Southgate Hotel London

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und haben uns direkt wohlgefühlt. Unser Zimmer war meinem großen Doppelbett und einer großen Zudecke ausgestattet - sehr angenehm und gemütlich. Das Badezimmer verfügte über eine schöne Regendusche. Das Frühstück war typisch englisch mit einem klassischen English Breakfast. Das Brot war sehr sauber mit einem Tuch abgedeckt, außerdem gab es frisches Obst und der Kaffee war wirklich lecker. Die Servicekraft hat immer nachgesehen, dass alles sauber und ansprechend aussah! Für einen guten Start in den Tag war das Frühstück auf jeden Fall ausreichend. Sehr positiv hervorzuheben ist auch der tägliche Zimmerservice. Das Reinigungspersonal war jeden Tag da und hat sich auch darum gekümmert, dass das Bett wieder ordentlich gemacht wurde. Die Lage des Hotels war für uns perfekt. Eine Busstation sowie die Underground waren in nur etwa zwei Minuten zu erreichen. Auch zahlreiche Supermärkte und Restaurants befinden sich direkt in der Umgebung.

Es gibt keinen Grund zur Beanstandung

Nice size room and location.

We had a king size room, the room smelt of damp from the wet room when you first walked in. The shower flooded as the drain didn't drain properly meaning that you couldn't use the toilet after showering. The problem is long standing as the door frame had swollen and the door wouldn't close. The TV didn't work either. Reception's answer was to dry the floor and make a towel dam around the shower area to stop the flood. The TV wasn't fixed.

I had a wonderful experience staying here, everything with so comfortable and staff were great.

There wasn't anything I didn't like

I love this hotel… mainly because it’s on the Piccadilly Line and provides good accommodation with easy access in and out of the City centre

Southgate station was closed for the 2 nights I stayed… which meant I had to drive in and out of the City on both days!

As a studio I thought you would have a kitchen with a cooker where as my room only had a microwave. That’s all.

The hotel was modern & well presented & the staff were superb, always polite, friendly & happy to help. We had three rooms & all were clean, comfortable & modern with comfortable beds & pillows. There are a considerable number of restuarants & bars a short walk from the hotel which turned out to be very much needed.

The description of the hotel is very misleading. Quote from Booking.com site "The modern restaurant serves British cuisine with halal and vegetarian options complemented by a buffet breakfast". The "restaurant" serves four different pizzas, hardly a restaurant in my book, & the buffet breakfast has no traditional British options for bacon or sausage, only chicken sausage which was awful.

Has working Contracts around the UK no bar for my work colleagues. Sorry iĺl be useing premier inn next time.

Brekfast was an additional £10 per person and was well worth it. Nice dining area, good variety of breakfast dishes. The room was clean, and quiet. Safe and fridge were also available in the room.

La possibilità di ordinare una pizza discreta anche in piena notte, preparata sul posto e a un prezzo giusto è stato fantastico. Ne abbiamo approfittato più volte al rientro.

La colazione è un po limitata nella scelta. Per una 4 stelle mi sarei aspettato qualcosina di più.

This was a halal hotel so no pork sausages or bacon or alcohol...so breakfast though clean and plentiful of breakfast alternatives was average.. Not bothered about other religions but I think you could just say that this is what to expect

Excellent hotel. The bed was so comfortable and the air conditioning meant it was an excellent temperature, we slept really well. The facilities were very modern, with a great shower. There was even a kitchenette, although we didn't stay long enough to use it.

We thought the buffet breakfast was rather mediocre for a 4 star hotel, with limited options and mediocre food quality in our opinion.

The hotel is in a super location, staff were excellent, the whole place was spotless, and very safe. Ok

Breakfast was very poor, the hot food was very disappointing , so on our second morning we found a lovely spot down the street.

The only negative was with the parking which had to be 'paid within 5 minutes of arrival'. This wasn't possible as the system wasn't working and this should be improved.

