The receptionist and canteen staff were great and give us warm welcome and quick responding to anything we need. Secondly the location is good. It was easy to find our needs such as grocery, cloths, desserts and restaurants and cafes

The lift was too small. It was just enough for 2 to 3 persons. Other than that the hotel is great

La localisation est vraiment pratique, proche du tram et des zones touristiques, ce qui permet de tout faire facilement à pied ou en transport. Il y a aussi plein de boutiques sympas et de commerces autour, l’emplacement est idéal pour profiter du séjour. Le personnel est également très gentil, accueillant et toujours prêt à aider, ce qui reste très appréciable.

Dès l’arrivée, une forte odeur de canalisation dans la chambre, ce qui n’est vraiment pas agréable. En plus, l’isolation est mauvaise : on entend énormément le bruit dans les couloirs ainsi que les autres clients dans leurs chambres, difficile de se reposer correctement. Les serviettes semblaient propres mais il y avait plein de cheveux dessus, ce qui donne une très mauvaise impression sur l’hygiène générale. Le petit déjeuner est très peu varié et manque clairement de choix. Globalement, le ménage et l’entretien sont vraiment à revoir.

Top location - walking distance to major historic sites, and a tram stop to reach anywhere in the city. Friendliest staff!!!!!! Front desk was excellent, caring, very helpful! Sending all my love and thanks to the guys! Very clean, rooms are nice, albeit somewhat old. Overall, a great stay in Istanbul if you are here to explore the city.

Breakfast could use fresh fruit and vegetables, and plain yoghurt. There is a produce market right down the street, I don’t see why the property doesn’t use this opportunity. Then it might actually look like the pictures))))

The staff is very nice, good communication in English, the room is clean, the air conditioning works, the doors should be repaired throughout the hotel, the noise of the broken doors is disturbing.

Die Lage war sehr zentral. Das Bett war bequem.

Es ist sehr hellhörig. Unter den Zimmertüren war ein deutlicher Spalt. Die Reinigung kann man optional täglich anmelden. Schade, dass diese nicht immer gründlich erfolgte.

Es hat seinen erwartungen entsprochen. Sauber und das Personal war auch nett. Würde es weiter empfehlen.

Hotel is ok for its purpose. If you want to spend the whole day outside exploring Istanbul and only come to the hotel for sleeping and showering, it is perfect. If you want to spend your day at the hotel, it is not the right choice. The staff is really nice and forthcoming.

The customer service and the receptionists where extremely patient with us and assisted us with what to explore in Istanbul and they had also let us use their personal phone to allow us to order food to the hotel the receptionists where Imam, Tariq and Amro. Would definitely recommend this hotel to tourists.

The location is good, lots of shops around and 10 min walk to tram station too. Staff was lovely and accomadated to our requests. Hotel breakfast is very good as well! The receptionist Anwar provided great customer service!!!

Nice Hotel In Istanbul

Der check in war völlig ok, Zimmer sind zwar ganz neu eingerichtet, leider sind die Wände soooo...dünn ,dass wir Gespräche der Nachbarn sehr gut hören konnten. Zudem war die Sauberkeit nicht so wirklich gut, da ist noch viel Luft nach oben..zum beispiel die Fensterbank ziemlich staubig ,in der Nachtisch Schublade leider noch " Reste " von dem vorherigen Gast...in der Dusche leider schwarze Haare, ich habe graue und mein enkelsohn blonde Haare.das Frühstück war ok,aber leider nicht wirklich große Auswahl und so gut wie jeden Tag dasselbe...aber die Küchenfee war super freundlich und zuvorkommend...auch der Manager,ein sehr netter junger Mann...alles in allem Fotos sind leider nie wirklich aussagekräftig und ich muss auch nicht nochmal nach Istanbul, wollte einfach nochmal dorthin, da ich meine Kindheit dort so gut wie in den Ferien verbracht habe...also, für einen städtetrip,ohne Ansprüche völlig ok aber mehr definitiv nicht...

Die Unterkunft ist in einer Seitenstraße gelegen, weg von der Hauptstraße mitten im authentischen Istanbul. Von der Unterkunft aus ist die Metro 10 min zu fuß erreichbar.

