Reviewed Sep 14, 2026Loved all the books everywhere, room was very comfortable and clean. EXCELLENT and plenty of towels! LOVED the lit mirror (very cool). Hosts did a continental breakfast, which was fine. They were very interesting to talk to and we quite enjoyed the visit. We would be happy to book with them again.
NOT their fault, but the GOOGLE map took us to the wrong place first, but we figured it out quickly. Should have remembered the yellow door they mentioned! My fault!

Reviewed Sep 4, 2026Die Gastfreunschaft der Besitzer war war super. Sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Das Frühstück war sehr persönlich, es fand am privaten Küchentisch der Vermieter statt.
Es war leider sehr unruhig, da unser Zimmer zur Straße lag. Der Autoverkehr war lange zu hören und ging auch früh wieder los. Auch die Nachbarschaft war sehr unruhig. Es ist ein Privathaus in einer Wohngegend.

Reviewed Sep 4, 2026It was perfect for a stopover as part of a long journey but would also be handy as a central location to explore the wider area. The hosts Declan and Maire were delightful. Room was lovely and included en suite facilities. A very enjoyable light breakfast was provided.
It was ideal for what we needed. Another parking space within the drive would be a good asset especially in the busier summer months?

Reviewed Aug 25, 2026Nice selection of cereals, yoghurts, toast, fruit etc! Location was good for us, but not really a walk into town which others may prefer (we didn't mind!) Really cosy beds! Such friendly hosts! Great that we had our own lounge with Sky TV! Will definitely return (if we're able!)

Des petits déjeuners super avec même un matin un Irish breakfast. Parking aisé. Situé à 12 mns à pied du centre ville où il est est également facile de se garer. Excellent rapport qualité prix. Merci

Reviewed Jul 16, 2026The owners were very welcoming and kind. Check in was meant to be 5pm but we were arriving around 3pm and they had no problem with that. Beautiful house and a great deal. Would definitely stay again. Fresh fruit and yoghurt for breakfast along with great coffee plus cereal.
There's nothing we didn't like.

A definite home from home with access to sitting room, family kitchen, garden. Double room with ensuite was tastefully decorated. Would recommend.

Reviewed Jun 4, 2026We loved everything about our stay. Maire and Declan are the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. There was no curfew and we could come and go as we pleased. We had the use of a sitting room with TV including sky TV. The property was warm and clean, everything was bob on. They made our first ever trip to Ireland even more memorable than we thought possible. The bedroom was roomy and comfortable and had an en suite bathroom. We had access to the large front and back gardens, we had access to the kitchen as well and we got on really well with our hosts and now see them both as good friends. It truly was a home from home and we highly recommend this property and hosts for your perfect break. Thank you both so much for all you did for us 😍

Reviewed May 19, 2026Super nette Inhaber. Sehr höflich und komunikativ. Haben uns mit Tee und Keks begrüßt und uns alles ausführlich gezeigt. Dann noch ein Tip wo wir noch zu Abend essen konnten. Die Frühstückszeit wurde abgesprochen und so haben wir uns noch mit den Gastgebern gestärkt bevor unsere Rundreise weiter ging. Zum Abschluss trotz nur einer Übernachtung eine herzliche Verabschiedung. So etwas behält man gerne in Erinnerung
Die Matratzen sind weich und ich mag sie hart. Aber ob man das als schlecht sehen kann?

Reviewed May 13, 2026Sie mieten eines von drei Zimmern im Obergeschoss eines Einfamilienhauses ohne separaten Eingang. Die beiden Vermieter wohnen mit Ihnen. Ebenso wie zwei große Katzen, die im Hause allgegenwärtig sind. Die Ausstattung des Hauses hat einen gewissen irischen Charme, an dem die vermieteten Zimmern teilnehmen. Als Westdeutscher fühlt man sich an günstige Ferienquartiere in den 1980ern an Ost- oder Nordsee erinnert. Das Einzelbad dürfte wohl in dieser Zeit letztmalig renoviert worden sein, was fast nicht mehr akzeptabel ist. Gerissenes Waschbecken, undichtes Fenster, nur sporadisch warme Heizung und lose Toilettenbrille lassen grüßen. Das irische Frühstück besteht hier aus Joghurt, Cerealien, Milch, etwas Obst, grob geschnittenem Brot, Butter und Marmelade. Das war's!
Verstehen Sie mich nicht falsch, das soll kein Verriss sein. Wer Sinn für das Urige hat, kann es hier aushalten und trifft in den herzlich-offenen Vermietern reizende Botschafter ihres Landes. Ich selbst würde das nächste Mal den höheren Preis für ein Hotel ans Bein binden.

Reviewed Feb 24, 2026It was our second time to stay with Maire and Declan, who are so warm and friendly. Our twin room had all we needed. Great shower facilities, everything was spotless. We had a lovely healthy breakfast, loved the fresh fruit salad and good coffee. Great chats with our hosts and lots of laughs. We occasionally work in Longford and need a place to stay, so we are very happy to have such a relaxing place we can rely on.
Not our hosts fault, but the weather wasn't great!
