Reviewed Oct 12, 2026On arrival small entrance hall, very spacious lounge area open plan kitchen, all appliances available, TV, Internet, tea & coffee very clean & tidy, two bedroom house with double beds which were very comfortable, walk in shower.
Even though it was on a busy street it was very quiet, we could hardly hear anything outside.
Good location to local amenities, restaurants and a big supermarket not far away for all your supplies.
We would definitely stay again. My son enjoyed the chocolate.

This is no way a negative just a suggestion maybe a pint of milk or bottled water on arrival would have been nice but in all fairness we did only stay one night.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2025The property was perfect location for me visiting family, plus a walkable distance or short taxi to Guide Bridge train station to get into town.
The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot and powerful.
The kitchen and lounge has everything you need.
The owners were also very quick and friendly in their communication.
Can’t fault any of it.
I will stay again!

Alll items you would require for a stay were available.
Hosts were very communicative and helpful.
No faults at all and will certainly use again.
Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a place that is a comfotable, clean home from home.

No complaints at all.
Home was a vvery good size, plenty of space for my 4 year old and dog to spread out. Host was friendly and communicative.
House was pretty grubby. Lots of grime, cobwebs, and a pretty unpleasant smell coming from kitchen cupboards. Whole place needed some TLC. Gave the feeling that no one had been in it for a while.

Reviewed May 30, 2025Pretty much everything. Well laid out, clean and tidy. Everything on hand to use, including tea towels, towels, washing up items etc. This is excellent value for money.
This is nit picking 😂 but i would have liked nets or a voile in the lounge window as it is a flat fronted house and people look in as they walk past. I would book again in a heartbeat 😁

the towels were really bad, they were bleach stained and very rough ...a table and chairs is needed ...100% cotton bedding would be better. the back door needs attention and the back yard needs painting.

Reviewed Nov 18, 2024Easy access. Clean and tidy. Ample space to park. Some useful advice left out for us. Local taxis etc. very good value for money.
It would have been nice to have some milk in the fridge for a coffee-not really on them-I should have brought some.
The location was perfect for what we had it for as it was easy to get to and from family wedding functions who lived in Manchester. The house itself was decent in terms of space as we had kids that ned the space to play. Rooms were big enough too. The kitchen and living area were great too. The host were very accommodating as I needed the plane for an extra night and they managed to give that to me.
I do think the house could do with a lot of upgrades for example; the kitchen area didn't have a dinner table which had plenty of space for and would be ideal for family with young children. Think this was mentioned by someone else in the reviews.
The beds upstairs were not comfortable to sleep on either and definitely needs an upgrade as the main bedroom bed has sunk in the middle.
Kitchen drainage smell comes out a lot when running the tap - that needs sorting out.
I was walking barefoot in the house and within a couple of hours my feet were so dirty, dust everywhere which made me feel like I couldn't let the children play on the floor. The cleaning company needs to be changed or the owner needs to have a word. The cleanliness was below par. Unfortunately due to non refundable booking we just had to deal with what we had.
On the 3rd day of staying there, there was some major works going on outside and we didn't have water for 2hrs which delayed our day and just was not convenient.

Reviewed Oct 28, 2024Great location for accessing the city. Also very close (walking distance) to a great retail park. House was spacious and had everything we could possibly need. Lots of takeaways nearby, highly recommend Pizza Uno!
Some of the dishes weren't clean but that's on the previous guests, not the hosts. We had to clean as we needed a dish but didn't really mind.

I only had 3 issues with the place. 1st, the mattress in the small room is EXTREMELY uncomfortable and all spring with zero foam. It's like 1 of those cheap £100 ones. 2nd, the bathroom has no lock, which wasn't great, especially if ur sharing a house with your family. The 3rd issue isn't that big a deal, but I'll still mention it. The place has no dining table or chairs so eating the sofa was the only option.

Reviewed Apr 10, 2024Perfect location: both Peak District and Northern Wales are all in one-hour drive range, while local businesses and large chain stores are in five minutes walk. The house is very clean and cozy. Despite all the noisy streets and carriageways just a few hundred meters away, the house is very quiet and a peaceful place to sleep in.
A dinner table could come in handy — there's a bar table in the kitchen but it is only large enough for two.
