Hard not to like the property

Wow is all I can say about Sense Fuji. From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into another world. The team were incredibly attentive and genuinely seemed to anticipate your needs before you even asked. On one occasion, we simply sat in the reception area and a pot of tea appeared without us requesting it. Nothing was too much trouble, and throughout our stay we felt completely looked after. The villa experience was outstanding. Meals were cooked on the terrace and served in the privacy of our room, making every meal feel special and personal. The level of service was among the best we have experienced anywhere. Although we didn't get to see Mount Fuji because of the mist, it didn't detract from our enjoyment. We left feeling relaxed, refreshed and grateful for the break from the pace of sightseeing. It was the perfect place to slow down and unwind. The private spa experience was another highlight. An hour in the spa bath and sauna seemed to pass in five minutes. The facilities were excellent and, on a clear day, the large windows would provide wonderful views towards Mount Fuji. If I could score this property 11 out of 10

My only constructive comment would be that the private spa was more expensive than similar facilities elsewhere on our trip. However, it was still a fantastic experience and one we thoroughly enjoyed

The cabins are isolated and you get the filling that you are alone. The staff are nice and helpful, and if you choose to order any of their meals (Breakfast or dinner) you get a full in room service (when we were there it was raining so I can only assume that in good weather it is served on the balcony of the room.

The room that we took was with a hot tub and a sauna. In actual, it required a lot of manual work as we needed to fill in the hot tub (which makes it feels like you're just taking a bath outdoors) also the Sauna had to be operated by us with firewood (and was actually in a sort of a special tent) both amenities required and advanced preparation.

We were blown away by the views, the facilities, the thought put into many little provisions that made our stay memorable

Great service from A to Z, very large accomodation, loved the outdoor sauna and tub.

The Sense Fuji was everything and more, from the service to the amazing view of Mount Fuji. The private hot spring and sauna was one of the peaks of our stay as well as the incredible wagyu sukiyaki that was cooked on our terrace.

There wasn't anything that we disliked during our stay at The Sense Fuji. Could not fault it.

Amazing stay. Takuya and his colleagues made us feel like royalty. We were immediately welcomed and checked in quickly. Our room was spacious and had a private hot tub and sauna. Everything was easy to use. The views of Mount Fuji were unbeatable. The private onsen experience topped off an amazing stay!

The room was private, spacious and quiet like we expected. I highly recommend the spa experience for your group. The view of Mount Fuji from the rooms was absolutely stunning.

I thoroughly enjoyed the property and the customer service. This place is something everyone should experience when visiting Mt. Fuji.

Everything was amazing at the place, after leaving buzzing Kyoto city, it is great to have a time off looking at the Mt Fuji. I cannot stress enough how stunning the view is well as the attention of the staff members, both making special time for my parents and I.

It was perfect from getting a shuttle bus from the bus station, seeing Mount Fuji, personally cooked dinner and breakfast as well as the private sauna/onsen (the latter is at the additional charge). The staff is very nice and accommodating.

The only note is that the hai direr is not very powerful. I have fine hair and it took a while therefore, for a thick hair owners this may be an issue

I cannot begin to express how much I enjoyed staying at the Sense Fuji. It is just a 15 minute shuttle away from Kawaguchiko station and the rooms, services, and views were impeccable. I stayed here with 6 of my close friends and we collectively agreed it was the best hotel we stayed at during our 2 week vacation in Japan. Even though the day we checked in was rainy and foggy, it provided a nice ambience for the night and then we were awoken by the breathtaking view of Mt. Fuji. Photos do not do it justice, Mt. Fuji looks a lot closer in person! Every single bed has a great view of Fuji. Plus, the onsen/sauna area was amazing! The cleanest facilities I had the pleasure of enjoying. This hotel is a MUST!!

The only "complaint" I have, if you could even call is that, is that the provided skincare was scented and I do not have scented skincare. That's it! Everything else was amazing!

This by far was the nicest hotel on our 10 day trip! The half board was so worth it—the hot pot meal was outstanding and cooked for us specifically! Breakfast is the same way… Beer is included and soft drinks

Nothing It’s truly a great place to stay with incredible views of Mt Fuji

Loved absolutely everything the view was out of this world waking up to a view of mtfuji could not ask for anything better! Staff were beyond amazing, so welcoming and made us feel so comfortable, relaxed and cared for! The room was so good, great size bed was massive and so comfy fireplace made it so nice and cozy and romantic! Loved the onsen was so relaxing private with an amazing view as well .

콰드러플룸 - 산 전망 룸을 예약하였습니다. 최고의 시설과 서비스를 경험할 수 있는 숙소였습니다. 4인 가족, 60대 후반 부모님을 모시고 다녀왔는데 부모님께서도 매우 만족해 하셨습니다. 직원분들은 매우 친절하셨고, 시설은 깔끔하게 준비되어 있었습니다. 목욕 가운 뿐 만 아니라 잠옷과 외출용 후드자켓, 담요 등도 준비되어 있었으며 숙소를 이용할수록 여기저기 세심하게 아낌없이 준비했다는 것을 느낄 수 있었습니다. 일본 숙소에서 보기 드문 따뜻한 바닥 난방이 되었고 (아주 훌륭함), 천장에서 나오는 히터도 있었습니다. 실내에 나무를 태우는 난로도 있었는데, 보통 숙소에서는 유료 옵션이지만 이 숙소에서는 추가요금 없이 이용할 수 있었습니다. 감성도 있고 매우 따뜻한 밤을 보낼 수 있었습니다. 베개와 침대도 편안했고, 침대는 4개이지만 워낙 넓어서 최대 8명이서도 잘 수 있을 것 같다는 생각이 들었습니다. 욕조도 있었는데 온천수를 받아 목욕할 수 있었습니다. 물은 아주 따뜻하게 잘 나왔습니다. 맥주가 무제한으로 제공되며, 외부 주류 반입은 불가하고 와인을 주문해서 마실 수 있었습니다. 저희는 저녁과 조식을 포함했는데 결과적으로 아주 잘했다는 생각이 들었습니다. 직원분들께서 테라스로 와주셔서 요리해주시고, 실내에 근사하게 세팅해주셔서 맛있는 음식을 편하게 먹을 수 있었습니다. 추가 비용을 지불하면 가운데에 위치한 공용 공간의 온천과 사우나를 이용할 수 있는데, 이곳이 최고의 뷰를 선사하기 꼭 예약하시는것을 추천드립니다. 낮에는 근사한 후지산을, 밤에는 수많은 별을 관측할 수 있는 너무나도 멋진 숙소였습니다.

