Reviewed Sep 14, 2026Schloss ist Schloss, das hat immer eine spezielle Atmosphäre, da lebt Geschichte. In diesem Fall im positiven Sinn. Ein ambitioniertes Projekt, da ich idavon ausgehe, dass da noch mehr vorgesehen ist..... Besonders hervorzuheben das WLAN, was wirklich super war
Die Weinprobe war zwar informativ, aber etwas mehr Wein in den Gläsern wäre für das Olfaktorische besser. Man sollte die Teilnehmer auch darauf hinweisen, dass es nicht angebracht eingehüllt in eine Parfumwolke zu einer Verkostung zu erscheinen, was bei meiner Verkostung leider der Fall war. Die Weine sind ausbaufähig, der Jahrgang 2011 hat aber durchaus Charme.

Reviewed Sep 7, 2026Skønt sted hvis man skal ned i gear og godt kan lide at være i naturen. Det ligger afsides, så ingen store byer i området eller lign., men det var det vi gik efter og nogle gode vin-oplevelser. Restauranten er rigtig god og det samme er vinen.
Vi havde booket en træhytte, hvilket i sig selv var mega hyggeligt, men ikke mere end 2 dage i vores optik - hvilket var det antal dage vi var på stedet. Der lugtede dårligt fra afløbet på badeværelset, som desværre ikke havde en dør, så det spredte sig i hele hytten. Jeg tror desværre at der var væggelus i træhytten, vi så desværre spor fra det den dag vi skulle tjekke ud..

Partiendo de la base que el hotel está en un lugar MUY remoto, es lugar es agreste /seco, bien que está haciendo calor pero ni siquiera en la entrada un cachito verde, desde la recepción donde nos atendió una señorita muy sonriente pero tremendamente desorganizada, hasta la habitación cargamos con nuestras maletas por un camino de tierra polvorienta. Quisimos cenar y no había sitio en el restaurante (en un lugar tan remoto! Y que hacen los clientes?) cuando llegamos a la habitación decidimos pedir room service, no había carta en la habitación y llámanos y no contestó nadie, otra vez a recepción allí estaba la señorita sonriente y resulta que tenía el teléfono en silencio, pedimos la carta de room service, me dio una carta con los platos disponibles rodeados por un círculo a bolígrafo y el resto tachado, eran tres platos, tabla de quesos y charcutería, una ensalada de mini burrata con tomate, orichetti con calabacín y de postre tiramisú o bizcocho con melocotón y ya! Vaya hotel de 5 estrellas, fue rápido y también caro por la mini burrata, dos orichettis, un tiramisú,un bizcocho de melocotón, una cerveza y una botella de agua pagamos 175 €. Desayuno con fruta escasa y poco poco madura y de compañeras las avispas. Cuando nos fuimos también llevamos nuestras maletas nadie ayudó. Precio desmesurado para la calidad

Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt leider nicht - für knapp 600€ pro Nacht in einem 5-Sterne Hotel erwarte ich eigentlich, dass jedes Detail passt. Der Garten, der zum relaxen einladen soll, ist im Prinzip nur das kleine Stück Rasen vor der Zimmertüre. Ausgestattet ist der Garten mit rostenden Gartenmöbeln. Im Badezimmer ist der Duschkopf voller Kalkflecken, das Duschgel nicht aufgefüllt. Weiters ist auch die Türe der Dusche undicht. Die Wandverkleidungen aus Holz sind teilweise abgeschlagen und insgesamt wirkt das Zimmer eher billig eingerichtet.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2026From when we arrived to when we left, the staff were friendly and very helpful. The setting was peaceful and very relaxing and a convenient base to explore many different areas. Breakfast was always fresh and sitting on the verandah early in the morning was a great start to the day. The restaurant meals were superb and the staff made my partner's birthday very special, particularly the concierge who set up the champagne and a birthday cake that our friends had arranged. This was a memorable few days.

Reviewed May 12, 2026Expérience absolument incroyable dans cet écrin magique à tout juste 30 kms de Bordeaux, au milieu des vignobles. Tout était parfait: le lieu: sublime, bien entretenu, un parc immense et magnifique. Les équipes: service et accueil chaleureux, sincères et attentionnés. Une expérience hôtel, dégustation des vins, restaurant, petit déjeuner et SPA juste fabuleuse où vous vous sentez privilégiés et uniques. Et +, Ô combien important pour nous: Un vrai accueil 5* pour notre poilu à 4 pattes. Enfin, un établissement de luxe qui vous sentez que votre fidèle compagnon est vraiment le bienvenu, partout où vous allez, et pas seulement toléré. Un grand bravo aux équipes. Nous reviendrons, c'est certain :-)

We only stopped for one night while travelling through France and wish we had known how lovely it was as we would have stayed longer . The food in the restaurant was so good too .

It would be beneficial to hire staff who are calm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. The property itself is stunning, surrounded by vineyards, and steeped in the history of winemaking. Our room was spacious and tastefully designed, and the bed was incredibly comfortable—we slept like babies. The wine tasting included in the stay was an unforgettable experience: insightful, generous, and deeply connected to the land and its traditions. We learned so much about viticulture and the cultivation of the vine, which added real depth to our visit. Breakfast was delightful—simple, refined, and enjoyed in such a beautiful setting that it felt like stepping into a fairytale from another era. Dinner at the restaurant was impeccable. The cuisine was refined and thoughtful, with flavors beautifully layered and harmonized. The presentation, quality, and balance of the dishes reflected a true respect for gastronomy. Above all, what truly sets this place apart is the people: you genuinely feel that the staff care deeply about your comfort and experience. Their attention is sincere, warm, and effortless.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026Excellent breakfast. Reception on arrival was also very good. We arrived early so were given the opportunity to relax in the spa area until our room was ready. We were travelling to France from Australia so the location, only a short drive from Bordeaux airport and Bordeaux was perfect to relax and recover from jet lag.
A basic map of the walking trails in the grounds of Chateau Leognan would have been nice to have but not essential

Reviewed Jan 7, 2026Amazing nature landscape. Perfect to relax and enjoy nature and good wine. Spa services are very nice. Restaurant food was really good and tasty.
During winter is cold inside and outside. It would be helpful to have a better heating system.
