Le service déplorable , pas au niveau d un hôtel à ce prix
The setting was beautiful & the quality of the food was good
The service did not match the price point - it was impersonal & perfunctory.
The exterior, the architecture and the calm atmosphere.
Unfortunately, the level of service did not meet the standards expected from a five-star hotel, especially considering the price per night. The hotel itself is beautiful, but our overall experience was quite difficult and disappointing. Upon arrival, no one came to welcome us or explain how to reach the reception, which was particularly confusing since vehicle access to the hotel is not possible. The reception door remained locked, so whenever we needed assistance, we had to knock and wait for someone to respond. The food was average, and I would rate it around 6 out of 10. The pool also did not appear to be particularly clean. In addition, several of the experiences and services advertised in the hotel description were unavailable, even though the hotel was far from full during our stay. The service was also very slow at times—we waited approximately 20 minutes just to receive a Coca-Cola. Overall, the property is visually impressive, but the service and guest experience require significant improvement to justify its five-star rating and price.
Great outdoor setting for breakfast and evening meals beautifully lit against the backdrop of the historic hotel
Nothing
Tudo
The setting is everything we hoped for. Vestige Son Vell is a genuinely beautiful restoration — old stone, working terraces, an estate that feels lived-in rather than staged. The location is exceptional: minutes from the Camí de Cavalls coastal trail, close enough to the sea that it’s a constant presence throughout the stay. We swam, walked the trail at sunrise, and spent long afternoons on the terrace without ever feeling the need to leave the grounds. Dinner at Vermell was a real highlight — confident, well-executed food clearly built around what the island produces. Lunch at Sa Clarisa, slow and sun-drenched, was exactly the long Mediterranean midday meal we’d hoped for. We’ll be back — this is a property worth returning to, and worth getting the service polish right.
The one area that needs attention: service speed and communication. Restaurant service moved slower than the quality of the food deserved, and English communication was a struggle at several points. Housekeeping had similar gaps — small missed details here and there. None of this felt unkind, more a training gap than anything else, but it’s worth Son Vell’s attention given how strong everything else about the property is.
Absolument tout
Absolument RIEN
Remote. It felt like we were the only people in the property at times even though it was completely booked.
The long skinny road to the property can be difficult to navigate when there’s any oncoming traffic. But it’s worth it when you arrive.
Séjour exceptionnel dans cet hôtel qui allie le charme du XVIII e siècle et le confort contemporain. La beauté des lieux , des jardins , l’extrême professionnalisme du personnel et la qualité de la cuisine font de Son Vell une adresse hors normes .
Rien . Tout est absolument incroyable
Incredibly historic and impeccable restoration. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is superb and the grounds are impressive. Would love to see a better wine selection.
I’m not a fan of the new buildings; they disrupt the historic atmosphere somehow. Also, the cleaning staff were disorganized and left the room incomplete, even with quite a lot of dirt on the floors. Improvement needed there.
Do hotel em si e do lugar onde está inserido, pela tranquilidade e paz que transmite e tão necessária na actual situação em que vivemos.
Tudo era óptimo.
The buildings, the gardens, the room, everything was exquisite and very well maintained. Simply beautiful.
Nothing. It was perfect!!!
The hotel is really beautifull
Breakfast finishes at 10:30 and we almost missed it, which feels too early when you are on vacation and dealing with jet lag. The staff was very kind, although not always efficient.”
Beautiful and serene
Spazi all’aperto bellissimi
Restoration of the property is exceptional and estate is incredible yet comforting. The staff were really friendly, human and helpful too - especially Gary and his guest experience team - who kept us just the right amount of busy during our stay.
Beautiful tranquil location, extremely relaxing , immediate access to walks along the coastal path, very good food, peaceful room with large outside patio
Like hospitality in so many places & countries around the world it is now difficult to retain staff and Vestige Son Vell is no different- many keen young staff but still needing more training & experience.
Everything was absolutely exquisite, from the beautifully styled interior , the lush gardens, and the superbly fitted and furnished room.
the service is amazing , the property is stunning, the food is incredible !
we loved everything except “the bath” is the foot of the shower.
