Stunning waterside location with restaurant and pub

Bed side lamps in bedroom would be useful.

It was a beautiful location, the apartment was comfortable.

The seats outside on the balconies were rusted, some of the cups had stains in them, you couldnt get out. It was fairly clean. The toaster had crumbs in it. I rented 2 apartments there no 5 and no 7, number 2 was bigger but not as great a view, no 7 had a view but much smaller, but both had rusted chairs and tables on the balconies.

Have stayed here a few times now. Would highly recommend

cramped.....poorly furnished - i.e bright lights and no bedside lights. Damp. Overflowing bins. Not enough parking.

Lovely wee cottage right beside pier beach and restaurant and bar ...had everything we needed including a travel cot in request..... perfect location and a wee private play park for the kids....highly recommend and we will be back😁❤️

Next door to the restaurant, pub and shop. Great Little beach and pier at your doorstep. Will definitely stay again.

App. 02, nur die Terrasse - für 5 Personen eigentlich viel zu groß, hier könnte man ein Kleinfeld Fussballturnier austragen - aber absolut ok! Wohnbereich Mobiliar ist ok.

Dies ist eine objektive, aber kritische Beurteilung, weil 1. in unserer Buchung (booking.com) keine Vorauszahlung, sondern Zahlung vor Ort vereinbart war, wir aber etliche Tage zuvor vom Vermieter aufgefordert wurden, den Betrag zu bezahlen, ansonsten würde die Buchung storniert - absolut unseriös ! 2. auf dem Foto von booking.com ist nur minimal der äusserste linke Rand der Terrasse abgebildet, d. h. App. 02 hat absolut nix mit den abgebildeten Häusern zu tun, sondern befindet sich rechts unter diesen! Deluxe war nur der Preis und die Terrasse, ansonsten erhebliche Schwächen: _ Manual für Einrichtungsgegenstände, speziell bzgl. Power on/off fehlt; wir kamen nur an Warmwasser über Anfrage per WhatsApp _ Bad WC-Sitz instabil und falsch platziert, total unkomfortabel das Waschbecken hat ein Mini Format und kann deswegen kaum benutzt werden _ Schlafzimmer nur 1 Nachtkästchen vorhanden, ohne Lampe kein Lichtschalter am Bett _ in der gesamten Wohneinheit, max. 5 Personen, sind 3 Kleiderbügel vorhanden _ Küche Kaffee und Zucker von ???, nicht mehr verwendbar _ Wohnbereich nur 1 Steckdose vorhanden, gut versteckt hinter dem TV, schwer erreichbar

Our stay wasn't long enough

I love the location, the peace and tranquility of the Chalet, the sound of the waves and the little play park is fantastic, our second visit, and we will be back again.

The pillows are very uncomfortable.

I know it was Dec but house was very chilly when we arrived and the last morning there was even drops on the cistern.. Once radiators warmed was fine

It was overall clean and sand free, location is perfect

The reason why we booked that place is because of the location..

we booked a sea side apartment. When we reached inside the apartment and ill checked the kids room i found a big mould in the wall beside the bed and i message the property and they told me to transferred to the other apartment which is not a sea side. I keep explaining to them that i paid for the sea side apartment and we want to stay in the sea side apartment. She said that they are fully booked. I told her that is not my problem because you supposed to check the property and make sure that everything is okay before guest arrival.. The apartment that we stayed is very dirty, there's a animal pee on the floor, microwave is very dirty, oven try is rusted and the there's a leak from the toilet

The location was excellent and spotlessly clean very well equipped.

It was very compact . A bedside light would be advantageous. A little pricey for two people

Ideal location! Well kitted out apartment, everything you needed at your finger tips. Play area was a real hit with the children. Clean & modern fittings.

Only suggestions would be to maybe invest in some lamps for ambiance over having the main lights on in the rooms!

Im Appartement 5 hatte ein Schlafzimmer schwarzen Schimmel an der Decke. Dies sollte aus gesundheitlichen Gründen unbedingt durch den Vermieter behoben werden!

The chalets have recently been upgraded to a very high standard. The location is unbeatable.

The sink in the bathroom is very small and difficult to use without splashing water everywhere.

Quite small and no en-suite toilet

Someone had poo’d in the play park so we could let are children use it, and also the was mouse poo on the pull out sofa bed so couldn’t sleep on it, half a roll of toilet paper and no bin bags in the bins! The area around is lovely would go back to that location

It had a lovely view, and the local people were lovely, but there was no staff to help with anything

The positives: the location and view are absolutely phenomenal. Being right by the water is a unique experience and certainly the highlight of the stay.

