Wir haben eine Nacht in der Superior Suite der Villa Paranaguá verbracht und waren rundum begeistert. Das Hotel hebt sich deutlich von klassischen Stadthotels ab und schafft eine ganz besondere, persönliche Atmosphäre mitten in Rio de Janeiro. Unsere Superior Suite war hervorragend: großzügig, außergewöhnlich gestaltet und auf einem deutlich gehobenen Niveau. Die gesamte Ausstattung wirkt sehr bewusst ausgewählt und hochwertig – von den Möbeln über die Materialien bis hin zu den vielen kleinen Details. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns das einzigartige Raumkonzept. Dazu gehörte eine riesige private Terrasse mit Bäumen und wunderschönen Pflanzen sowie verschiedenen gemütlichen Möglichkeiten zum Sitzen und Verweilen. Eine kleine Oase für sich. Auch die Poolanlage ist ausgesprochen gepflegt und perfekt zum Entspannen. Obwohl man sich mitten in Rio befindet, hat man hier kaum das Gefühl, in einer Millionenstadt zu sein. Das gesamte Hotel strahlt eine bemerkenswerte Ruhe aus. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das Personal. Jeder war außerordentlich freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend, und bei sämtlichen Fragen und Anliegen wurde uns sofort und sehr herzlich weitergeholfen. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen und bestens aufgehoben. Auch kulinarisch hat uns die Villa Paranaguá überzeugt: Die Bar serviert hervorragende Cocktails und das Frühstück ist außergewöhnlich gut und passt perfekt zum hohen Anspruch des Hauses. Was dieses Hotel für uns letztlich so besonders macht, ist die Liebe zum Detail, die sich wirklich überall wiederfindet. Selbst der Empfangsbereich ist mit Kunst, sorgfältig ausgewählten Möbeln und besonderen Gegenständen gestaltet. Nichts wirkt beliebig oder austauschbar – vielmehr hat man das Gefühl, dass jeder einzelne Bereich mit viel Geschmack und einem klaren Konzept geschaffen wurde. Ein außergewöhnliches Hotel mit viel Persönlichkeit, hervorragendem Service und einer wunderbaren Atmosphäre. Für uns eine ganz besondere Unterkunft.

Hospedagem de altíssima qualidade, quarto amplo e bem decorado. Ótimo atendimento por todos os funcionários, incluindo drink de boas vindas. Café da manhã delicioso! Bar com drinks autorais e boas opções para comer, em especial o carpaccio de beterraba.

Ar condicionado direcionado para a cama é algo que precisa ser repensado por arquitetos, atrapalha o conforto dos hóspedes.

It is an absolutely beautiful hotel with lovely attention to detail throughout. The staff are outstanding. The breakfast is one of the best I have had and the snacks and dinner were also delicious. Rooms and beds very comfortable.

Café da manhã delicioso, assim como o almoço. O quarto é enorme e muito confortável. Usufruímos também de uma ótima sauna, piscina e massagem. O atendimento de toda a equipe é excepcional.

Adoramos a gentileza da equipe, a sofisticação do ambiente em cada detalhe e amamos todas as refeições que fizemos no hotel (café da manhã e jantar). A piscina e a sauna também são ótimas! Tudo impecável! Somos moradores do Rio, mas queríamos comemorar uma data especial e a nossa escolha não poderia ser mais acertada. Para completar a experiência, passeamos de bondinho e curtimos o charme de Santa Teresa.

Casa belíssima, muito bem cuidada. A equipe é extremamente acolhedora, simpática e discreta. Comida impecável: tomamos café da manhã, almoçamos (estava servindo risoto), petiscamos...tudo muito bom, assim como os drinks. Ambientes externos muito agradáveis, jardim lindo, passarinhos cantando...foram belos dias!

L’hôtel est magnifique, tout est décoré avec beaucoup de goût. La chambre était spacieuse très confortable avec un joli balcon et une très belle salle de bain. La piscine est splendide, le service est très attentionné.

Tout est parfait, un petit manque de Kleenex et verres à dents dans la salle de bain.

