Ahmic Lake Resort

It was clean and amenities were decent.

We booked for 6 ppl, the details said there were 2 bedrooms with 2 beds (1 K 1Q) and 1 sofa bed. There were not! There were 2 bedrooms with 2 dbl beds and zero sofa beds. No cots available - we had to go out and buy a blow up mattress!

Nice and comfortable for big group

Super freindly guys at reception. They were so kind and helpful!! The area is nice and the paths are great. The house was so lovely and had everything we needed. We had some amazing sunsets!! Only wish the restaurant was open and bar was running..it was always closed so we had to make sure we were well stocked.

It was beautiful everywhere you looked! The cottage was mostly updated and very nice.

The biting flies! We couldn’t escape them. Nothing would repel them. We spent the next week scratching and suffering. Where’s the wildlife? I’ve seen more critters in my urban backyard than I did here. There’s not even a variety of birds! BRING YOUR OWN OUTDOOR CHAIRS! Theirs are awkward, slanted and not comfy. The trails were difficult to find and there was no petting zoo! But I’m grateful still because they accepted my big Dane on the property and the trip was always meant for him and he loved it.

We stayed here recently and had a mixed experience. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the place is clearly managed with care. The cabins are a bit old but cozy and clean, and the bedding was fresh. Unfortunately, we chose cabin 8, which was not ideal. It had no direct access to the water, so we had to walk to the shared beach. There was also a playground right next to our cabin, and children started playing early in the morning, which made it hard to relax. The road is visible from the cabins and the beach, which takes away from the peaceful lake setting. However, the beach itself was nice. The water was clean and the lake bottom was very comfortable for swimming. Inside the cabin, the doors creaked and the taps didn’t work well. The water pressure was inconsistent. If you book a cabin closer to the lake and farther from the playground, it could be a really nice place to stay.

Family friendly and enjoyable.

We stayed for two nights and had a really lovely getaway from the city. The cottage had everything we needed—great lake view, BBQ, terrace, and all the essentials like dishes and cookware. It was super cozy and peaceful. The staff were really friendly and helpful too. Would definitely come back!

The reception person was pleasant. The location excellent. The area, being a lake property, is lovely. The cabin had a heater and also an electric mosquito zapper, both of which worked and were helpful.

When I arrived I was presented with a release form to sign which was exceedingly broad and inappropriate giving 100% release even if the negative event was due to the negligence of the owner. The release needed to be written in a much fairer way, recognizing that the owner also has responsibilities and reference should have been made to Ontario laws which govern such things. I did not sign it. The entrance door for the cabin had no dead bolt and the safety latch was broken. I called attention to this but nothing was done during my stay there. Cleaning needed more attention to detail, especially the kitchen drain board and stove. The microwave was not plugged in and I had to climb on a chair to locate the outlet above the microwave. The clocks were not on-time, a small point but not "welcoming". The provided folded towels on the shelf in the bathroom were damp! This made me wonder how clean they were as they had apparently neither been dried in a clothes drier or in the sun. In fact the bathroom floor was very damp. I suspect there is water coursing underneath given that towels on the floor gained moisture instead of drying! The bedside lamp fixed to the wall was broken. All in all I was disappointed in the cabin.

The manager and the staff are all very attentive and very welcoming.

The cottage was nice, clean and had everything we needed, including the wood fireplace that warmed us up on a cold rainy day.

The restaurant on the property was not up to expectations. The restaurant room is nice but the food was below average.

The cottage that we stayed in was roomy and clean. No complaints at all. The restaurant attached to this resort is top notch! An overall great stay!!

The property has no proper heating Small portable heaters Not enough blankets Hydro went during my stay and it was very cold. Floors are also uneven Washroom was also not well maintained for cottage 2 Floor was breaking into pieces

We stayed for one night and found it to be a 2-star experience, so lower your expectations. The bed linens had burn holes, tiles were missing in the bathroom, and there were no basic toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, or body wash. The furniture was really olf, uncomfortable, dirty, and should be thrown away—there was nowhere to be comfortable except outside. We didn’t even shower because we were grossed out by the condition of the shower. It didn’t meet my expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend unless you are ok with those standards.

Very beautiful cottages and lookout trail is awesome, noce lake view and fall colors

Beautiful scenery, friendly neighborhood and staff. Great location, it was quiet and the fall colors we amazing! Dog friendly as well which is always a plus :)

Stayed as doing business in town. Quiet and clean

The location is amazing but the cottage we were assigned to needs some serious maintenance. The floor seems sagging and the toilet and the overall feel of the cottage was not worth the money spent. Raj at the reception was amazing and courteous.

It is a huge change from what it was before. Owners changed and entire property needs to be updated. Poor communication, they try to charge my credit card as soon as I made a reservation instead at the property. Nobody ever came to take the garbage or recycling away. We had to go and ask for clean towels too. All together very bad. We will not come again or recommend this property to anyone

We really enjoyed our family trip to this resort. The hot tub cottage was great, the restaurant was amazing, the owner super nice and available to help 27/7, ice cream shop great, beach - nice and clean and overall great family getaway! Strongly recommend this place! The only reco is - check ahmiclakeresort website cottages description for more accurate info then hotels.com . Thank you, Raj!

I went with a group of friends and it was just the beginning of the season so we had the entire property to ourselves. All the staff were extremely friendly and nice. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable. A separate shout out to Michael and Raj. Do ask for them when you visit.

We love the cottage, specially the patio looks down to the lake. The drive in was exceptional
