It's a traditional little guesthouse, and the owner is very nice. It's very clean. The neighborhood is very commercial, making it a great place to stroll around at night.The price for a single room is very reasonable.

However, the pillows and blankets smelled of other guests.

Good location on a quiet residential alley in the medina, not far away from the closest tram stop and also convenient for the Rabat Ville train station. Very affordable. I visited during the Moroccan winter - although there is no central heating, a heating device and a huge amount of blankets were provided.

A few small or less small details which were odd and mean that the place currently lags behind its potential. No sign on the entance, just the house number, not the easiest and most quiet way to lock the room door, no waste bin in the room, the room has windows facing the corridor which have iron bars but otherwise cannot be closed and if somebody wants, they can open the window itself from the outside. The stairs are quite steep. The toilet is one floor below the room and its door is very peculiar: exiting the toilet, even for me, a man somewhat below the average male height of my ethnicity, the door only reaches the level of my neck. Maybe some of these are minor issues but combined they make L'Oa a clumsier place to stay than it could be.

Tout était formidable et impeccable, du calme à la propreté des lieux, mais surtout, et c’est le plus important l’accueil et la gentillesse de l’hôte. Je le remercie infiniment pour ce mois inoubliable dans la plus belle ville du Royaume. À refaire sans aucun doute !

Das Zimmer war in Ordnung, jedoch wurde die Bettwäsche vermutlich nicht gewechselt (dies hatte ich auch beim anderen Zimmer festgestellt). Zudem ist das Haus nicht wirklich gut erhalten. Das Dach ist nur provisorisch montiert, wodurch es häufiger laut knallt und der Wind bis ins Zimmer zieht. Ebenfalls ein Vogel lebt dadurch im Gemeinschaftsbereich, wodurch an mehreren Stellen Vogelkot ist. In Summe gibt es einige Kritikpunkte, welche vom europäischem Standard abweichen und schlechter als vergleichsweise Unterkünfte in Marokko waren.

The location was amazing, really central and close to main sights. Very close to one huge street with many shops, food vendors etc. The host was also very kind, he gave me all the necessary information that I needed and some tips on where to go in town, what to visit and so on. He even offered his WhatsApp number so that I can message him if I end up having some questions. The room itself is also nice, good size and I even had space to unzip my big luggage and keep it open the whole time.

My issue is, that I believe my bedding sheets have not been changed and clean at the time of my arrival. I could immediately tell by the color of the pillowcase (the sheets were white) but my opinion was reassured once I smelled the pillowcase, it did not smell clean or fresh, most likely left from the person who was in the room before me. Another slight issue was the heating, I found it a bit cold in the room considering it is January. Even though, some sort of an electrical heater is provided in the room, that didn’t really help much or make the room feel warmer as it was very small. Ideas for improvement: please add bins to the rooms, I really needed one for my trash.

I truly enjoyed my stay at the riad. It is very centrally located, close to all the main touristic sights of Rabat, while still being extremely calm at night. The property itself is beautiful and full of charm. I visited Rabat during a particularly cold period, but everything was thoughtfully arranged: I had a heater and plenty of warm blankets, which made my stay very comfortable. The host is truly gentle and helpful, which made the experience even more pleasant.

The room where I stayed was quite decent and pristine.

The shared bathroom felt bit uncomfortable to use, especially the low headroom while accessing the facility. Secondly the water disposal/drainage was bit clogged while using. The room where I stayed also lacked cupboard or hangers/pegs for hanging clothes.

Locatie is top, pal in het oude centrum van Rabat.

Malgré la propriété des lieux (chambre, cuisine, salle de bain) pas sûr que les draps de lit avaient été changés (ça sentait un peu la transpiration…), mais si vous faites abstraction de ça, tout va bien.

I had a great stay here especially for the price. The house was clean, the kitchen had everything I needed, and I even had the possibility to do my laundry, which was super convenient. I’d seen some older reviews mentioning small issues, but honestly, if you tell Mehdi, he fixes it immediately. He really takes care of everything. Compared to other places I’ve stayed in Morocco, the mattress was very comfortable, and there was even a hairdryer in my room. The place is in a quiet side street close to restaurants and main sights. Overall, a great and comfortable 10 day stay. I would definitely come back.

The room was clean and had good fresh air from the windows. The owner is very nice and he even let me put my bag in storage for the day after I checked out. Very friendly and really great location!

Everything was brilliant

The location is excellent, just 15 minutes walking from Rabat Ville train station and to Oudayas(seaside). I really like the path filled with plants outside the house. The room is warm and cute with four windows at the second floor and I got everthing I need. The bathroom is at the ground floor but there is a washbasin outside the room. The host is super nice and friendly, always happy and ready for help. Although he can't speak English, but translation is enough. And for those who speak French and Arabic that wouldn't be a problem.

It has a good location, the host is welcoming and the house is beautiful.

Someone was speaking relatively loud in the middle of the night (like 1:30 am I think) and I think it was the host and a arriving guest. This made it difficult to sleep as there is no isolation and I heard everything. But it did'nt was too long.

The owner is a fantastic person, very helpful.

