Food was just okay. Housekeeping knocked o my door at 10:00 am expecting me to leave when check out was at 11:00, rude. Breakfasts was delivered late and was awful. Too expense for the sub par service staff. Staff needs a lot more training. They are trying to be a 4-5 star hotel and is mediocre at best not worth the cost.

We enjoyed the bar and the bar food. Our room was nice and clean Breakfast was delicious and our waitress was a delight!

The staff doesn’t communicate to each other when they switch shifts and overcharge me several times. Also, they tried to charge me for water. I didn’t drink.

Location was convenient to downtown and the new Abilene Heritage Square, public library, and Spark science building which are must-sees for anyone visiting Abilene.

I didn’t eat breakfast. A light dinner off the appetizer menu was excellent. Wendy st the hostess stand was warm and accommodating.

Newer facility still coming together with smooth operation of food service but working diligently to iron out the wrinkles.

The bathroom was not cleaned completely. The floor was dirty, especially around the base of the toilet. I questioned ever staying at this property for anything, if the room rate is more expensive. I WOULD NOT pay more for another nights stay at this property.

I can't express the kindness Ashley has shown. I wanted to give my daughter and son in-law this stay as a gift for them. They always give and barely receive. Ashley put them in the prettiest view and a little goodie from the hotel. People like this are hard to come by. This lady showed so much kindness. This hotel is so beautiful and the restaurant is the best. Thank you for such a nice stay.

I love Kaitlyn she reminds me of my sweet sweet grandmother she’s so nice and thoughtful, she helps me when I’m lost and confused and she just knows everything about this town.

Courtney and Aubrey are professional and friendly you can talk to them as if you’ve known them since elementary days it’s nice knowing you can come here relax talk as if your friends and they give you everything you need, no other place I’d rather be than the double tree, they treat you like family here and everyone loves it

Only problem? I wanted to stay longer!. My room was spotles, quiet, and super comfortable, with a great bed and plenty of space to spread out and actually relax. Technology was awesome too! The staff were fantastic the whole time. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, helpful, and seemed to actually care that guests were having a good stay. Any little question or request was handled quickly and with a great attitude, which honestly makes a huge differnce. Bartender's habinero old fashioned - wow The lobby looked festive and classy, not cheesy—beautiful tree, tasteful lights, and little touches all around that made it feel cozy and special for the holidays. It really set the mood every time I walked back in. Overall, this is a place I’d gladly stay at again. Great rooms, awesome staff, and holiday decor that really makes it feel above the usual chain hotel experience.

The front desk attendants were so nice and helpful and they gave us a warm cookie. The beds were super comfy. The room had a nice view and we loved the rooftop pool. The breakfast food was so good. Will stay again. I think it’s the best hotel in Abilene to stay at.

Frances and all the staff made our stay at the Abilene Doubletree comfortable and enjoyable. This is a great location close to the hospital. Enjoyed an excellent breakfast each day with Christie, our server. Room was very quiet. Valet staff very helpful. We recommend the Beehive restaurant which is in walking distance.

Large modern hotel next to the convention centre and a few minutes walk from downtown bars and restaurants. Spacious room, comfortable bed and super helpful reception staff.

We had an amazing evening staying at this beautiful hotel. We did dinner and cocktails at the bar and it was some of the most delicious food ever. Thanks to Rob for the best lemon martini. Sam and Frances provided super star front desk service; especially after my 3rd trip to the front desk for warm house cookies.

Ashley O. did a phenomenal job at assisting us with our stay. She was first class and was tremendous at fixing a big problem that we had with our reservation. Her hospitality along with the rest of the staff is why we will always stay at DT when we come visit our family in Abilene.

Rob is amazing!! Great conversation and mixed drinks. His experience in mixology helped elevate my drinking experience, and I will come again.

Rob was impeccable, his expertise with spirits is matched only by his engaging conversation. I had an absolute blast with friends and Rob’s recommendation only made the experience better. 10/10

Great place and great service. My husband had just had surgery and we really needed to be at a meeting. The hotel was sold out and it was really busy. Samantha helped us get an early check in so he could be in a room between the meetings. Samantha went above and beyond what was expected.

Trevor at the bar was FABULOUS!!!! He was so attentive and kind. He was able to replace our original bar tender Macy who had SUCH a poor customer service base. We were very close to just leaving, and when Trevor stepped in he saved the business we were contributing. I expressed my disappointment with Macy to the front desk attendant Hannah and she was super understanding and ask how she could make the stay better. I simply told her by speaking to her so someone else did not have the same experience. I advised we have been here since Sunday night, and this evening was one of the worse nights because of Macy. The room/house keeping could use some work. The trash was never emptied, the towels were folded, they did not replace coffee cups, pods, or wipe down the counters as previous stays have completed. The stay over all was nice, mostly because I’m not a very messy person. I made the bed myself and kept the room clean, it simply would have been nice to have the coffee cups replaced for the next mornings coffee brew and the make up towelettes replaced also. Yes they are complimentary- understandable. However, for the amount of financial compensation to stay at the hotel it’s minor “adjustments” that would have been better.

Kaitlyn made us delicious, original drinks and stellar service! We will be back soon! The Doubletree is a fun staycation.

Frances is an excellent front office manager. She is very polite and down to earth individual. She knows how to take care of guests. Truly an asset for Hilton.

