Bentota No 1

The property stands in lovely grounds and is in a great location close to the ocean and with the river at the other side. The accommodation is spacious with two buildings each with two units and a large shared dining and relaxation area. The staff, Kamal, Tony and Sandaruwah, were fantastic and made it a truly memorable stay for us. The food was delicious.

Es war ein aussergewöhnlicher Ort. Das Personal war fantastisch und sowohl Frühstück (wurde uns in unsere Unterkunft gebracht) als auch das Essen waren sehr gut! Die beiden Häuser sind sehr modern und stilvoll eingerichtet und liegen in einem wunderschönen Garten zwischen Lagune und Meer. Es gab einen langen Pool mit Liegestühlen und für uns wurden auch Ausflüge organisiert. Der Strand ist unglaublich schön und man konnte gut im Meer baden. Wir hoffen dass wir eines Tages wieder zurückkehren können!

Nádherné místo k relaxaci, perfektně zařízené pokoje, úžasný bazén a krásně udržovaná zahrada. Personál naprosto profesionální a velmi milý. Moc děkujeme, určitě se vrátíme.

Все было абсолютно потрясающе: очень красивые виллы, большая территория, супер сервис, отличный бассейн. Отель стоит практически на пляже — чистом, огромном, как в рекламе Баунти, практически пустынном (при этом сервис и развлечения на пляже есть). Сто процентов рекомендую

Tæt på stranden. Venligt personale. Store rum.

Slidt interiør. Badeværelser/toiletter manglede afkalkning og rengøring. Myrer i toilet- og badeværelser. Frøer/tudser i stuen, der gemte sig oppe under siden på rampen. Meget beskeden morgenmad. Ingen juice. Ingen yoghurt. Lille frugtanretnning, hvor frugten ikke altid var frisk. Myrer i marmeladen. Pletter på tæpper og gardiner.

Eine aussergewöhnliche Architekten-Villa , die von Grösse, Architektur und Inneneinrichtung aussergewöhnlich ist und in jeder Beziehung einmalig. Die Vorderfront lässt sich komplett aufschieben und Wohnbereich und Park verschmelzen. Die Wirkung der Räume und die eigens entworfenen Möbel rücken die Villa in die Richtung eines Gesamtkunstwerkes ( ich bin kein Architekturkritiker, aber hier kommt man ins Schwärmen). Faktisch eigener Koch, Butler und Servicekräfte sind permanent dienstbereit da. Ein Luxus, wie kein Sterne-Hotel bieten kann. Auf dem riesigen Grundstück trifft man sich mit den anderen Gästen praktisch nicht. Am eigenen Anleger starten je nach Gusto alle Wassersportaktivitäten ( Safari, paddeln, Wasserski, Bananaboot, Jetski was auch immer). Kaum jemand wird derartigen Luxus bei sich zuHause haben. Einsamer sauberer Strandabschnitt.

Garden, pool and big beach

Naprosto úžasné!!! Krásné místo, dlouhý a každý den čistý bazén, ubytování i jídlo bylo naprosto vyjímečné!!! Hned za vilou je moře, kde se dá koupat a pláž byla naprosto úchvatná. Celé místo je hlídané, je tu naprosté ticho a klid. My jsme měli štěstí, že jsme tu byli úplně sami a o to víc si to mohli v klidu užívat. Nic vám tu nebude chybět. Jídlo, veškeré pití a každodenní úklid pokoje. Místní personál pro vás udělá vše, co vám na očích vidí. Travice byl báječný člověk, se kterým si skvěle popovídáte, a který se nám osobně věnoval po celou dobu pobytu, což bylo úžasné. Ale nerada bych opomenula i další personál, kterým jsme dali soukomé přezdívky Honda, Plukovník a Účetní :-) Snad si to přečtou, protože se v tom jistě najdou a pobaví je to. Všichni byli skvělí a milí, což by se dalo říct o lidech ze Srí Lanky obecně. Jednou se sem rádi vrátíme!

The property is amazing and huge. We had a villa to ourselves and it was tranquil and private. The river and beach were on either side of the property which was quiet and convenient. The staff are very attentive and helpful and the food was just amazing. We would definitely book this place again when visiting sri lanka.

The villa is so beautiful and big. Nicely designed. The staff are amazing. I was sick for a few days and was well taken care of by staff, especially Travice, who checked up on me and helped me get better. So much appreciated. The food was nice and location was beautiful. Very recommend. The service was very good and personal. We felt very welcomed.

Tolles Personal.

Beautiful architectural spacious villa. Quiet, felt like we had the whole place to ourselves as the second villa was place back from ours, so only need to be in contact if you want to. Plus views exceptional, with beautiful gardens, view of the river and the most beautiful beach on the other side. Kamal and Tony take care of everything, from aranging and serving great meals in the villa prepared by the lovely chef, to providing Tuk Tuk for visits to Bentota town. And finally the very pleasant security guard, who took care of the villa and from a discrete distance even made sure that we were 100% safe when we were on the beach! Really couldn’t ask for more!

Not a lot. A few things need updating, wear and tear etc. The lock on the bedrooms need replacing, even when locked the doors just push open.