The apartment itself was disappointing. It felt grubby overall, with the fridge and oven not properly cleaned. The bathroom is very small, and the second bedroom has bunk beds that are really only suitable for young children — not comfortable for an adult at all. The general feel was more like camping under a roof than staying in a “deluxe” apartment. While the view is stunning, it doesn’t justify the price tag. Sadly, I wouldn’t consider it good value for money and wouldn’t stay here again at this rate.

Very well maintained and clean. Location was as described with a sea view. Beds were comfortable and the shower was good. The kitchen had a good variety of cooking utensils and again very clean.

The sofa wasn't comfortable and there was only the main light in the living room which was bright. Lamps would be better even in the bedrooms. The kitchen hob was temperamental and there was no no brush or mop to clean especially after coming back from the beach.

Small car park, travelled as a group in 2 cars and had to park one car outside the accommodation car park throughout both night but enough parking nearby to not be an issue

Paradise doesn't even cover the location. Such a beautiful area. So safe for kids and has everything they need in a close area. My kids didnt want to come home. Very relaxing. Host was very accommodating.

Shop is a bit far but of course that's not the holiday apartments fault!

The location was amazing. Best views and so close to beach and local pub.

Room quite small but as weather was good it didn't impact us much.

Our stay in Portsalon was exceptional. This has been our 2nd visit to Pierside apartments and the location is stunning. The apartment was spotless and has everything you need. The checking in was seamless. A few steps and you are literally on the beach. Our family had the best time and we can't wait to get booked for next year.

Apartment was very clean and the location was amazing. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. Very peaceful and it was great to have beach access so close aswell.

Not a dislike more a recommendation that the balcony furniture for the narrow balcony apartments should be updated as the furniture is really rusty and old and not very safe or comfortable for sitting on. Also think the fact that the washing machine is in a laundry room in a separate building should be made clearer as it’s one machine shared between 8 apartments.

- shower didn’t work properly - bathroom very compact / too tight - bed uncomfortable - bed linen and quilt poor quality ( it was cold) - Oven door scraped the door surround when opening

Beds in 2nd room a bit uncomfortable for adults, fine for kids.

The location is second to none. The sea is literally lapping up below the balcony, and that is the sound you fall asleep to every night. I spent lots of time on the balcony with my baby in his paddling pool. The balcony gets the sun from early morning to the evening time. Heaven!

This was a lovely spot. The accomodation was basic but really all that is needed. We did not have any hot water for all our stay however. We called (no answer) and left a message (no reply). This was a bit disappointing. The bunk beds look practical but with one person on the bottom bunk and one on the top sleep was hard as everytime one of us moved the bed would creek and wobble.

It's a massive change since the chalets have been updated, beds are comfortable

There are no blinds or curtains in the bathroom so you can see people in other chalets using their toilets. It's a bit off-putting to be honest. There are a few scrapes on the floors done by the chairs around the table, the oven door doesn't open as the door frame to the second bedroom blocks it - previous people staying have opened it fully and scratched the paintwork. Apart from the bathroom situation this is a lovely place to stay

Power shower wasn’t great

No shades or blinds on bathroom window. Appeared that a person could see directly into bathroom from the outside especially of the bathroom light was on. I was fortunate that no one else was around otherwise, I would have felt a little uncomfortable. Also, the bathroom light appeared to be triggered by a motion detector in the living room area so the bathroom light was on if you were in the apartment.

Great location for a peaceful family vacation.

The sensor in the bathroom didn’t work therefore the lights were on all the time.

The location is beautiful the apartments are ideally located there is a pub beside the apartments which opens all year round also a restaurant but it is seasonal but the golf club is 5 minutes walk away and does food including carry out all year round. There is also a big carpark on the main road in only ten minutes walk from the apartment's that has a coffee van and a chippy van. You can fish at the pier all year round.

There was a lack of some basic items, eg bedside lighting, lamp or dimmed lighting in living area, more kitchen equipment.

The living area was a little small, and steep hill to climb to get to the appartment, I have a bad knee and found it hard going up the hill

Dog friendly, large balcony perfect for our dog, great views close to beautiful sandy beach, well equipped kitchen, definitely would go back here enjoyed our stay.

Added extras would have been welcome to give extra luxury feel, soaps in shower, some games for evening.

As advertised! Clean, great location overlooking the sea, lovely playground, super for our family!

Parking on both nights was tricky. We arrived at approx 8pm and there was no space for us to park. We got back at approx 5pm on Sat. & again no space available. Difficult with young children. Would be good to have the car park spaces lined- this should help the issue!