If you more than 1.5m accessing the toilet and bathroom is a problem but you will get used to it after banging your head a few times.

Staff were very accommodating of all of my requests, going out of their way to facilitate things happening. The home is the original old Medina design and makes you properly live the experience. Do keep in that Medina uses no fans or air-conditioning, only natural air which to be far was more than nice enough, at this was during June heat. 10/10 stay would recommend

Good Location, Good Price, Friendly Staff

Bathroom is a little small.

It felt like staying in a local house! Perfectly located in the center to explore the Medina and around 15 min walk to the train station. Quiet at night since it’s at the end of a side street. The owner who lives there, and his brother who I had the chance to meet, are both super friendly. On arrival he immediately helped me to get a SIM card (he even paid for it in advance since I didn’t have small bills yet). Overall house and rooms are simple but you’ll find everything you need, it was still pretty cold at night during my stay so the stove available in the room was essential. Shared bathroom is on a different floor (in my case), but that didn’t bother me at all. There is a sink available on the first floor. Didn’t use the kitchen but it seemed well equipped and there’s also a terrace available.

Just a few adjustments in the bathroom and terrace would make it better

The bathroom is a little bit small.

There was a heater in the room. The kitchen. It’s clean. We didn’t see the owner very much so it was more or less private.

The room looks a bit like a prison cell with harsh lighting. The floor looks dirty but it’s just stains that belong there. The bathroom is weird, it’s under a flight of stairs with a small door of 1.50 in height. Of course it’s not very pleasant to go to the bathroom downstairs at night but we knew that upfront. We paid a little more than 70 euros for three nights, I think it’s too much for what you get.

Very centrally located next to the main souk street with all the shops and restaurants and snacks nearby. Traditional Moroccan house that the owner just inherited from his mother, so it is still in the process of refurbishment. Fully equiped kitchen for guests.

No toilet nor bathroom on the first floor where all the three rooms are situated, so the guests have to go downstairs 15 high steps to reach these facilities. The owner has plan to add toilet facilities to the first floor, and electric heaters to the rooms in winter.

I had an amazing experience staying at this riad! From the moment I walked in, the place smelled fantastic and was spotlessly clean. Mahdi was incredibly helpful and super friendly, making me feel like part of his family. He warmly welcomed me and even helped me get a SIM card at 9 something PM. He also took the time to show me around, recommending great places to eat and advising on spots to avoid. The riad has a well-equipped kitchen and a massive fridge, which was very convenient. The stay was quiet, and I slept comfortably every night. The location is great, and Mahdi was always available if needed while respecting privacy, which made me feel very safe and at ease. This place truly felt like home! Highly recommend it!

The bathroom on the ground floor is a bit inconvenient as the room is on the first floor, but this is likely due to the traditional structure of Moroccan riads. There is a sink on the first floor, but no water comes out; minimal maintenance would likely be enough to fix it. The bathroom on the ground floor is somewhat small, and there are a few issues (such as a loose knob) that could be resolved with basic maintenance. The kitchen is usable, but a microwave would be a helpful addition.

The host was friendly although there was a bit of a language barrier. I was left alone which I highly appreciated. Possibility to cook and use utensils. Possibility to wash clothes with rooftop washing machine for no extra cost, although the machine itself was filthy, neglected. Wifi was working seamlessly all around.

Overall cleanliness leave much to be desired.

Ideal location in the medina but still totally quiet in the room only 1 minute from all the hustle & bustle of the late evening medina madness. And Mehdi of course! He is a super helpful & happy host.

I felt I left my house to another house cos of the comfort and cleanness and quitness of the place..the host was really quite nice easy person to have in the house even though you thought he's not there. It had kitchen to use and shower / toilet downstairs. We did mind that cos we fit enough to go down few stairs to get to it. Location is the heart of what all visitors of this beautifull city love to discover see and enjoy .literally walking distance to reach. All from historic places sea and river. We coming back !!

Don't book it if you you have weak bladder and have to keep going down to use the loo .

The property was generally clean and had all the necessary amenities you need e.g. kitchen, washing machine, bathroom, just note you will be sharing these with those living in the riad, so for our stay it was with Mehdi, the owner of the house (but it was not a problem for us). It was also very close (less than a minute walk) to the medina (markets and food stalls) but the street that the house is in is quiet. Great location as it was close to the beach (10 min walk), close to the tram station (5min walk). The food stalls provide a variety of food at quite a cheap price, but you can also buy food ingredients or toiletries or other essentials at the medina that is close to the house. Mehdi was great as he showed us around the area showing us great spots to eat and to hang out in. Also to note the bedroom has two single beds, so if you are a couple just to bear that in mind, but it is clean and well looked after.

The kitchen could have been kept cleaner by putting away certain food items away instead of being left overnight as it would attract ants.

I had an amazing time there, it's really in the heart of Rabat Medina but VERY QUIET, because it is a small street with dead end without any noisy restaurants or snack bars with a nice neighbourhood a lot of plants and flowers in front of each house. All kind of places where to have great food, best coffee ever and crazy shopping are just hundred meters away. If you need any help the owner is always available with a smile. Hope to come back soon!