아쉬운 점이 없는 완벽한 숙소였습니다.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Help was always available. They were good at communicating in my native language (English). And the room was accommodating and comfortable.

Loved my stay in Kawaguchiko. The hotel has a beautiful view of Mount Fuji, and the cold weather made everything feel extra special. Staff were incredibly friendly and the service was excellent. The room was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. Overall, a wonderful experience — I’d definitely come back.

The surrounding, the staff , the service are all fantastic . Note there is no common dining area therefore if you order breakfast or dinner it’s prepared right outside ur chalet and serve to you . There is free flow beer and the room comes with tub and onsen water. The location although secluded but it’s only a short drive to the lake and mt Fuji.

The beds great . But the pillow abit too soft for our liking .

The most amazing setting and views. All the staff were so lovely and accommodating. It felt like everything had been considered including the complimentary Uniqlo hoodies for use whilst staying. Hire car recommended so you can explore independently but believe the house car will collect you from the train station in the town.

Our only slight criticism is that the spa has to be booked for private use an hour at a time which whilst using it privately is lovely, it seems a shame the facility sits unused a large amount of the time.

My wife and I agree that this was the best hotel/resort stay of our lives. Your staff provided us with the highest quality service with the most friend ly and welcoming spirit. Great atmosphere and a friendly welcome.

The location was excellent. Its possible to see mount fuji from the venue however please be mindful of cloudy days. If its cloudy its impossible. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Typical Japanese hospitality 10/10.

There were quite a few flies in the apartment. This may be because of the season we were in but an electric fly swatter would be helpul. The cleanliness could have been better, there were a few surfaces that had streaks of cleaning or were slightly sticky.

It’s a good place to slow down one’s pace from the city. Almost everything is provided for. The idea of a personal chef preparing meals as in-room service is amazing. Nothing beats the attentiveness of the staffs (especially Shinji san who went out of his way to make us feel at home despite our language barrier) which make up for the slight imperfections of the place.

Would be perfect to offer services for order in lunch for stay in guests and that the mattress is softer.

What an escape! If you’ve to do one thing for your Japan’s trip, stay here!!!

We had an incredible experience at The Sense Fuji from start to finish. The staff met us at the train station with cold water and lavender-scented oshibori towels in the shuttle, setting the tone for a thoughtful and relaxing stay. Upon arrival, we were greeted with drinks and even got to roast marshmallows—such a fun touch! Our room was completely private with a stunning view of Mt. Fuji. The private dinners and breakfasts were absolutely exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond to assist us, including arranging taxis whenever needed. The private-use spa and sauna were heavenly, also offering beautiful views. When it was time to leave, we were personally dropped off at the station. We truly can't recommend The Sense Fuji enough—special thanks to Hara, who made our stay even more memorable!

This was one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. The staff were extremely kind and accommodating. There was no difficulty communicating with them at all. The accommodations were gorgeous. Very modern and clean with Japanese touches to it. Our villa had a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji and waking up to that view is something out of a dream. The staff cooked dinner and breakfast for us which was divine. Once we were ready to checkout, the staff gave us a ride to our taxi via golf cart and sent us on our way with big smiles. If you’re thinking about staying here, absolutely do it! You will not regret it!

The location, stuff and facilities were amazing.

For some reason no one told us that we had to pay for the onsen when we set the time, so we were a bit surprised when checking out.

We booked the barrel suana cabin, it was a cute little cabin with an outdoor bath tub and wood fired sauna. All the staff were so professional, polite and friendly especially ishigawa and keiko. We are definitely coming back on our next trip to Japan. This place is a little piece of heaven . I recommend booking the private hot springs and suana. My compliments to all the staff , management and owner. EXCELLENT!!!!!

Very stunning view of Mount Fuji. Feels like you are at the base of the mountain looking up . Food was very delicious for the breakfast and dinner and Onsen was very private . Perfect for couples or families who enjoy a private getaway . Area is secluded so its away from the noise and crowd. 11/10

Luxury accommodation with amazing views of Mt Fuji. Spent a night here with 2 adults and 2 children in a very spacious villa that worked well for the entire family.

Even prettier than the pictures and Mount Fuji feels so close

とてもよかったです。温泉がでる部屋風呂も、貸切できるサウナがついた家族風呂もよかったです。お部屋の横で調理してくれるお食事もおいしかったです。インテリアやアメニティも素敵でした。周りに何も視界をさえぎるものなく富士山が楽しめます。標高1000メートル以上ですので、気温差を考えて服装は用意した方がよいです。ベッドのマットレスはやや固めです。
