Hotel Isabella's Llafranc

Outstanding location - right on the beach. Worth paying the extra for sea view balcony. Nice breakfasts. Llafranc (and surrounding coastline) is a beautiful place with plenty to offer. First week of September meant less crowds too which was great.

It took a while to get the hang of the shower controls, and the water temp was inconsistent.

Posizione eccezionale, fronte spiaggia. C'è solo da attraversare una piccola strada pedonale. Vista mare dalla stanza, come richiesto alla prenotazione. Tutto perfettamente funzionante, compreso il parcheggio a prezzo più che corretto in area chiusa recintata a pochi passi dall'hotel. Colazione eccezionale, sia come quantità che -soprattutto - come qualità, comoresi i prodotti glutenfree per mia moglie. Tocco finale: ristrorante più che ottimo a prezzo adeguato alla qualità sia del cibo che del servizio.

Nulla. Tutto è stato come da attese e, per taluni aspetti, anche meglio.

La ubicación es estupenda, justo delante de la playa de Llafranc. El hotel está decorado con gusto, sobre todo el comedor. Es un buen detalle que haya agua, café, dulces y fruta gratuitos. También que faciliten botellas de agua. El desayuno fue lo mejor de la estancia. Muy bueno, muy completo y un día trabajador tuvo el detalle de espumarme la leche porque la cafetera no lo hacía. Camas cómodas.

Cuando llegamos al hotel, pasadas las 20:00 (mucho después de la hora de check in de las 15:00 y por tanto con tiempo más que suficiente)no había toallas de ducha. Tuvimos que pedirlas y las trajeron muy rápido. Pero es que después vimos que el bote de acondicionador incrustado en la pared de la ducha de pelo estaba roto y vacío. La television (de un tamaño ridículamente pequeño y no smart TV) solo emitía un canal, uno infantil de TV3. Uno de los colgadores de la ducha faltaba y quedaba la marca en la puerta (esto es lo de menos pero es un detalle más feo). Avisamos a recepción y dijeron que tomaban nota. Pero al día siguiente no habían hecho nada y volvimos a avisar. Tampoco hicieron nada y compramos acondicionador en un supermercado cercano. La habitación es muy pequeña para un hotel de esta categoría.

no towels available for the beach after 11.30am - they did not provide any solution, not even to give us normal towels. breakfast = very cheap coffee that you have to make yourself, with the machine broken on both days. always very very DIRTY. I will not go back, not worth the price at all.

Obviously the sea front location is unbeatable! Staff were 80% friendly and accommodating Breakfast was 100% awesome

Staff were sometimes clearly under pressure especially at shift change and getting ready for the evening rush. We felt awkward asking for pre-dinner drinks and were sometimes made to feel unwelcome. There was very little space for relaxation outside of the room or restaurant area for chat/playing cards/reading etc..

Superb view. Delicious breakfast. Excellent reception staff. One exceedingly courteous and thoughtful restaurant waiter at Friday breakfast.

Saturday's breakfast team didn't make much effort to clear tables and replenish the buffet or coffee cups. A shame as the rest of the staff were super.

También queremos agradecer la atención que recibimos en el restaurante con el tema de **nuestras alergias**, algo que siempre nos genera bastante miedo y preocupación cuando viajamos. En este caso nos sentimos escuchados, seguros y muy tranquilos, ya que estuvieron pendientes de nosotros y nos ayudaron en todo momento. Room was very nice with small but adequate balcony.

Bathroom was in need of significant updating - no walk-in shower, had to climb over the bath. Breakfast was very ordinary with not much choice - only scrambled egg and bacon looked as though it had seen better days.

El staff de recepción fue increíble, siempre atentos y dispuestos a ayudarnos , La habitación, muy limpia y cómoda. La localización privilegiada que tiene Isabel’s Llafranc te permite disfrutar de unas vistas espectaculares de la playa desde la propia habitación.

L’hotel si trova in una posizione davvero meravigliosa, proprio di fronte alla spiaggia di Llafranc. La camera è molto carina e accogliente e abbiamo apprezzato particolarmente la colazione, di ottima qualità e davvero molto buona.

