Reviewed May 11, 2026Peaceful and easy to find in a well placed location for our stay in the area. The facilities are high quality: and compared favourably to an hotel. Our hosts were charming and responsive, for example the excellent advice on restaurants and access to Spa-Francorchamps, which also compare favourably to an hotel. I almost want an excuse just to go back again.
Wifi was welcome and reliable but seemed slow. Not measured and could have been me. No other negatives at all.

Reviewed Nov 23, 2025Wij hadden een super romantisch verblijf bij ‘Au Coq et fa gnes’. Charlotte is een super attente en vriendelijke gastvrouw. Die er alles aan heeft gedaan om ons welkom te heten. Het plekje is een perfect uitvalsbasis om bij de Hoëgne of de Hoge Venen te gaan wandelen of om de lokale kerstmarkt te bezoeken. Een aanrader!

Reviewed Nov 23, 2025Fantastische lokatie, beter dan verwacht. Huisje is prachtig, gezellig, helemaal in orde en proper. Alles aanwezig wat je nodig hebt met een wat luxe. De goede wifi was toch meer nodig dan verwacht omdat de 5G verbinding niet altijd werkt daar. Dus toch blij dat dit aanwezig was. Ontvangst was heel fijn. Je wordt ook direct geholpen als je problemen of vragen hebt. De nodige privacy heb je ook. Ik ben hier helemaal tot rust gekomen. In de omgeving veel prachtige wandelingen kunnen doen. De parkeerplek is ook heel handig bij het huisje. Zeker een aanrader!

The place was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with so many thoughtful details that made it feel like home. The location was ideal, and everything was perfectly prepared for our stay. Truly one of the best accommodations we’ve experienced—we would love to return!

Reviewed May 12, 2025This property is really well-situated in the Liege area of the Ardennes, and is walkable/short car ride to a lot of nice hikes (eg, Hoegne valley). The gite itself is very lovely and well-taken-care-of (feels brand new, actually). The owners are delightful and very helpful. Charlotte makes delicious food that you can also order to the gite if you don't want to cook for yourself or venture out - we had a lovely quiche lunch one day. Grocery stores etc. are quite close (5-10 mins by car) though if you want to get your own supplies.
Not much negative to say about this place actually! If I had any comments, it would be to point out that our gite had a ladder to the sleeping loft - just something to be aware of if you have mobility issues, as it was not completely clear from the listing. Not a problem for us (added to the charm) but could be for others.
