This place is a true gem, you find yourself in the middle of paradise, sorrounded by such beautiful nature. The villas are eqiupped with everything you could need with such an attention to details. The pool and the sauna with the panorama window is breathtaking. We’ve travelled a lot but have never stayed at a such a beatiful, comfortable, relaxing place. Maria and Marco are also amazing hosts, they made sure we feel at home and have everything we need. They also hosted a dinner that made our experience even more memorable. The wines they produce locally are also super high quality. We will definitely come back here. The villas are also located in a way that everyone has privacy and can enjoy the nature. In a short walking distance you can explore a wonderful black sand beach and amazing forests.

Établissement haut de gamme, l’emplacement au nord de l’île dans la nature est incroyable. Les prestations de l’établissement étaient top (pique nique, dîner, petit déjeuner, matériel à disposition)

This hotel is surrounded by nature and far away from the noise and crowds. If you are looking for a peaceful place to spend some time with yourself and truly relax, it is an excellent choice. The staff is very friendly, and I enjoyed my stay very much. Everything met my expectations. The only small downside is that if you want to go out for dinner in the evening, having a car is almost necessary, as the nearest restaurant is about a 10-minute drive away. However, this is only a minor detail compared to the many advantages this place offers. Overall, I highly recommend it for anyone seeking tranquility, beautiful natural surroundings, and a relaxing stay. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Un endroit magnifique au calme. Les chambres sont de grandes suites magnifiquement décorées avec un coin salon et une cuisine bien pratique. La vue est superbe et plusieurs randonnées sont possibles au départ de l’hôtel. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le petit déjeuner à la carte à se préparer soi-même avec les ingrédients livrés majoritairement faits maison (comme le pain délicieux). L’accueil est charmant.

C’est un avantage et un inconvénient mais l’hôtel est isolé ce qui signifie que vous devriez soit manger sur place, soit prendre votre voiture. Nous avons été gênés par 2 choses : l’absence de porte a la salle de bain où se trouvent les wc et le fait que nous avons eu froid la première nuit car il y a une aération toujours ouverte dans la salle de bain. Ensuite on nous a fourni un chauffage et une couverture supplémentaire et cela c’est bien arrangé.

Omgivelsene, utsikten, frokosten helt perfekt å kunne lage den selv når man ønsket, gode senger. Komforten og stedet veide opp for veldig dårlig vær.

We enjoyed everything! The atmosphere was wonderfully relaxed and private, the wines were excellent, and Monday’s family dinner with Maria, Marco, and the other guests was a highlight.

Super abwechslungsreiches Frühstück, tolle Atmosphere. Location von Pool und Sauna ist einzigartig. Gastgeber waren super nett und das Dinner mit den Gastgebern war ein tolles Erlebnis.

What can we say that others haven’t already. This is a truly special place with wonderful hosts Maria and Marco. The layout of the villas and the design are exceptional. The pool and sauna area are in a unique and wonderful setting. The location and tranquility of the place is perfect. Really easy to get to and things to do on the door step or a quick car drive away. Nearly forgot to mention the wine….! Maria and Marco are clearly very passionate about the wine and quite rightly. We had a wonderful tasting experience which is enhanced by the wonderful setting. Treat yourself and spend some time here.

C’est un endroit magnifique avec des hôtes incroyablement accueillants. Les villas sont situées à bonne distance les unes des autres, ce qui donne l’impression d’être seul au milieu des vignes. La vue est à couper le souffle. La villa est parfaite, aussi bien du point de vue architectural que de l’équipement (il y a tout le nécessaire). Nous avons passé une semaine inoubliable et prévoyons d’y revenir un jour.

Everything was amazing — true quiet luxury! The host was wonderful, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. We definitely recommend this place! The extras are absolutely worth it — the octopus was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted before. Hopefully, we’ll be back again soon!

It was a bit disappointing that the sauna wasn’t working due to external electrical issues, but the host was incredibly kind and handled it so well — it really wasn’t something they could control!

Pour notre fin de séjour à Madère, nous avons choisi le nord de l'île et la magnifique propriété de Marco et Maria. Tout etait parfait: le cadre, la villa, les matériaux utilisés, le jardin des thés, le petit-déjeuner...Tout est fait pour qu'on profite un maximum de nos vacances. Nous avons apprécié l'hospitalité de Marco et Maria et de leurs employés. Ils ont fait l'effort de nous parler en français et malgré le fait que nous n'ayions pas pu profiter du repas

Prachtig verblijf, zowel buiten als binnen. Mooi ontbijt op eigen tempo. Eigenaars zijn zeer vriendelijk en doen er alles aan om je een fantastische ervaring te bieden. Zwembad zou misschien nog een graadje warmer mogen gezien het niet heel warm was buiten.