O hotel é impecável! Fomos muito bem recebidos pelos funcionários que são gentis e atenciosos. O ambiente é charmoso, limpo e de extremo bom gosto. O jardim é muito bonito e a piscina é muito agradável.

Gorgeous place in a great neighbourhood. Everything from the room to the lounge and the pool is so stylish and a pleasure to look at. Staff was great as well, special thanks to Pablo for fixing me up a homemade electrolyte drink when I was feeling a bit unwell :)

It was beautiful, very clean, extremely stylish, extra comfortable and the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble but they felt like friends. Thankyou to Daniel, Gabrielle, Pablo, Andreas, Carole and Emmanuelle and all the staff we didn’t get to say hi to in person but who worked equally hard to make our stay feel like a special home from home.

Food was delicious and very good value but we felt that the menu was limited given that we were there 4 nights and it was the same for lunch and dinner. The guys did make an effort to get in gluten free bread which was appreciated.

The location is excellent, close to fun neighbourhoods but tucked away and peaceful. The pool area and views are stunning and the rooms are comfortable and clean.

Un véritable paradis caché, avec l’âme d’une maison de famille. Chaque détail est soigneusement pensé, alliant goût et personnalité, et les matériaux sont de grande qualité. La piscine est particulièrement agréable. Nous avons seulement regretté de ne pas y être restés plus longtemps que deux jours.

Petit coin de paradis ! Le personnel est au petit soin, ce qui est exceptionnel ! Le patron a pris bien le temps de nous conseiller sur les endroits à visiter. Très belle et grande chambre avec balcon. Magnifique terrasse ! Tôt le matin on a pu observer des singes. Beaucoup de variétés d’oiseaux. Nous reviendrons !

The staff are super helpful and the stay is very personalised, you will immediately feel like at home. The food is very nice (breakfast and snacks offered throughout the day). The villa is gorgeous, great place to enjoy the pool in this oasis in Santa Teresa. Quiet at night, which allows a good night sleep. Ended up going back to stay here before leaving Rio and can definitely see ourselves going back!

Would have liked a full duvet rather than a blanket, but this is just a minor preference. SPA menu needs further refinement, but the staff are very open to feedback and are interested in improving.

Un hôtel de charme intimiste en plein cœur de la tumultueuse Rio. L’hôtel est calme et très bien décoré. Le personnel est exceptionnel et au petit soin. La nourriture est excellente. Les massages sont exceptionnels et à très bon prix. Un havre de paix nous avions l’impression d’être seul à l’hôtel ☺️. La patronne a pris le temps de nous accueillir et de nous conseiller sur la ville. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.

Our 2 night stay at this beautifully renovated property was excellent, made especially so by the friendly and helpful staff. With a delightful garden it is very much an oasis in the city centre. Our room was extremely spacious and comfortable, and although offering only light bites the food both during the day and at breakfast was very good.

Der Service war einmalig. Man war nicht nur eine Nummer, wie in anderen Luxushotels. Es fühlte sich wie Zuhause an. Es war die richtige Entscheidung dieses Hotel zu buchen und können es uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Die Hotels an der Copacabana sind unserer Meinung das Geld nicht wert und überbewertet und man kann keine 5min liegen ohne das ein Verkäufer kommt. Bucht daher bitte dieses Hotel als eure Oase im Rio!

This hotel is spectacular - The breakfast was delicious and the staff accommodating. The rooms are huge with a balcony and there is lots of extra space to use if needed. The pool and the planting are divine - really lovely watching hummingbirds dive into the pool and fly away. A very special place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Paranaguá, a beautiful boutique hotel full of charm and character. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and attentive — from reception to the bar and the breakfast team. Everything was perfect and it’s truly an ideal place to relax after a long day of sightseeing in Rio. The atmosphere is calm, elegant, and welcoming. The hotel is not located in the main tourist area, but that actually adds to its appeal. Ubers are plentiful, inexpensive, and make getting around very easy. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a peaceful, stylish place to stay — a real gem hidden in Rio.

