Second time staying. Always very clean and quiet. Great location for me.

Check-in took a half hour to figure out. Be sure you have the lock box code provided in the automated email with you! There was no breakfast provided. I had to request the basics of coffee, shampoo, and drinking water. On arrival, the five-gallon bottle of drinking water was nearly empty. The property is not in a central location and is on a steep hill. If you plan to use the bus, you need to be comfortable climbing a hill. Plan your trips around workday rush hours, as the buses are often full then. You will need to stand, and the bus will pass by your stop if it is full.

We had difficulty getting into the room. Messaging through the Bookings.com app didn't work. I eventually connected to the host through What's app. I would recommend doing that before your stay! We would have greatly appreciated more information about how the bus and ferry transportation works; it's challenging to figure out. You can speak with someone at an information center. They are very helpful. Taxis are exceedingly expensive. I know it's not under the host's control, but the frogs' high-pitched croaking all night was impossible to tune out. Bring your earplugs!

Children upstairs were running around a lot. TV service not the best.

Air conditioning kept turning off after every 30min - 1 hour at night disturbing sleep. No table + chair to sit and eat food we prepared in the kitchen

The apartment was convenient--just up the hill from a pharmacy which also had an excellent food bar, from a post office where one could purchase transit passes and from bus stops.

The apartment seemed newly remodeled and was VERY nice.

The air conditioner is in the kitchen but the cool air never seems to leave that space, An oscillating fan on a pole next to the stove should help a lot.
