Breakfast was as stated, continental and excellently presented. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
We liked the location, the facilities and the meals. Happy to come again in the future.
Nothing
The breakfast selection as good
No negatives at all
Excellent friendly staff
Limited breakfast if expecting hot but totally suited me without. EV charging facility would be useful but not expected.
I am a returning guest at the white horse and over the past 8 or 9 years I have never had a bad experience - the staff are extremely welcoming, polite, caring and its genuine. The owners have invested a lot over the years and I've seen a massive change to the layout, the bedrooms and the car park. All for the better. The rooms are very nice, comfy beds, free wi-fi which is unheard of in most places you stay and its very quiet.
Sadly the breakfast will always get a poor score from me - I've stayed at the white horse for probably 8 or 9 years on an annual basis as I travel for work. It used to offer a traditional cooked breakfast, when you are working 18 hours a day on a festival for 5 days, a good wholesome cooked English sets you up for a good day - now its continental, so does not quite hit the spot. HOWEVER, that is NOT to say the continental breakfast is poor in option or quality. Its just not my cup 'o tea. BUT the pluses for staying here far out way the breakfast moan - I grab a bacon butty at the festival so its not all bad!
The place was spacious and clean and professional looking. Breakfast was even on the booking, which was a thumbs up.
Quite a little drive from the work place, but fair.
Excellent clean comfortable room. Staff friendly and helpful
We were expecting a continental breakfast but found it a little sparse Excellent coffee
So much better than expected. Everything in the rooms was brand new, the photos don't do it justice. Great food, lovely staff, perfect stay for my cousins wedding.

Pulito e ordinato. Parcheggio gratuito
Colazione un po' scarsa
Super friendly staff. Everything was clean and tidy. Food was superb!!
Location you need hand rails in the shower, the floor of the shower is like a skating rink, especially for the aged
Stairs especially as I asked for ground floor
Great local pub. Busy when we arrived. Booked a table. Food was spot on. Room clean tidy big. Comfy bed. Large shower. Continental breakfast was sufficient. Nice stay.
Didn’t bother with breakfast!
Nothing
Staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was very clean and ideal for our short 2 night stay as a family of 3. The food was amazing and would highly recommend eating there during your stay.
Personnel au top Vrai pub anglais
Pas de douchette dans la douche Chambre vraiment petite pour 3 personnes Un peu bruyant le soir
The modern room, the friendly staff
The egg boiler at breakfast was fiddly
Very friendly and very clean
Clean comfortable and quiet, even above a busy pub. Adequate breakfast and convenient free parking.
Fantastic little place
The pillows, poor quality
Not keen on continental
Room was comfy and clean, liked the outdoor beer garden.
Continental breakfast not lots of choice but ok for price paid.
Warm and welcoming staff. Super comfortable, clean, modern room with great facilities. Local family fun event happening the evening we were there but the event wrapped up by 9 and our room was quiet. Didn't get to stay for breakfast, unfortunately. Secure bike storage.
Location. Staff.
Everything
Breakfast was basic but I understood this when booking so not a complaint more an observation
Very helpful and friendly staff
Could do with a fan in the room for hot humid nights
Conveniently located for visiting Driffield, accommodation located above and adjacent to public house so convenient for food and drink. Pleasant village location. Stayed due to work in area but would visit again for leisure. Only initial concern was noise from the pub below but that would depend on night of stay (potential issue if working the following day). Sunday night wasn’t an issue. Friendly and helpful staff. Help yourself continental breakfast was fine and available from 7.00am. Recommended.
Nothing worth mentioning.
Nice big rooms, spotlessly clean. A pleasant simple buffet breakfast. Very friendly staff
The room' windows are a bit small. We suffered from some late night "pub noise" with drinkers talking loudly outside the rooms well after midnight.
Reasonable
Shampoo and soap in bathroom
Very close to train station 5 minutes walk to get into Beverly lovely village pub
Food really nice very clean room
The property itself is good in that it is both a sports pub first and foremost serving the local community area very well. It has newly built on & refurbished hotel style accommodation. It has many events on over the weekends , and the hotel accommodation suits those who wish to stay and actively participate in these activities. Great fun for young families & friends. The hotel aspect of this property is very clean, comfortable and they have gone to great lengths to sound proof the bedrooms as much as possible: great foresight by the management on this aspect of the property. Thank you 🙏
There wasn’t any aspect that wasn’t regarded as anything less than good. The staff do their very best to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Thank you.
