan was even so kind to allow all of us to have breakfast together in the morning even though in the cabin we were due to be self catering. Clearly a loved family home and could’ve chatted to Susan all day. Absolutely loved our short stay, and such lovely hosts, thank you again!

Laundry drying around the house. Appearance of this not consideed from guests point of view. Beakfast middling, lack of attention to detail.

Excellent fresh cooked full Irish breakfast available and it was delightful.

The bed in my room could be updated. The one in my son‘s room was excellent.

The facilities were just what we wanted and the location was lovely.

One of the best had two large cushions for the mattress and they separated during the night and was slightly uncomfortable but it could have been how I set up the bed.

The shepherds hut was very comfortable and quite new, but the facilities around the hut and area are not what we expected.

I realise the glamping/shepherds hut venture is in its initial stages but we were a bit disapointed in the area where the hut was situated. We were so glad to have The Rustic Inn pub/restaurant only half a mile away where we spent most of the evening and the canal walk close by. The campsite could do with a bit of work up-grading the paths and child play areas and perhaps a focal decking point for adults to sit and meet. A bit over priced at the minute comparing to what you get in a hotel.

WE stayed in a shepard's Cabin

Felt cooking facilities could have been better as only An Fryer/Toaster/Kettle. Would have liked a small cooker ring.

Idyllic location, glamping chalets were wonderfully thought through.

The communication could have been better / check in directions etc but not a big deal

Everything was very clean and cozy. I have always felt very well taken care of. When I told them I needed breakfast, they made sure to have some ready for me. A delicious meal; quite a detail. Thank you very much!

It was a little out of town but in a quiet area and not too far from the center.

Our party stayed in one guest room in the main house and in one of the chalets. Both accommodations were very comfortable, clean and meticulously organized. Our hosts were amazing and went out of their way to help us feel at home and welcomed. We went for a lovely evening meal in a pub within walking distance. The breakfast at Abbeyview was top notch. Anyone coming through this area would be lucky to book here.

Hosts are incredible, amazing location with pub and walks nearby, really lovely rooms, spotlessly clean, and delicious breakfast.

The only thing is the bed in our room was a bit creaky, and as a light sleeper it did wake me up a little

Beautiful tiny house in a wonderful area

Great hosts, great location, loved the accommodation well equipped for self catering air fryer, two electric rings, kettle, toaster great fridge, comfy double bed, great shower, loved layout of accommodation well thought out to make most of space, absolutely perfect for us.

Quiet location

We were greeted My host family’s daughter Eleanor 😍. She was so professional learned it all from her parents. Thank you for welcoming us on our arrivals and showing us to our room and all the details reg breakfast. HOME AWAY FROM HOME.

Single bed in the bedroom was not comfortable at all. Shared double bed with my son.

Really quiet which not use to being from a city however think some lighting is needed along driveway during nighttime

It was a beautiful property, renovated to keep the style of the original house, so comfortable & welcoming. We stayed in the Shepards huts which are just dreamy Susan is an absolute gem we were treated to the highest level of hospitality, we will be back

We had amazing stay in Abbeyview House. We stayed in one of the Shepard Huts and the space was exactly like in the pictures. The bed was comfortable and the little kitchenette had everything we needed. The owners were lovely and made us feel welcome. They were very accommodating with our early check in request too. We will definitely be back!