Beautiful grounds. Beautiful rooms.
Service from staff was poor and slow.
Gorgeous property, beautiful pools, lovely team and fab food. Supremely relaxing experience.
the old manor house is breathtakingly beautiful, the location remote and the views stunning. Everything has been very tastefully restored and exudes graciousness and charm. Our room was large, well equipped and quiet. The staff were warm, welcoming and friendly. With two swimming pools, gorgeous gardens, ones own garden/sitting area and nearby beaches, it is tempting to never leave the hotel!
We felt that a better equipped gym would have been nice. The food generally was good though we had the idea that there were almost too many waiters wandering around and were a little bit put off over dinner on the first evening by the headsets/earpieces they wore - surely not necessary in a relatively small and oversee-able dining area? They had the effect of making normal conversation with the guests somewhat difficult.... We loved our stay all in all but (having just spent a week walking around the coastline and staying at very good 3/4* hotels for EUR 150 per night) we believe that the EUR 600+ per night pricing is on the high side.
A dream! Very relaxing and the staff is incredible.
There is so much potential as it is a beautiful estate...however there is a lot of room for improvement in terms of service and the communication between the different teams. My husband and I were completely disappointed as we had high hopes for this hotel for our honeymoon.
We had a good experience but it didn’t quite live up to expectations, food was solid rather than inspired, concierge was great but meal service quite amateurish. Worst of all was the constant building work by the pool which really made quiet relaxation impossible. No apology was made for this. There are better, and better value, options like Experimental.
Son Vell is magnificent, authentic, quiet luxury at its best. Every element of this unfussy, elegant yet charming property is curated to perfection. The service is personal but not in-your-face. The food is spectacular. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Beautiful property & gardens, the best hotel we have ever stayed in. Superb swimming pools, lounge areas, pool bar, dining areas. Our room was outstanding with a cosy garden. Spotlessly clean, wonderful food & excellent staff.
Nothing to not like!
The most amazing hotel we have ever stayed at. The definition of quiet luxury.
Words cannot describe the finesse of this hotel. Down a dusty track you will find an oasis of calm that was hard to leave! 10/10 for the team..
Everything!!!!!

Stunning setting, landscape is truly beautiful.

Amazing project with a stunning garden and great guest experience :) Lovely scape with the best atmosphere
Beautiful location with pretty gardens and generally nice and healthy food. Well designed spacious rooms.
Food was brilliant one day but disappointing on the next.
Amazing style and respectful of the environment and the spirit of the estate
This hotel is PERFECT. I've been to many luxury hotels and none of them match Vestige Son Vell. I think because it simply cannot be very profitable to be this tasteful and attentive to detail? If this were a normal luxury hotel some tedious finance guy would've come along somewhere in the development process and insisted on cheaper outdoor furniture, or floor tiles, or fewer gardens, or whatever, for the sake of the bottom line. Not here! The concierge service, food, pools, cocktails, beds, breakfast, and service are excellent but also, like, I've never seen more gorgeous umbrellas? A hotel really needn't care very much about outdoor umbrellas, but this one does, and all these little details add up to an experience of a new type of luxury - a luxury derived from good taste rather than expensiveness - that I've really never had in a hotel before. Whoever was behind this hotel had a ton of money, flawless design sense, time to make it right, and it shows. I can't wait to go back one day.
Nothing! I liked everything! Even the fire extinguishers were housed in gorgeous containers!
Beautifully restored, and newly built buildings and rooms. The grounds are idyllic, the pool area and garden just stunningly tranquil. Breakfast excellent, dinner was good. Great walk to sea and along the trail to Son Sakura beach. Road to hotel in total disrepair, should be fixed, some confusion in some areas of service, arrival, check out and restaurant booking….put that down to being a new hotel.
Everything, one of the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I would go back again always.
Bad WiFi! But good to disconnect in this idyll
Great experience at all point
majestic finca, wonderfully restored. Extremely friendly and attentive staff.
food menu very expensive, with few options for snacks / bar food.