Good location very clean and friendly. Nice food and the rooms were fantastic.
Needs a dart board and some new pool cues
Great family room that was quite for my little girl and I. Partitian between her bunk beds and my double bed was great as she felt like she had how own room but as she's only 3 she was also close enough to me. Super clean and lovely bathroom and show
There was a minimal breakfast but we knew that was the case and it worked really well for what we wanted.

Staff were lovely! Loved the beer garden. Evening meal was excellent and reasonable price. Breakfast self service continental but able to boil own eggs - v good! Only downside was that it was a little warm in the rooms. But in the evening it was quiet enough to open window to get some fresh air. Slept really well after that.
Enjoyed stay. Can’t think of anything that could have been made better.
Friendly staff, cleanliness, comfortable bed

Amazing food , cracking atmosphere.
Location in a pub, enjoyed evening meal (paid extra) continental breakfast included. Good shower in the room. Adequate space and bed comfortable. Easy to find. Small local shop and fish n chip shop in the village with easy access to Driffield with the facilities associated with a town.
Was aware of pub noise as window open (stayed during heatwave), but didn’t stop me from sleeping.
En route for the Way of the Roses. Welcoming staff, bike storage, nice rooms with comfortable beds, restaurant and bar
The evening meal food was exceptional. Although only a continental breakfast is offered, it is substantial. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were several of us cyclists staying there, and they had arranged a secure place to store the bikes. It's a nice country pub in a picturesque village, and has a good choice of draught beers. I'm certainly looking at going there again.
Nothing.
Modern clean room. Friendly staff.
Room was on ground floor opposite beer garden with other outside drinking area close by. The weather was nice so both were in use. Noisy Breakfast quite minimal. We were towards the end of the sitting and items were nit replaced
The staff were fantastic. They couldn’t do enough to help. The room was lovely and very clean. Breakfast was lovely too. Lots of choice. Can’t wait to go back in next work trip.
Nothing. Had a lovely time.
Staff really friendly and helpful. Good pub grub - would recommend the steak and ale pie. Good secure storage for bicycles. Separate entry for residents via keypad. Good location for visiting the coast and other attractions.
Accommodation more akin to Holiday Inn than rural hotel. Very little space to hang / store clothes. Continental breakfast a bit basic. Felt it was overpriced on the weekend we visited - but that could have been because it coincided with the annual village festival.
Excellent pub food. The steak and ale pie was very good. The room was comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
I could not get the TV to work but that was probably me!
Great location for my work. Clean well equipped room. Nice self-service breakfast.
Very friendly staff. Comfortable room. Nice location. Free breakfast.
Clean tidy rooms, nice bar and food
Parking at rear was very helpful modern everything works
Clean and lovely family room. Comfy beds , good food and very welcoming, friendly Staff.
Nothing.
The staff were so friendly. I had a lovely stay the room was very clean.
TV bit tricky
Quiet location and pleasant, friendly staff.
The room was basic and the refreshments hadn’t been restocked. We requested some milks and a spoon to make a drink but unfortunately didn’t get any. We tried to request them again after a couple of hours but the bar was too busy to speak to anyone so we ended up going to the shop next door to get milk. Breakfast was simple and not much variety to choose from. Some dishes and the drinks jugs didn’t appear to be very clean.
It was a lovely stay. The staff were exceptional. So helpful. Lovely room very clean. The tv was difficult to turn on but was I sorted it. It was okay.