Ottimo albergo, personale molto gentile e cortese. Pulito, vicino alla fermata dei mezzi pubblici ottimo servizio. Da provare sicuramente per un viaggio ad Istanbul

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were very filling and healthy.

Die Zimmer waren an sich sauber. Betten etwas klein. Die Umgebung des Hotels sollte vorher auf jeden Fall über Google Maps angeschaut werden. Abends auf der Straße sehr dreckig tagsüber sauber viele kleine Geschäfte 3 Minuten Fußweg ist ein kleiner Supermarkt. 35 Minuten Fußweg vom großen Basar.

Frühstück nicht so lecker

Kleines Hotel mit sehr freundlichem und hilfsbereitem Personal. Sehr sauber! WLAN super. Ideal gelegen für die Stadtbesichtigungen, ca 300m den Berg hoch zur wichtigen Team Bahnlinie T1. WIR KOMMEN GERNE WIEDER

Net hotel, vriendelijk personeel. Prima kamer alleen zou een stoel erbij op de kamer, handig zijn. Het ontbijt is eenvoudig maar verder prima.

Very nice quiet stay

It was 5 off us in one room and it still feels spacious. Beds ware super comfortable. They changed our towels and sheets on the third day. Staff was really nice and helpful. Location was about 15 min walk from all the attractions. For the price hotel was amazing.

Don't have anything to complain.

The only problem was the sound proofing. I could hear the room across the corridor playing music and we both had our doors closed. Its a nice little hotel. Good breakfast. My room was very small. No chair in the room to sit. You could only watch tv in bed and 1/4 of the tv was hidden behind to wardrobe. There was no view from the window. All you could see was rubbish on the ground outside. What a shame. Lots of cheap shops snd eats around the hotel. Nearest metro Yenikapi. About a 10 min walk.

Nicht empfehlenswert! Das Hotel liegt in einer sehr abgelegenen Gegend mit stark verschmutzten Straßen, was schon bei der Anreise ein unangenehmes Gefühl vermittelt hat. Unser Zimmer war in einem untragbaren Zustand: die Dusche war in den Ecken verschmutzt, das Bett hatte Haare und Flecken, und weder der Boden noch die Ablagen wurden offenbar gereinigt. Das gesamte Zimmer machte einen ungepflegten Eindruck. Wir haben das Hotel nach einer Stunde wieder verlassen, da seitens des Personals keinerlei Entgegenkommen gezeigt wurde. Leider haben wir uns von den guten Bewertungen täuschen lassen. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen!

A nice and modern hotel to stay. The hotel is well located and the staff is very friendly. The only drawback is that there was only 1 cleaning in 7 days. So we had to ask for clean towels every day. Also, unfortunately, breakfast is not replenished, so sometimes there was nothing left 1 hour before the end of the breakfast.

The room was big.

We received a room with previous guests trash still in trashcans and a dirty toilet, which we cleaned by ourselves from some ***stripes. No problem the room was big and comfortable. There were some ants in the bathroom and the room was cleaned only once in our 4 nights stay. We had to go ask toilet paper from the reception couple of times. The breakfast was 7.30-10.30 but don't expect to have breakfast after 9 to 9.30, it will not be refilled. They will just tell you there's no more. So if you want anything to eat, be there early or hope there's no other guests in the hotel. We ended up buying some breakfast and instant coffee to our room from a local shop because you never knew if there were even coffee left at the hotel breakfast. The location is quite near the attractions, we did not mind climbing the hills but I would not reccomend if you are not ready to do some hiking. I also kind of liked the chaotic market street atmosphere. But that's not for everyone. Staff was polite.

Gute Lage

All was in range of our expectation during booking and in according with plans for short stay in Istanbul. The stuff was very polite and friendly. They all were so supportive with our luggage to store at our early arrival and late PM departure. The location is in bazar style traditional here environment but street is calm at night. 10-15 min approach to public transportation by walk and healthy 30 min to Sultanahmet.

1-2 compact stools would be good to have for longer stay. Breakfast is good enough but would recommend to adjust duration within 10:00 as with current 07:30-10:30 range there is a risk that a few high-calorie meals will end after 09;30 Subject to control anyway.