Purtroppo, però, durante il soggiorno abbiamo riscontrato diversi problemi che, considerando il prezzo piuttosto elevato, ci hanno lasciato molto delusi. Già al nostro arrivo abbiamo avvertito una forte e molto fastidiosa vibrazione proveniente dal pavimento. Abbiamo chiamato la reception e ci è stato spiegato che proveniva dall’aria condizionata del ristorante. Fortunatamente il problema è stato risolto spegnendola. Nei giorni successivi abbiamo poi iniziato ad avere problemi con l’elettricità: la luce si spegneva e si riaccendeva continuamente. Inizialmente ci è stato detto che si trattava di un problema di tutta la strada, ma successivamente abbiamo capito che il problema riguardava in realtà l’hotel. La seconda sera è stato quindi praticamente impossibile utilizzare anche il phon. Il terzo giorno, invece, l’aria condizionata ha smesso completamente di funzionare e abbiamo dovuto dormire senza, cosa che, considerando le temperature, ci ha impedito di riposare bene. In generale, la camera avrebbe bisogno di maggiore manutenzione e cura. Abbiamo trovato muffa sul soffitto del bagno e anche sulla bocchetta dell’aria condizionata, cosa che in una struttura di questo livello non ci aspetteremmo. Inoltre, provenivano molti rumori dal ristorante, e abbiamo avuto la sensazione di una certa disorganizzazione e confusione anche all’interno del personale. Riconosciamo sicuramente i punti di forza dell’hotel: la posizione è eccezionale, la camera è piacevole e la colazione è davvero ottima. Tuttavia, per il prezzo molto alto che abbiamo pagato, ci aspettavamo un livello di servizio, manutenzione e organizzazione decisamente superiore. Fortunatamente, vista la quantità di disagi riscontrati, una parte dell’importo del soggiorno ci è stata restituita. Nel complesso, abbiamo avuto la sensazione che ci sia molta attenzione alla massimizzazione dei ricavi, mentre manutenzione e cura della struttura sembrano passare in secondo piano.

El ruido del restaurante del hotel, muy fuerte hasta altas horas de la madrugada que no deja descansar, deberían ser tajantes como en otros países y cerrar como máximo a las 12h para permitir dejar dormir a los huéspedes, es importante.

Segurament no hem tingut sort. Problemes amb la màquina de cafè i a l'hora d'obrir no estaven posades totes les viandes.

L'habitació molt petita i just d'amunt de la cuina. Vàrem anar a sopar una nit i van trigar 25 minuts en portar els primers plats (gaspatxo i una amanida verda) i 25 minuts més per els segons. Ja no vàrem demanar postres i no hi vam tornar més. La neteja de l'habitació li feien tard, el pitxor dia a les 16'30 encara no estava feta.

Le falta mucho mantenimiento. Las fotos no reflejan la realidad. Los tapizados están viejos y raídos. La idea estuvo bien en su momento xq se nota q hubo alguien q pensó bien los interiores, pero quedaron sin mantenimiento y no está bueno. Había mucho olor a humedad en la habitación también.

Unser Zimmer mit eigenem Pool war traumhaft schön. Auch das Frühstück war sehr gut. Besonders ist auch die Lage des Hotels direkt am Strand. Positiv für uns war auch, dass ein Parkplatz vorhanden war.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Lovely touches like tea coffee snack station on each floor and stunning view. The restuarant was a great hub of the hotel, excellent breakfast!

Location, front of house staff, parking option, views from our seafront room. Very good breakfast and drink making facilities on each floor of the hotel. Welcome glass of Cava on arrival was a nice touch.

Very expensive for what we had vis a vis many other hotels in prime positions . We had a front suite. Restaurant food was tasty but lukewarm warm. Our toilet seat was hanging off which is pretty dreadful for what we paid.

Door een vergissing op foutieve datum geboekt. Toen ik hier achter kwam gevraagd voor een nieuwe reservatie waarbij toch tenminste een korting kregen. Ze doen totaal geen moeite. Wij hebben voor 5 personen ontbijt betaald maar waren niet aanwezig. Het is totaal niet klantvriendelijk om niet even mee een oplossing te bedenken. Nu zijn wij het volledige reisbedrag kwijt. Ik versta jullie niet commerciële houding echt niet.