Tv
It was clean and fresh
It was all good
Fantastic value the staff couldn’t do enough to make you feel welcome
TV and that they didn’t do a cooked breakfast as the bar food on the night was fantastic
The location was perfect for my cycle tour of the Wolds. It was good to see a pub with a vibrant crowd and very good beer. Had a really good dinner. I thought the continental breakfast might have been a bit light for the cycling - but it turned out very good and allowed for a good lunch. With secure cycle storage.
nothing - all good
Central to the village and on the way of the Roses cycle ride which we were doing. Small compact room with everything we needed for an overnight stay. The pub stored our bikes overnight safely which was fantastic
Everything was really nice. We had a meal on the Saturday night and this was delicious. Breakfast the next morning was really lovely too, more than enough. Staff were really lovely, helpful and friendly. The only thing was the shower was cold n poor pressure. Otherwise all was spot on.
Shower water needed to be much warmer
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bedroom was very clean and comfortable.
Very friendly staff, the pub is cheap. Large rooms
No shower gels ( this could be in the listing I and I missed it)
It was clean.. the garden is also nice if the weather is good.
The woman who was there to greet us. Very rude, more than once. We were told over the phone we could leave our bags because check in wasn’t until 3. When we asked at the time we were told no and she was unbelievably rude to us. I have never known such a rude person in hospitality! The breakfast was the worst experience. Not enough of anything for the amount of people. The staff were having to take pots of people to wash them and put back out. No where near enough food for everyone and they only brought out a couple of everything at a time. We all went to McDonald’s instead in the end because we had to keep asking for everything. The rooms clean but VERY noisy. Beds rock hard. Never again.
Everything. Great room. Great food.
Nothing
Breakfast was a decent continental buffet., very ample. Staff very pleasant. Nice local pub
All good.
The accommodation was a good standard. The staff were excellent
I prefer an English breakfast rather than a continental breakfast. Just preference.
Steak and Ale Pie very tasty Spacious and comfortable room Slept well in comfortable bed Staff efficient and friendly
Convenient location, parking, room, helpful staff. Room was warm and cosy as heating worked well.
On first night and morning there was no hot water for a shower.
It was easy to find, quiet and in a pleasant village. The staff were attentive and friendly, making me, as a single traveller, feel very comfortable. I had a lovely walk from the property in the morning, over fields full of blackthorn blossom and into a delightful wood.
Rooms seem to be relatively new, comfortable, neat, tidy. Dinner was very good. Service from all staff was brilliant, very friendly.
Breakfast was poor. Very limited choices.
Clean, tidy with friendly staff
Nothing
Room was clean, bed was comfortable
Breakfast was a big disappointment. Sliced bread, a few slices on ham and cheese, cereals etc. Not what we would expect for £120 a night- have had much better in a Premier Inn.
Great Room, very clean and cosy. Fantastic food served in the Restaurant. Friendly and efficient staff.
Nothing
Very tidying up up-to-date
Friendly efficient staff, easy to park, room was clean tidy and comfortable.
Nothing.
Continental breakfast. More than sufficient for my needs. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Hutton cranswick is a lovely village with some lovely walks. Everyone was very friendly. Easy access into Driffield and Beverley by train. The farm shop is within walking distance and the food was excellent.
The room was very warm. The shower was Luke warm. I prefer this, but some travellers might not.
We unfortunately only had 5 mins to grab a few things and go, the lady was lovely and made sure we left well fed with a few bits and a take away coffee. Next time we'll have a less rushed timetable to enjoy our breakfast with you.
Location excellent for my visit, staff very friendly and helpful
The room was very dull and needed freshening up, the carpet needs cleaning, wall paper replacing as coming off in areas (overall a nice bright freshen up in the family would make it more pleasant). Bathroom very small, no where to put anything when getting ready, Toilet seat very lose and also the shower head holder very lose.
Breakfast was ok , just continental, no cooked stuff but ok for me
Wi Fi was great but no desk and chair in the room so it was very uncomfortable to do my work
Traditional pub
Nothing major.
The staff where friendly and it was very clean
Not a lot. The location was good for what we wanted.
The room was absolutely awful; dirty, old, tired & minimal.
Staff excellent and food, very good.
Mould on the ceiling in the bathroom. No plug in sink. Also Friday night meant people were outside talking loudly till 3.30am. We were told the bar would be open later but we didn’t expect people to be there till so late in the morning. Couldn’t shut window because of summer heat. Room really tired. Get all this right, you have a winner. Bar staff girls, brilliant. Sort out the rooms and we would be back.
Lovely staff and attentive
