This place was beautiful and the staff just made you feel right at home! Everything was great!!
Staff was as absolutely helpful and friendly as they could be.
Very pleasant stay, walkable to tons of restaurants.
Absolutely loved the staff and service. Food was great and location made it for an easy walk to explore and enjoy the town
We absolutely loved our stay at the Herbert House!! We were looking for a convenient, walkable location that was also quiet as we have a toddler. This place delivered!! We easily walked to downtown and restaurants but also enjoyed breakfast on site every morning. The family who runs this home is very sweet and went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. For example the crib for our toddler was all set up and was a nice, cozy cot! Easy parking and a great place to come back to after we did the ring of Kerry! Don’t think twice - stay here!
It's a nice house in a good location and I liked the owners and their daughter. But my room wasn't cleaned well enough and I didn't sleep well due to allergies. It needed vacuuming. But would have been comfortable otherwise.
Staff was very friendly. Breakfasts were excellant.
Charming B&B. Everyone was warm and helpful; we had breakfast there both days, and it was probably the best breakfast we had in Ireland. Very clean, very comfortable, walking distance to town and across the street from a Hop On Hop Off bus stop. We feel very lucky to have been able to stay at Herbert House, a lovely place!
The Herbert House was an elegant gem, hard to find in this day and age. Wonderful breakfast, attentive and friendly staff. Highly recommend.
It felt like being home! Clean, friendly, cozy, great breakfasts! A real winner!
Inviting and comfortable place to stay, short walk to the nigh life of killarney. Spacious and clean rooms
Absolutely loved our stay here. Beautiful property, extremely friendly and helpful staff, and a 10 minute walk to downtown. We would love to stay here again !
The owner was very friendly and helpful. Killarney national park is just down the road. It’s a very convenient location. The room was comfortable. I would stay here again.
We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful, clean, comfortable and characterful BnB, in a great location an easy 10 minute walk to the centre of town. Warm and friendly customer service. Comfy beds, great bath tub, supermarket just a few houses up the road. We were only disappointed there was no breakfast service during our stay as the previous breakfast reviews were fab! I think as they were doing some minor works/painting the dining room so it was closed- hopefully next trip we can try the breakfast!
Very nice place to stay!
Short 10 min walk into town. Clean small hotel in good condition. Chef ‘having problems’ and was not available to cook breakfast. We had to leave the property to obtain food in the morning. Apart from a 3 minute introduction when checking in, we saw no staff except for the cleaners for the entire 2 nights we were there. On the plus side, we were changed by request from a room on the front which faced the busiest street in Killarney to a quiet one at the back. For the amount of money spent, it wasn’t worth staying here. At this price, breakfast should have been included…disappointed.
This is a lovely property with very nice hosts.
I've stayed in Killarney many times over the years, this year I couldn't get into any of my usual hotels. I booked Herbert house and to say it is wonderful is an understatement, Neil the owner is a gentleman and a true Kerry man, walking into town is easy, location is perfect. If you're coming to Ireland and you want to see traditional hospitality then this is the place
Quaint but still had all your cobveniences
Staff were very friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend this place!
Our room was spacious and light. Tea and coffee was available any time of day, self-service in the kitchen upstairs. Beautiful Victorian decor. So quiet, so clean, and a nice breakfast was available in the morning in the elegant breakfast room. Close to town for dining and shopping. Plenty of parking out front.
We couldn’t have been happier with our stay here. The location was perfect and convenient to everything. Super comfortable and very hospitable.
Friendly staff and clean room
This place was a gem! Neil was a wonderful host. The AM breakfasts were homemade and delicious with several options (additional fee). The beds were comfortable, the rooms so nicely set-up, and quiet. Beautiful grounds. We walked into town for the night-life, but several restaurants and grocery within a few blocks of house. There is also a guest kitchen on site. Would highly recommend this to anyone traveling thru Killarney!
Lovely property and enjoyed our stay.
The property is well-maintained and beautifully furnished. It shows pride of ownership. The owner met us at the door and showed us upstairs to our choice of two available rooms, both more than equal to our needs. He brought us a liter bottle of fresh water and visited a few minutes, explaining where to find coffee, tea and ice. He described the full breakfast available for an additional fee then left us to settle in. Our room overlooks a tree-filled yard with birds singing. It’s quiet and bright with sunshine. It is in town but feels like it is in the countryside. We slept well and would absolutely stay here again.
Wonderful place! Neil was very welcoming. Quaint and charming place
The host Neil was great, the room was fantastic, the property gorgeous. Definitely a 5-star stay
Just about ten minutes walk from all the options in the city. Very clean, very beautiful property. Friendly staff, did not pay for the breakfast as it was a little pricey and didn't see the options ahead of time so wasn't keen to pay and not have a suitable option.
The hotel was great and we felt like friends.
Great location, very well kept and comfortable.
Easy access. We arrived quite late, but we’re still greeted warmly. We did not have breakfast as we headed out early the next morning, but it looked like it would be delicious.