Wer eine außergewöhnliche Location sucht, ist hier genau richtig! Sehr nette Gastgeber, die einem alles rund um die Villas und die weiteren Annehmlichkeiten hilfsbereit erklären. Die Villa ist traumhaft, fantastischer Blick, extreme Ruhe, ein Bach rauscht im Tal zwischen den beiden Bergen, toller Pool und Sauna mit wunderbarem Blick. Jedes hast ist sehr schön eingerichtet und an jedes Detail wurde gedacht. Der angebotene Service ist erstklassig. Jeder der Ruhe und ein exklusives Ambiente sucht, ist hier genau richtig!

I loved everything about Terrabona - it far exceeded my expectations. I loved the dinner & wine with the owners & the guests & hearijg all.about the wine. There is a maximum of 6 guests at the property at any time so it was like a small dinner with friends. I LOVED the architecture of the villa and how everything was laid out. One of my favorite things was waiting for my fresh bread at 8.30 - such a lovely experience to have it delivered to my door. Having breakfast with that view...amazing. I also did not expect so much food to be provided - it was wonderful to have the fresh fruit, ham and cheeses and of course the caramel & honey & jams. I love good nafural yogurt so Maria's homemade one was amazing! It was lovely to have a few supplies like pasta and some ingredients to make and simple meal. I ended up not using them but it was a great idea just in case. I loved the big outside "beanbag' sofa - I don't know what you call it but it was wonderful for my sore back to lie on it and relax....especially at night to watch the stars. I even tried the beautiful pool, even though it was a bit chilly. The sauna afterwards was also lovely and the big window inside was extra special. Emaunual & Nivala were so kind and friendly as hosts. Maria & Marco have thought of every small detail to make staying at Terrabona a fabulous experience. Within a short distance are some great walks/hikes and restaurants and a small shop. I hope to visit again soon.

The villa we stayed in was impeccably stylish and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed, plus delightful extra touches that elevated our experience. From a selection of pillows to cater to personal preferences, to a portable Wi-Fi speaker perfect for use indoors or down by the pool, and natural oils that made every bath feel like a spa experience, no detail was overlooked. The infinity pool and sauna were pure indulgence, providing the perfect way to unwind at the end of each day. We were fortunate to enjoy these amenities privately every time, which made the experience feel even more special. The peace and quiet of the surroundings ensured restful, rejuvenating sleep, and it often felt as though we had the entire place to ourselves. Maria and Marco were outstanding hosts, balancing easy communication with a warm, welcoming touch that made us feel instantly at home. Their thoughtfulness and attention to detail further enhanced our stay, making it even more memorable. We wholeheartedly recommend Terrabona Vineyard to anyone considering a visit – it’s an experience not to be missed. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

What a fantastic place. If you are looking for a special spot in Madeira to call home for a few nights, this is it. Marco and Maria were incredibly gracious and accommodating hosts and the food they cook is delicious! The location is also superb, with stunning views and a very private feeling. The amenities are also top notch (we loved the cliffside infinity pool and sauna!!). You will leave feeling rejuvenated and wanting to come back for more! Highly recommended

Upon entering the property we were greeted warmly by our hosts Marco and Maria with a glass of their finest wine. We never stayed in a working vineyard and were enamored by the attention to detail in the Villas and how much privacy we were able to enjoy. We had the best table in the house as we were able too cook our own meals and really enjoyed the fresh bread delivery every a.m. The views, pool and location to the mountains and Sea were convenient for all the hiking we could handle. Lastly the dinner we were served on Wednesday nights, make worth checking in for the week. The wine was fantastic and we cannot say enough about Terrabona Nature Wellness retreat, you just have to experience it for yourselves.. Sauod!

We recently stayed here in late October 2023 for five nights (Sunday-Friday) and had a wonderful time. This is a very special place. If you really want to immerse yourself in the nature of Madeira, Terrabonna will not disappoint. Marco and Maria and their staff (Emmanuel is great!) are terrific hosts. Their love for what they do comes through in everything here…the luxurious eco-conscious approach, the little touches and their care of their guests. We especially enjoyed the hosted-dinner…wish they offered more (perhaps two a week?). The villas are comfortable and very private. The scenery is magical. You do need a car and the final drive into the location takes getting used to (we arrived in the dark and it was raining hard so that made it more challenging)…but so worth it. Excellent white wines too! I recommend this to anyone considering a trip to Madeira, who wants to disconnect from city life and recharge in the gorgeous mountains on this vineyard.

We had the privilege of joining Marco, Maria, and other guests for dinner and wine tastings. The cuisine was exceptional, and the family-like atmosphere made for delightful evenings. What truly sets Terrabona apart is its remarkable staff. They are not only professional and attentive but also warm-hearted individuals who go above and beyond to ensure a perfect stay. Words cannot describe the amazing experience we’ve had. The winery/resort is situated in a beautiful valley with views of the mountains and sea. Marco and Maria were wonderful hosts and went above and beyond to make sure that we are comfortable and happy. Their attention to details is remarkable and seen throughout the winery and accommodations. The accommodations were very comfortable and tastefully decorated with everything we needed. If you’re planning a visit to Madeira, which I highly recommend, I also highly recommend you to stay here. You are guaranteed a wonderful time.