Samantha at the front desk was fantastic. I needed a specification printed for a key meeting. Samantha helped and stapled ten copies for me with a great attitude and a spirit of support. As a Diamond member who stays at many Hiltons - Samantha is one of the best ever. Thanks for making my day better.

Stayed at the DoubleTree in downtown Abilene and had a great experience. The hotel is modern, clean, and in a perfect location for walking to restaurants and downtown spots. The staff was friendly and accommodating throughout my stay, and the room was spotless and comfortable. Definitely one of the nicer hotels in West Texas — I’d stay here again without hesitation.

This hotel is lit. The customer service is off the chain. Especially Caleb, Jacquelyn and Ashley. Dont get me started about Frances. I seen a greater leader of humans in my entire life. I will stay at another again.

Property is impressive for such a small town. Clean, high end and great restaurant/bar. Only downside is the general parking and Valet parking are in a padded parking lot across the street. I would expect secure underground parking for a property of this caliber.

Major shoutout to Hannah and Frances for their excellent customer service and hospitality. They truly went above and beyond making my trip seamless and will be the reason I come back!! They both deserve a promotion and should be the model for all front desk staff.

Great bar vibe, classy cocktails and extensive bourbon list. The bartenders Kaitlyn and Aubrey are class acts! Courtney and Macy rock the busy bar all under David’s outstanding leadership. You you David and team for providing such an amazing experience and well-crafted cocktails!

There was confusion as to if the hotel allowed a visiting football team to delay check-out to 3:30-4 or if they just stayed. We were told our rooms would be ready between 2-3, closer to 3. Which was fine, but we did not actually get into our room until 5.

This property is great! It’s always clean and perfect for travelers. Samantha at the front desk is accommodating and made my sure I had everything I needed.

Check in was almost two hours delayed. No excuse. The rooms weren't thoroughly cleaned because house keeping had to rush. Restaurant was not great, out of basics like whipped cream.

I stayed here previously in 2024, and l was very impressed. I left a very positive review because I really enjoyed my stay. So of course I came back the next time I needed a hotel in Abilene. This experience couldn't have been more different. To avoid writing an entire book, I'll just make a list: - I was unable to check in on the Hilton Honors app - Employees at the front desk were distracted, unprofessional, and unhelpful - even though the lobby was completely empty. I was the only one there, and the two of them couldn't seem to be bothered to help me. - My room wasn't available. I asked for an upgrade as a Hilton Honors gold member, they seemed confused like I was speaking a new language. They gave me a "similar room" on the same floor. - My room was half the size of the room on my previous stay. The AC was off in August. The room was unprepared, there were paint drippings all over the furniture. The desk/table and chairs (that looked like it was bought at a garage sale) were crammed into the corner by the window. There was also a cheap looking floor mat crumpled up in the middle of the room. I'm sorry I know I'm at the Abilene Doubletree and not the Waldorf Astoria, but what in the world? Cheap plastic toy furniture? - No time in my schedule to ask for a new room, so I dropped off my stuff, turned on the AC, and left. - Got back to the hotel at 12:45am, and couldn't get in to the building. Had to stand outside the front entrance and knock on the glass until someone came out to let me in. They were very annoyed that I dare come back to the hotel so late. Again, what in the world? - There was shampoo spilled all over the shower floor. The mattresses felt like concrete, the plugs for the phone/computer charger didn't work. - I was supposed to get a $15 food credit as a gold member. Staff had no idea what that meant. - Instead of room upgrade, somehow I got a room downgrade. - App didn't work the whole time I was there. I rarely use key cards, I just use my phone to get in/out of the room. They couldn't figure that out. - The pool was smaller than a typical residential pool - No response to room requests or acknowledgement of what a Hilton Honors member even means. - Room I was given was in the far back corner of the hotel. The hallway was blocked by multiple maintenance carts every time I arrived/left. Not just in the way, but completely blocking the hallway. - I didn't see or hear another guest until I was checking out. How exactly is this the level of service offered when there's no way they could have been busy. I've been staying in Hilton Hotels almost exclusively for years. This experience was enough. I'm about to book a hotel this weekend for another short trip. Marriott, here I come.

Frances at the front desk in DoubleTree Downtown Abilene made my stay truly exceptional. I arrived about an hour and a half before the normal check-in time, and she went above and beyond by checking for availability, finding me a room, and letting me check in early at no extra charge. Since I was really hungry, I asked about the kitchen hours. When Frances realized it was about to close, she offered to hold my luggage so I could grab a meal right away (I had less than 30 minutes before closing!). She was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and genuinely kind. Frances is hands down one of the best front desk staff I’ve ever met. DoubleTree Downtown Abilene truly has a rare gem on their team.

When we can catch a good deal here, this is our favorite and go to hotel when visiting our son at ACU. It’s clean, comfortable, beautiful, and has a fabulous pool and gym. The staff is wonderful too!

This is a fantastic hotel! New, modern, & very clean. The food at the restaurant is below average though. I’ve eaten there twice but won’t again. Kudos to Frances at the front desk. Her people skills are great! She was professional & friendly.

I was helping my brother move my niece to Abilene for her new job. We stayed at this wonderful hotel, and the staff was wonderful. A special shout out to Frances who was so so friendly and helpful. Very welcoming. This is a super nice hotel.

The restaurant has some really amazing choices and even on a limited diet I am always able to find something that I can really enjoy. The wait stop seems to really care about their product and about the experience that I have in their establishment.