Clean room and bathroom. 5 minute walk from Metro station and close to Taksim Square. You have to get a code to enter hotel- make sure to write it down or put it into cellphone notes. Code received day before trip started. Not a very touristy street and it was quiet.

Positive: - the location: stores, restaurants, shopping opportunities and public stations nearby. - the personal at the reception was very friendly and supportive Negative: - the cleaning staff was not cleaning at all. Even though we requested several times at the reception to clean the rooms (like wiping the floor, cleaning the bathroom etc.), they did not clean it at all. - bed linen were dirty ... even though they were just freshly exchanged. Improvements: - the cleaning staff should definitely improve their standards in cleaning rooms of long-staying guests (like for 1 week) - there is dust at the corners, on the closets. - the bathroom should be cleaned every day. at least this is done by other hotels. - the breakfast was okay, but a little boring. In total it was a nice stay for the price.

スタッフがとても親切で過ごしやすいです。 ホテルは新しく、部屋もとてもきれいでした。 朝食のメニューは少し少な目ですがまったく問題ありません。 グランドバザール、ブルーモスクまでは徒歩20分弱と少し時間がかかりますが、十分に徒歩圏内で観光にも適していると思います。 周囲の環境が市場なので、日本の方にとっては少し臆することもあるかもしれませんが、治安は全く問題ないと感じました。 料金的にもとてもおすすめできますよ！

Hotel is good to stay . location is very good you can easily find good food and shopping area outside. Breakfast is good but they need to change menu every day. Hotel is new so it's clean .

Hotellet ligger veldig greit til. Vil si det er ca 10 min gange til hovedgata. Det er mange rimelige markeder rett utenfor hotellet. Stedet er trygt. På kveldtid flyter gata med søppel men rent igjen på morgenen. Ellers er hotellet som forventer 3 stjerner. Lite rom, mangler stol å sitte på. Frokosten er den samme hver dag. Enkelt . Trenger noe juice å tilby. Kun vann, te og kaffe.

It’s been a pleasure to stay in a hotel. It’s very convenient for shopping lovers and close to station. This hotel is near to Blue mosque, Hagia Sophia and Grand bazaar and some local wholesalers. Highly recommended

Hôtel sympa au centre d'une rue piétonne dont les prix sont abordables mieux qu'en ville dommage que la piscine n'existe pas et le petit-déjeuner manque chocolat au lait pour les enfants mais dans l'ensemble nous sommes satisfaits personnel de l'établissement femme de ménage très gentil

I recently stayed at Mahya Hotel in Istanbul for 8 days and had an exceptional experience. The staff Ali, Tariq & Okan were incredibly welcoming and attentive, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. Ali was very understanding and offered me and my husband an upgrade to a family room as our A/C was not working. The breakfast buffet was delicious and offered a variety and the hotel's amenities such as reliable Wi-Fi, were excellent. I highly recommend Mahya Hotel for anyone visiting Istanbul! It was a walking distance to the main attractions and bazaars and you get a great feel of the local culture and day to day living life style. Highly recommend staying at Mahya Hotel!

Room was clean, breakfast was good

The hotel is away from the centre and its associated attractions but in many ways this was a strength. The area was busy and noisy but I never felt unsafe even late at night. The staff were excellent and went out of their way to ensure I enjoyed my first visit to Istanbul. The hotel was also excellent value. Great complimentary breakfast and tea/coffee making facilities in the room. I would stay again and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to other travellers.

The hotel interior was nicely decorated. However, my room was facing the street and was remained quite loud until 11pm.

