The room has potential, great idea to have these apartments rented out. There also was a donkey in the field outside. The planting outside the property gave us a bit of privacy.
Very disappointed about this property. The photos in the booking site showed the place when it was new. But it is not new anymore and it doesn't seem looked after at all. Just to mention a few things to improve: Paint the walls. Fix the TV bracket on the wall - it's unsafe to use. Mould in the bathroom - it smelled horrible and didn't look nice. Not a place you want to stay in for long. The bathroom door didn't shut properly. The hooks in the bathroom were unusable, as the screws came out of the walls. The ventilation in the bathroom didn't work, so it was even more damp after showers. There was no space to put things, like a proper table or a dresser or a sideboard. We loaded everything on the sofa instead and then couldn't sit on it. The bed was a double - too small for today's standard (IMO) and there were not bedside tables. The lighting was poor for reading, the lampshades looked battered. The walk-in-wardrobe seemed unfinished with open pipes and missing plugs. It smelled of cat urine. The smoke alarm still had the dust cover attached (!!!) Fan was very dirty - would you use that yourself?
Aussicht, Lage
Bed size, no cooling/airflow in room
Sehr schönes Zimmer in ruhiger Umgebung. Sehr nette Gastgeber.
Lekkere rustige locatie, mooi uitzicht
Douche werkte niet naar behoren
De ligging was prachtig. Àlles aanwezig wat nodig is. Mooi en warm ingericht. Rustig gelegen. Mooi uitzicht. Kortbij Galway.
The location and price is fantastic for what you get.
My only complaint was that the bed was a little small, but that's more or less due to the fact that my wife and I are both over 6 ft tall.
I stayed here for 3 nights and I like the atmosphere a lot. Everyday when waking up, I can saw the beautiful green grass and the animals. It was healing and unforgettable. The amenities are well furnished and new.
You must need a car to access the place.
Perfect getaway, amazing clean and spacious rooms, no words on how good it is And the view... wow
This property is a dream! Book it. The owners were lovely. It was an incredibly peaceful quiet place to stay. No air conditioning. Roads are narrow but there is nothing like the Irish country side, it was adventure! 10 mins from Galway and parking. We took a ferry to the aran islands and the.port is a short easy drive from this property. I hope to return again!!!! Lovely! Book it now!
Beautiful scenery and very peaceful. Very nice property with all you could want for a quite break away
No public transport into Galway city. Each taxi cost 25 euro. I only recommend if your driving as if you add the extra cost of taxis it world equate to a hotel in the city centre. Your in the middle of countryside so car would be essential
Rien
Everything in a compact spacious space and very clean
Lovely setting by the lake lovely views
Newly built. Private and quiet.
Delightful family farm with sensitively developed accommodation of farm buildings. Donkeys, sheep and cows all on the fields between the apartment and the distant lough.
A bit airless on a warm night but otherwise nothing. Accommodation lovely.
Really cute accomodation, ample car parking for guests, well appointed, nice and clean and beautiful hosts, though I missed the donkeys as they were in another paddock Rooms were dark and we slept well. Shower was nice as well. Apple maps doesn't have this accommodation location quite right, also its a ways from town and would easily be a 20 euro trip each if you didn't have a hire car/ mode of transport so that needs to be considered if you are booking.
The bed IS small, though my wife and I werent uncomfortable and we are used to KING size beds... beds seem small across Ireland. The rooms are not well sound proofed between them, however this wasnt a showstopper and we didnt feel uncomfortable. I wanted to go for a walk to the loch, however I didnt know if I would be intruding on the host and there was nothing to say I could/couldnt so I didnt.
Location, surroundings, property presentation
Nothing comes to mind
The space had a lot of room! There were donkeys on site that were very sweet. The bed was large and the couch and kitchen area were a nice touch. The owner was kind when we arrived.
The space got very hot and had no air conditioning, fan, or window. This required us to leave the sliding door open to get any air which we did during the day but felt nervous about at night. The space wasn't very clean (sink was dusty and speckled with water from the previous people, spiderwebs were on the ceiling/beams, the floors turned my socks dark and dirty, significant hard water build up in the shower, etc.). The shower head was broken, which impacted the water flow and ruined the "rain shower" experience. We also overheard a rude comment about Americans from the owner's wife. It may or may not have been about us, but either way it made us feel unwelcome.
No breakfast.
We never interacted with the hosts face to face, but knew they were there if something was needed. They were busy landscaping, etc. on their huge property.
We loved the location, ambience, set up, both distance from and convenient access to town, friendliness of hosts, advice on what to do and where to go from the hosts.
Thank you, everything was wonderful, a magical atmosphere of coziness and comfort, we had a great weekend and will definitely come back again!
Everything was excellent. I recommend it.❤️
The property has everything you need and is just outside the city which is good for a quiet break away
Everything. Including the added bonus of a donkey in the garden 🫏😁🪴
Outside furniture. It’s such a beautiful location so the addition of some comfortable relaxing outdoor furniture would be a bonus. The current table and chairs don’t quite suit the stunning environment Also, a small factor but there aren’t any bedside tables. It would benefit from either a very small table or shelf at the bedside. This would have rated it a 10 in my opinion!
Location and surroundings were perfect. In the country minutes from downtown Galway.
Nice, peaceful location
The bed felt a little small and may not suit the larger traveller. Small pointers for improvement in the generally well appointed property would be a chopping board and dishcloth for the kitchen.
Excellent position in the country side; super silent place; (if you do not have noisy from the neighboring apartment); quite clean; free car park onsite; in general good place to spend a couple of days
Quality of the materials adopted in the apartment looking very cheap in general; apartment seems not be yet finished (ceiling ?); double-bed super small (not sure why this choice, since they would have had place to install a bigger one); there is not a proper 'kitchen' to cook, more something for preparing a breakfast or emergency (only a single portable cooking plate and the water kettle); separation wall between the two apartments seems not soundproof since we could hear other guest talking (even they were really calm); when I talked to host in person he seems to be quite a 'cold person' (if you choose 'hosting' activity a smile would be appreciated by your client)
Beautiful views of the lake. Clean room. Free parking.
Stones leading up to door made it hard for rolling luggage, but we made do! :)
Beautiful location, excellent communication with the host and very comfy and well equipped room. Would recommend.
Location is superb. Fabulous colour tones used in the decoration. The donkey.... A lovely sight in the morning.
Nothing
The owners were extremely helpful in helping us plan a surprise engagement for my daughter at this property. Her finance was looking for somewhere private and quiet and this ticked all the boxes .
Nothing
An interesting conversion of an old stable, a single room with views over pasture towards the lough. Everything is bright, modern and new, a fair amount of IKEA as is often the case. We had a problem with hot water which was solved very quickly and presented with chocolates and a bottle of wine by way of compensation that was not needed. Very near Galway but a car is a necessity.
Although well equipped and even with a good corkscrew, it lacked a bread knife.
The property was amazing and we had a fantastic stay, also thanks to Aidan who provided us with everything we needed. He was very kind and friendly. The room was clean and tidy and so beautifully furnished. We were so happy and satisfied! Thank you
It was a very quaint setting on a little farm. Kiera and Adain were excellent hosts. Very enjoyable
Distance from the city centre was ~4 miles (20 euro trip each way)
The location, the space, the amazing hosts and of course Donkey and the ram.