Расположение отеля отличное: с одной стороны территория граничит с рекой, с другой стороны сразу через тротуар начинается пляж. Пляж огромный, в меру тихий и чистый. на территории отеля бассейн чистый, дают хорошие полотенца. Все ребята, кто там работает моментально реагируют на просьбы. Мебель в апартаментах добротная, квадратура большая.

Lovely villa, pool, super close to a lovely quiet beach

We booked No 1 Bentota as a family for our final night in Sri Lanka. We booked it as it was described as a two bedroom villa - two bedrooms, two bathrooms, private lounge and dining area. On arrival we were shown to a bedroom within one of the villas and told that only this room was a our private space. It turned out that they had taken a booking for the other bedroom in the villa - therefore meaning we expected to share the communal space with another couple and more significantly had only been allocated one bedroom instead of two. After we had pointed this out and showed them the Booking.com reservation that clearly stated a two bedroom villa, this meant the staff had to make a few calls to the off-site management. They had no other accommodation available that they could offer us. Thankfully we were only due to stay one night and fly out early the next morning. If this mistake had happened on a booking for several nights then it would have had significant impact on our holiday. Also worth mentioning that the bedroom we had allocated had no internal lock; which was less than ideal given we had a child with us. We had shared use of the lounge, tv and fridge with the other couple. We were surprised given the obvious error from the site management, that we had to ask for our room rate to be reduced. Would have thought this should have been offered straight away. We were clearly not going to pay the rate for sole use of a two bedroom villa when we were only allocated one bedroom. The off-site management did eventually agree to our request for a rate reduction. The property itself was lovely with nice grounds and pool. Shame the management error spoiled our last night in Sri Lanka

Die Lage ist genial. Direkt an einem sehr schönen Strand mit weichem Sand. Was jedoch außergewöhnlich war, ist das Haus: Ein 150m2 Bungalow im Bauhausstil. Die Bilder zeigen exakt, was man erhält: Ein Wohnraum mit unglaublichen 96m2 Wohnfläche, Marmorfußboden, einer zweiten Ebene, die über ein sanfte 10m Rampe erreicht wird. Ein großer, massiver Esstisch, Loungesofa, Designermöbel - angefertigt für das Haus. Eine 12m lange 4,5m hohe Fensterfront mit dunklem Holz, die den Blick zu einem toll angelegten, palmenbestandenen Garten gestattet, in dem ein ebenfalls mehr als 10m langer Pool den Mittelpunkt darstellt. Der Schlafraum (50m2) ist zum Wohnraum mit raumhohen verglasten Raumteilern abgegrenzt. Moderne, minimalistische Einrichtung gibt dem Ganzen einen sachlichen, aber doch wohnlichen Charakter. Es ist auf jeden Fall Geschmackssache. Wir mochten es sehr. Alles ist sehr sauber. Kleine Stellen wie ein wenig angelaufenes Chrom im Bad oder ähnliches sind der Lage direkt am Meer geschuldet. Es gibt einen Butlerservice (wirklich!) Angenehm unaufdringlich und sehr serviceorientiert. Andere Gäste berichteten von unangenehmen "Verkaufsversuchen" für Attraktionen. Wir erlebten nix dergleichen. Wir haben uns für das Abendessen in der Location entschieden und haben es nicht bereut: Zwei Fischplatten und eine Flasche Wein zum fairen Preis und beides wirklich gut. Das Frühstück ebenfalls vom Buttler serviert: Frisch, lecker und im Preis inbegriffen. Fazit: Hervorragend!

Such friendly and helpful staff. Food was good. Location is absolutely stunning. Peaceful with water on both sides (lagoon and ocean) beautiful swimming pool. Gorgeous, very spacious rooms and living areas. Beautifully designed.

Small minus is the beach without sunbeds and umbrella. But villa is really perfect

Amazing property, seconds from a lovely clean, safe beach. Huge rooms to relax in and the staff were really attentive to our needs. Pool was clean and the perfect temperature and the grounds were lush and green. We had a great stay!

Lage zwischen Fluss und Ozean/Strand

Allgemeiner Zustand ist heruntergekommen: Nassräume (Dusche / Toilette mit Ablagerunden an Chromteilen), Pool mit Algenablagerungen, Essen eher schlecht, nichts Besonderes. Feuchte Wände. Decken teils feucht, Farbe und Verputz löst sich.

Tolle Lage zwischen Bentota River und dem Meer. Großzügige Villa mit schlicht schönem, modernen Mobiliar. Großer Pool im Garten mit altem Baumbestand. Freundlicher Service.

Our apartment was vast and very well appointed. Lovely beach very close by. Lovely river alongside the garden - there are fish to be caught there - but not by me ! The guys looking after the place ( and us ) were very helpful and friendly and the food was very good. There are only the two properties and we were barely aware of the other folks staying. The pools is a very good size.

Minor electrical issues ( lights) needed sorting - but we were given a lamp which solved the problem.

weit weg von großen Hotels, am Meer und am Bentota River gelegen, max. Belegung 12 Personen- ideal für den Familenurlaub. Eigener Pool, Butlerservice und Koch sind vor Ort. Die Anlage wird bewacht.