Teníamos habitación Suite Junior con.vistas al mar y la piscina del balcon tenía el agua sucia. Aunque avisamos a recepción, no consiguieron mejorar el estado del agua. Una pena, porque no pudimos disfrutarla. Aún así, fueron muy comprensivos con nuestra situación y tuvieron un "gesto" con nosotros por los inconvenientes. Es de agrafecer, la verdad!

Everything was great. Stylish and comfortable room, right on the beach, delicious breakfast. Particularly liked free chilled water and coffee all day. And as a very nice gesture we had a free bottle of Cava in the room. Perfect stay.

Zéér fijn hotel op prachtige locatie, heerlijk ontbijt en eten in het restaurant, zeer vriendelijk personeel (in bijzonder Aldo & de dames aan het ontbijt).

Enige minpuntje is de beperkte waterdruk op de douche waardoor de temperatuur niet goed te regelen is. Voor de rest: top!

La douche manquait de pression. Le restaurant attenant est quelque peu onéreux par rapport aux plats proposés et le personnel un peu trop présent.

Absolutely lovely stay at Isabella’s! I’m confused at some of the negative reviews of this place. The hotel and restaurant are probably the best in the town of Llafranc. The room was perfectly comfortable, large, a beautiful sea view with balcony, and incredible black out curtains (a must for me in a hotel). The breakfast buffet was EXCELLENT, and the dinners at the restaurant were a highlight of the trip.

Honestly nothing. It’s a beach hotel in a small town, so I wouldn’t expect the Four Seasons, but it has everything you need for a cute, aesthetic little beach town!

Además, la cocina del restaurante también es espléndida, al igual que el desayuno, variado y de calidad. Pero sin duda, lo más destacable, es la amabilidad del personal. This hotel is the perfect place for a romantic stay. There were some surprises in the room for us and the staff was very friendly with amazing service. Special thanks to Tianna for her kind upgrade to a room with sea view! :)

Desayuno espectacular y ubicación

Loved the location of the hotel - beachfront, and the beginning of several trails for hiking. The staff were exceptional! They were super friendly and really would like to reward them for their hospitality. The restaurant at the hotel was great for breakfast (a nice offer with the hotel booking) and lunch (loved my pasta with lobster)! The Isabella Group is a restaurant chain with locations throughout Spain, so the food was nothing short of awesome! The hotel has potential!! The room size was great for lounging and roominess. We had a balcony overlooking the sea. The beds were super comfy!!

There was no cold water pressure, so the showers were not so great. We could barely turn on the hot water (which had pressure) because the water would be scalding hot. We told the staff, and no one came to fix it. The rooms were a nice size, but they need a facelift. It felt like the restaurateur group decided to do a hotel but never maintained it... for example, they still have a 1970s-style air conditioner that didn't work and blew hot air. The bed headboard needs a good shampoo cleaning. They have drill-bit holes that they just plastered over to hide, but they still show in the bathroom. This hotel has potential, but needs a spring cleaning and a facelift. Also, the wifi sucks! They need to upgrade their wifi. We did let the staff know when we checked out that they need a good maintenance.

Lo mejor la ubicación, las vistas, el desayuno y el personal. Todas las chicas de recepción y del desayuno un diez en todo. Estan pendientes para hacerlo todo facil y son eficientes y encantadoras. El restaurante aunque la comida esta bien, lo encuentro algo caro comparado con otros de la zona de calidad similar.

Quizás lo que menos nos ha gustado ha sido el baño de la habitación. Era un poco pequeño y la bañera/ducha era un poco incomoda.

El hotel , en todas las partes comunes como recepción ,baños y restaurante olía a humo que se hacía muy desagradable. Las habitaciones , el ascensor y pasillos olían muchísimo a humedad el cual hizo muy molesto el dormir y además íbamos con niños . La ducha apenas salía un chorro de agua que era un hilo que no pudimos bañar a los niños ni si quiera.

Personnel très accueillant, de délicate attention dans la chambre. L’emplacement parfait, une chambre propre, une vue superbe sur la mer. Un petit déjeuner, avec un large choix.

Sur l’application, cela est noté que la piscine est chauffée. Hors pas du tout, la piscine était complètement froide. Mais le personnel nous a proposé une alternative dès notre arrivée en nous prévenant de cela.