Situato in una via stretta e fatiscente , rumorosa con motocicli ed altri mezzi vecchi che vanno avanti e dietro, piena di negozi aperti fino a tarda sera, con spazzatura che si accumula alla sera nella strada e raccolta per fortuna al mattino, l' ingresso non sembra quello di un Hotel, ed ha scalini alti e scomodi, la struttura internamente e' buona come anche le camere, la vista dalle finestre si rivolge verso altre case e non e' delle migliori viste, gatti e gabbiani girano alla ricerca di cibo, ma questa e la normalità della città, per raggiungere la metropolitana occorre fare quasi un chilometro a piedi, idem per arrivare in centro a piedi, visto che il taxi è un delirio.L' aria condizionata secondo il mio parere non rinfresca bene, e la biancheria non sa di pulito anche se viene cambiata ogni giorno. La colazione è scadente, mancano succhi di frutta, il caffè, tè, e latte potrebbero essere distribuiti da apposite macchine automatiche, invece c'è solo latte freddo in un cartoccio e caffè che sembra acqua, ovviamente il tè e' buono.Il personale della reception tuttavia è gentile. Non lo consiglio per la zona né per le distanze dai luoghi turistici, anche se il costo e' stato accettabile.

This hotel surprised me very much. The room was really spacious and clean. The showers are new and it feels very cozy to be in the room. Okan the receptionist was very helpful since we arrived at the hotel. He helped us managing our trip back to the airport as well. The location of this hotel is perfect because it’s in the middle of everything so you can walk everywhere.

Very kind and helpful employees and receptionists! The breakfast is great and has a wide variety. They sometimes switch up breakfast items as well. The rooms were upgraded and modern, with really cool lock and cleaning request technology. Unfortunately there was a power outage on our street on our last day but thankfully there was still some emergency lights and water running. There are also ants that are common around the room on the floor even though we swapped to another room. They were very nice about our issue and switched us with no hesitation once there was an empty room. It wasn’t a huge issue and we managed to sleep comfortably.

Once I knew where I was the location was good. Breakfast is excellent. I led being part of a neighborhood and shopping and eating with mostly non tourists.

Excellent, central location close to old town and places to visit. Staff very helpful and flexible when changing street facing room to quieter, side room. Help given in planning boat tour, including drop off, and on departure, booking Havist bus to airport. Would use hotel again as an excellent location with friendly, helpful staff.

The hotel stay was very pleasant. The staff were lovely especially Ali and the lady who provided breakfast (our away from home Mama). We had 2 rooms with no issues. Staff couldn't do enough to accommodate any requests we had. All in all a lovely stay and would recommend.

New hotel with great location, about 1.5km from Hipodrom square, Hagia Sofia and The blue mosque. If you go there with car, there are garages nearby, as the hotel doesn't have parking lot.

Great service by the managers and staff of the hotel. They were particularly helpful when I had payment challenges, and I really appreciated that. Breakfast was on time and consistent. Clean hotel, with all facilities functional. They also effectively organized my arrival and departure trips to and from the airport. Will surely look forward to staying there again.

The rooms were renovated and quite spacious. Hotel was close to public transportation, breakfast was quite sufficient. the staff was friendly. I will definitely stay again.

The reviews on this property is what attracted me to stay here. The staff went far and above in aiding our stay. There was a mix up that was immediately corrected. English as a second language can interfere in getting the correct information. The manager was quick to straighten out our misunderstanding. The highlights for me were the cleanliness, 24 hour desk help, great breakfast and attentive staff. I would highly recommend this property to my friends.

Stayed there for 3 nights, SERVICE & ROOM: staff was very helping, they remained at beck and call during my stay. Rooms were bit smaller but very clean even then sufficient for two persons). Hot water and heating were working well. BREAKFAST: Fresh breakfast was available between 7am-10am. Menu includes Bread, Pancakes, Sausages, Boiled eggs, omelette, variety of cheese, butter, salads, olives, jam, honey, chocolate spread, Cereals, Coffee & Tea. AREA/LOCALITY: If someone is planning to explore Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Taksim it is a very good option at a good price. Tram, Metro and Airport Bus (Havaist Askaray Station) are at 15 minutes walk , So there is no need to book expensive cabs/taxis.

A wonderful place to stay close to many points of interest in Istanbul. You are about 15 minutes from the Blue Mosque and 12 minutes from Gran Bazaar by walking. Wonderful breakfast, friendly and welcoming staff, plenty of stores and restaurants near the hotel. If you are looking for a nice, quiet place to rest and be close some of the most popular things to do in Istanbul, you should book your stay at Mahya Hotel.
