It’s a real Hanok guesthouse, very Korean and old-world, nice ceiling and wood construction, peaceful and beautiful courtyard, sparsely furnished in the old style but with tv, Wi-Fi, small basic bathroom with normal toilet. Sleep on the floor like real Koreans, but there are also thin mattresses in each room if it’s too much. Short walk to all old town sights and restaurants. No frills, but fun and high value. Take taxi from train station - too far to walk. Property’s kitchen is available to guests.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026It's very beautiful, picture perfect, and the location is fantastic. Room sizes were big and the AC worked well, which was welcome because summer in Korea is so hot and humid. Parking wasn't available onsite (we knew in advance) but a short walk away in a paid public car park, which you can get a 50% discount on by showing your booking reservation (only 7000 Won). Staff were really friendly.
The 'beds'. I knew and expected Futons but they're essentially a couple of thin blankets, one below and one on top, on a hard floor. I'm glad we only stayed one night, if that's how people sleep normally they must lead really miserable lives. After the worst nights sleep on our entire Korea trip, we left really early as my back couldn't take any more.

Une raclette pourrait être utile afin de pouvoir racler l’eau de la salle de bain après la douche. On peut sentir beaucoup les ressorts du matelas dans la chambre pour 2 personnes. Dans la plus grande chambre, nous avons testé les futons au sol comme les vrais coréens ! Pas évident pour des nord américains comme nous mais nous avons quand même apprécié l’expérience, c’est ce que nous recherchions!

He prepared us for possible noise, as the walls are thin, but we were happy as our neighbors were quiet. Also sleeping on a mat wasn't too bad. I would definitely recommend.

Reviewed Jun 12, 2026Abbiamo passato solo una notta in questo hanok, posizionato in pieno centro di Jeonju. L'hanok è molto ricco di fascino, la stanza piccola ma dotata di ogni confort e il letto è il tradizionale letto alla coreana per terra. Il giardino è davvero grazioso e piacevole. La struttura si trova i pieno centro, a due passi dai musei e monumenti principali. Quello che pero' abbiamo decisamente apprezzato di più è stato il proprietario che ci ha datto un sacco di buoni consigli per esplorare Jeonju e gustare le bontà locali con un'attenzione particolare alle nostre abitudini vegetariane. Davvero una bella esperienza!
Il letto è tradizionale, ovvero lo yo che si posa direttamente sul pavimento. A noi non ha arrecato fastidio, anzi ha aggiunto fascino all'esperienza. Ma se avete difficoltà a dormire per terra dovreste prendere questa cosa in considerazione.

The host explained the concept very well and also recommended the best restaurants and activities in town. He also mentioned that there's a extra matress if sleeping on the floor is unbearable.
It was tough sleeping on the floor, and maybe it would have been better with only one night. The extra matress was only 90 wide, which is a bit small for 2 people.

Reviewed Apr 27, 2026Location is central towards the touristy part of town, walkable distance to the two main streets with food and stores. Very calm, I liked the little yard at the property.
Bathroom is unsafe to use, there is a power outlet in the wet zone. We didn’t feel like we could shower there. Otherwise sleeping on the floor was harsher than we anticipated. I wouldn’t recommend spending here more than 1-2 nights.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026The location was excellent as it is in the middle of the village. The experience of sleeping in a Hanok was also really good, we felt really immersed in the ancient Korea. The room had all the basics. There is a small kitchen in which there was fruit, coffee, bread, jam, tea, eggs and cherry tomatoes to have for breakfast! The staff was helpful via whatsapp, checking we got the right location and that we managed our way into our room (we arrived at night). They kept our luggage after checkout while we went wandering around.

L'absence d'une bouilloire pour se faire au moins un thé...

The courtyard area is in need of maintenance and repairs as it should be an inviting area to use.

We only stayed there for a night, so the hard floor is manageable. It's an experience for sure so need to be prepared for it as it's a different style than the tatami. We didn't get to try the breakfast because we had to check out early. The host was very helpful and gave us some recommendations for places to visit and eat in the city which was nice.

Reviewed Sep 17, 2025If you're looking for a hanok for one or two nights, look no further! At first, I was overwhelmed by the number of hanoks available in Jeonju. This one is perfect, with flexible check-in. The staff are very friendly and will explain what to do here so you don't waste any time. The room is clean and well appointed. Netflix is available on the TV, which is a real plus for relaxing in the evening! The bathroom is clean and functional, with the best shower I've had in Korea after a month of traveling—the water temperature doesn't change constantly! For the bed, I recommend getting the mattress at the top of the stairs, and you'll be all set! Wifi very good too ! You can also leave your luggage after check-out.

Reviewed Sep 7, 2025The manager was Incredibly friendly and helpful. Recommended amazing restaurants. The Hanok is in a beautiful setting and totally central. A great experience for a couple of nights.
The coffee machine didn't work and the breakfast in general was very basic but really not an issue as there are great coffee places all over Korea.

Está incluido el desayuno, pero es escaso, de supervivencia, vas a la nevera y coges lo que te dejan que es pan Bimbo, mermelada y tomates cherry, no había nada más, yo no pondría que está incluido puesto que no desayunas como tal

Reviewed Aug 19, 2025Una experiencia fantastica entendiendo que es un Hanok, ósea dormiras en el suelo. Tiene su propio baño la habitacion y aire acondicionado, que funciona muy bien. la recepción fué muy buena, muy simpatico y amable y nos recomendó cosas.
Es algo pequeña la habitacion si vas con maleta grande, pero es así como eran los Hanoks, no diría que es algo malo. Tu vas por la experiencia de dormir en un Hanok y eso estuvo bien

Reviewed Aug 15, 2025La posizione comodissima per visitare il villaggio hanok muovendosi a piedi. Lo staff è stato molto gentile, spiegando tutto il necessario e dandoci consigli per la visita della città. La camera era pulita e dormire sul futon è un’esperienza da provare!
La camera era molto piccola. Probabilmente un mobiletto avrebbe aiutato ad appoggiare qualche oggetto.