Modern and tidy with a little bit of style but needs a little spruce. Rooms were quite nice, simple with some nice modernities.

Breakfast options not great, only really catering for halal and vegetarians. No alcohol available so restricted people who want to enjoy a drink before heading out. £181 overall even with breakfast and in London being north also feel pricey overall. I think I’d pay £125/30 at most for this ideally.

I've chosen the hotel beacause of the good reviews and parking. Location obviously was close enough to the venue as London is quite a big place. The room was modern and clean. We went for a bigger double and we had plenty of space, tea and kettle was also available. We had a look into extra services but had no chance to use them (gym is at the hotel free of charge). Super easy to book an Uber without an app by the exit door. Also great to find a place with its own parking as arriving at night can be confusing in London (extra charge £20/24h at the desk). Breakfast was very tasty.

Bathroom design is nice but shower sprays water through the closed door all over the bathroom. Lino on a floor is already lifted due to moisture. One hook for two large bath towels doesn not give a chance for them to dry. Lots of LED switches with info om them. Not sure if this necessary.

Price was a little expensive

The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed that I’ve stayed in for a long time. The room layout was perfect. Breakfast was great and the staff were all friendly.

There was a very strong drain smell in the bathroom. We had to run the taps, shower and flush the toilet a couple of times.

Room was ready when I arrived early, with no early check in levy applied. Room was clean, air con worked (needed).

It was a dry hotel (no alcohol), this wasn’t clear when booking. It maybe in the small print, but not obvious.

I liked how convenient the location was, particularly in light of the price. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and food facilities were great, also at a great price. The room was spacious and modern.

Lovely hotel in a nice location. Fully air conditioned rooms which was much needed during the current heatwave. Beds were super comfortable and fabulous linens and nice large towels.

Not a complaint but more for awareness - the hotel bar only sells non alcoholic drinks and the breakfast food had only chicken sausage - no pork products. Also car parking is £20 per day.

They have a bar that doesn’t sell any alcoholic drinks. Also a long way out of central London. But that’s not something they can do anything about. It was still my choice.

Clean and modern hotel, nicely furnished with up to date electronics (USB B and C charging points on sockets). Quiet, well soundproofed and with a comfy bed, I'd definitely use this as a base again.

If I'm being picky, proper sausages for breakfast (not chicken sausages) would be appreciated.

Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, spacious and beautiful. Breakfast had lots of variety and great quality. Large car park with lots of space and very easy experience with checking in and out.

This was purely a place to sleep while being in London.

This was definitely not a 4 stars stay / hotel. For one, the shower head was probably never cleaned, one of the LED lamps on the wall next to the door was barely hanging on, and the soap dispenser next to the sink was barely functional. There was only one set of towels available in the bathroom, even though we booked a twin room. We had to look for the second set that was hidden away in a random drawer in the room. The reception staff barely spoke to us at check in/out, just handed us a piece of paper and our keys and sent us on our way without explaining anything.

It was the closest hotel that was available to the venue. I was going to Tottenham Hotspur’s Stadium. I went during a heat wave and the air conditioning was ICY COLD. It felt so good! I also liked the water pressure in the shower. And that the fridge kept my drinks nice and cold.

There was nothing I disliked about the property.

The hotel is very clean, the staff is gentle and very nice, I had a very good experience. I definitely recommend.

Easy to get to from Southgate station; friendly staff; spacious and comfortable rooms; loved the air con in the heatwave; we would be happy to stay there again.

La habitación no valía lo que pagamos (1.070 euros 4 noches, sin desayuno). Los pasillos huelen mal. El baño es reducidísimo, con olor a cañería. El hotel está a 40 minutos mínimo del centro, si el metro funciona. En bus supera 1hr40min. La cama doble es muy estrecha (1,60). No hay armario, sitio muy escaso para las maletas que el único sitio donde puedes dejar la ropa (y es la habitación más cara y amplia del hotel).