This is a spectacular boutique hotel in Rio. The staff are outstanding. The “bar food” (no big restaurant) is excellent: French, delicious, interesting, well presented. The ambiance is architectural interesting, attention to small detail, artistic, lovely, welcoming. An outstanding decor. The outside is beautifully designed with gardens, seating area, pool area, outdoor dining: all with a flair for landscaping and decor. The views of Rio from this hilltop location are spectacular. This is a hidden gem. Do not miss it!

Nothing. If you are in a wheelchair or frail, you cannot stay here. There is no elevator and the gorgeous, spiral staircase with marble steps winds up to the floors. There is a beautiful railing, but if you are frail, this is not for you.

L'hotel est trés cosy avec une belle piscine entourée de verdure. Le spa est petit mais la masseuse française etait tres competente et masse merveilleusement bien.

Nou avons passé une nuit en famille dans cet établissement extraordinaire. Tout était parfait! Le personnel pro et bienveillant, l'hôtel dans une magnifique demeure coloniale, le SPA, la piscine immense, le restauration très bien. Les propriétaires sont également fort sympathiques. Mention spéciale pour la réceptionniste qui a tout fait pour rendre notre séjour au top. Tout le monde était très avenant et l'accueil personnalisé quand on arrive est très appréciable. La déco de la demeure est sans faute, tout est de bon gout.

Sehr großzügige und sehr gut gepflegte Hotelanlage mit äußerst servicebreiten, aufmerksamen und freundlichen Personal. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, groß und verfügte über eine funktionsfähige, gute Klimaanlage von Daikin. Diese war durchgängig in Betrieb, was wir als sehr angenehm empfunden haben. Die kleine Minibar mit wenigen Getränken wird täglich nachgefüllt. Auch gab es in der Nähe der Betten ausreichend Steckdosen zum Laden elektronischer Geräte. Das Bad hatte ein Fenster und die Dusche war groß und ebenerdig. Insgesamt war das Hotelzimmer lichtdurchflutet. Wir hatten auch einen großen eigenen Balkon mit Sitzgelegenheiten. Das individuell servierte Frühstück (kein Buffet) und die bestellbaren kleinen Speisen waren von außerordentlich guter Qualität. Problemlos konnte man Sonderwünsche beim - im Zimmerpreis inkludierten - Frühstück anmelden. Der Pool war sehr sauber und es waren ausreichend freie bequeme Liegen vorhanden. Am Pool gab es einen Barservice. Die Bar war täglich von 12 Uhr bis 22 Uhr geöffnet. Die anderen Gäste waren kultiviert und sehr angenehm.

Direkt beim Check-in wurden uns 500 BRL pro Nacht (2.500 BRL, 25% des Zimmerpreises) auf der Kreditkarte als Vorauszahlung für Verzehr abgebucht. Bei der Abreise wurde dieser Betrag nicht mit dem tatsächlichen Verzehr verrechnet, sondern erst mehrere Tage später storniert. Das Hotelzimmer könnte man noch etwas verbessern: - Austausch der defekten Balkontür, die einen 2 cm breiten Schlitz am Boden hatte, wodurch Insekten in das Zimmer gelangen konnten - Verbesserte Abdunkelung der Balkontüren. Ab 5 Uhr wurde es hell im Zimmer. Wir konnten das Hotel weder selbstständig betreten noch verlassen. Stets musste ein Hotelmitarbeiter die Außentür mit einer speziellen Karte öffnen. Wir hatten das Gefühl uns in einem Luxus-Gefängnis zu befinden. Leider standen nur wenige kleine Gerichte zur Auswahl, weshalb man zum Essen stets in ein Restaurant fahren musste. Die generell sehr unsichere Sicherheitslage im Umfeld des Hotels erfordert beim Verlassen des Hotels ein Taxi oder ein Uber.

Até o "barulho" daí era bom: o ensaio do famoso Bloco das Carmelitas é quase na frente, mas não se preocupem: acabou 22h direitinho para a vizinhança dormir tranquilamente!

Blackout do quarto precisa melhorar. O quarto é super confortável, mas extremamente claro, em especial da porta-janela que dá para a sacada.
