Excellente Unterkunft in wunderschönem und hochwertig eingerichtetem Haus und super freundliche und sympathische Gastgeber. Man kann die Küche mitbenutzen und sich einen Imbiss zubereiten, sehr praktisch. Wir haben uns gerne in dem großzügigen und gemütlichen Wohnzimmer aufgehalten und die mit viel Kunst gestaltete Einrichtung genossen. Es gibt viel zu sehen und zu bestaunen. Sehr gutes und abwechslungsreiches Frühstück. Wir haben uns ausgesprochen wohl gefühlt und kommen sehr gerne wieder! Vielen Dank!

Wij kwamen met de fiets! Ontbijt was heel goed. fijn dat ook alles voorzien was in 't winkeltje om zelf te koken. heel mooi uitzicht vanuit de tuin! ook de avondverlichting was leuk!

Tip: voor fietsers een stopcontact buiten voorzien om de batterij op te laden.

We had our first experience staying in a B&B with our puppy, and it was absolutely everything we could have hoped for! From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcome. The owners are truly amazing: incredibly friendly, thoughtful and helpful, and they made us and our pup feel right at home. The rooms and spaces are beautiful, comfortable and perfectly maintained. The facilities are fantastic, and everything has clearly been thought through to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. And the breakfast… absolutely delicious and so generous! A perfect start to the day. We couldn’t have wished for a better place for our first B&B experience with our puppy. We would happily come back and highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone looking for a relaxing and welcoming stay in the Ardennes!

A B&B in a super charming house, with wonderful hosts who are very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The rooms are lovely and beautifully decorated with art and antique furniture. What I also really liked is that the main floor (with the kitchen, living room, and reading room) as well as the terrace and garden are available for guests to enjoy. The B&B also has a unique little gift shop.

The location, the art, the coziness, the design, the breakfast, the shop, the room, the homeliness of the living, the shop and its quality products, and to top it all the friendliness of the hosts. Honestly everything was perfect. Such care and energy has gone into this that you feel it everywhere. Would highly recommend it and actually already send it to multiple friends already!

Dans une maison décorée avec le plus grand goût, nous avons été accueillies par le charmant couple de propriétaires. La chambre était très confortable. L'épicerie remplie de bons produits pour le repas du soir. Le petit déjeuner excellent. Pas du tout envie de partir !

Absolutely beautiful. The attention to detail in this property was outstanding. Every part of this stay was amazing, from the house itself, to the bedrooms, comfy beds, the beautiful quiet setting and the breakfast was gorgeous. We stayed with our little dog and she was made at home, she loved the house and the hospitality of the wonderful hosts. Thank you for this little paradise!

Unsere Gastgeber waren top Die Einrichtung ist sehr originell. Die dezente Musik, die verschiedenen Lichtquellen, die ganze Atmosphäre. Tavolata beim Frühstück. Der tolle Laden! Eigentlich einfach Alles!

Kann man nicht besser machen! Für einen längeren Aufenthalt fehlen die Ausflugsziele in der näheren Umgebung.

Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und sehr lecker. Unsere Gastgeber haben sich aufmerksam um unsere Wünsche gekümmert, neben einem reichhaltig gedeckten Tisch gab es frisch zubereitete Eierspeisen und Getränke. Das Haus ist liebevoll und geschmackvoll dekoriert, es gibt in jedem Raum immer wieder Neues zu entdecken, im Shop kann Kunsthandwerk aus der Gegend erworben werden. Außerdem gibt es verschiedene Schokolade, Marmeladen, Brotaufstriche, Sekt und Bier und vieles mehr zu kaufen. Es gibt einen Kühlschrank, in dem man seine eigenen Lebensmittel unterstellen kann. Außerdem gibt es komplette Mahlzeiten im Glas zu kaufen, die man sich in der Küche selbst zubereiten kann. Die beiden Gastgeber sind äußerst hilfsbereit und dezent. Wir konnten schöne Gespräche führen und haben gute Tipps bekommen.

Uns hat alles sehr gut gefallen und wir empfehlen diese Unterkunft vorbehaltlos weiter.

De host was ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam met zeer goede tips over de omgeving. Wij voelde ons zeer welkom en de guesthouse is als thuiskomen in een warm bad. Het ontbijt zeer goed met streekproducten, de lunch die wij meenamen op wandeltocht was voortreffelijk.

Beautifully decorated, from the moment you step in. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the location was perfect to start a number of lovely walks/hikes. Julien and Fred were welcoming and friendly hosts and any questions they were quick to respond with personal recommendations. The shop is a lovely little addition with its pre-made gourmet meals. We cooked in the kitchen and decided not to go out for dinner so we could enjoy our evenings in front of the fireplace. What a magical place. I look forward to staying again! <3

Très bel accueil dans un endroit de rêve, au calme et au milieu de la nature. Le lieu est merveilleusement bien décoré . La chambre était chaleureuse, très propre et très bien décoré . Le petit déjeuner était copieux et avec des produits bio et de la région . Je reviendrai sans aucune hésitation.

De locatie was voor ons schitterend. Rustige omgeving, veel wandelmogelijkheden. Vanuit de B&B is het ook perfect mogelijk om uitstappen in de omgeving te doen. Voor ons was het ontbijt meer als in orde.

Ontbijt was helemaal prima. Prachtige omgeving, mooie kamer en heel mooi huis met alles wat je nodig hebt. Daarnaast een erg aardige en hulpvaardige gastheer. Het is ons erg goed bevallen

Und hat alles sehr gut gefallen. Man hat sich sehr willkommen gefühlt. Alles super gemütlich Frederic und Julien sind sehr hilfsbereit. Man merkt das sie alles mit Herz machen. Eine super Idee die Gäste zum Frühstück an einen Tisch zu setzen. Man kommt so gleich in Kontakt und fühlt sich zuhause. Im unteren Bereich darf man alles benutzen und kann sogar im Shop „einkaufen“ für das Abend-/oder Mittagessen.

Die Gastgeber Julien und Fred waren äußerst hilfsbereit, freundlich und professionell. Sie haben es geschafft für einen da zu sein, ohne dass man es als übertrieben oder aufdringlich empfunden hat. Daher fühlte man sich von Anfang an sehr wohl. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll und in unterschiedlichen Themen gestaltet. Da wir insgesamt 3 Zimmer mit der Familie in Anspruch genommen haben, war für uns der gemeinsame Aufenthaltsraum / Wohnzimmer ideal um zusammen zu kommen.

Heel hartelijke ontvangst in deze bijzondere B&B. Alles keurig verzorgd en super dat we na onze late aankomst nog een heerlijke soep uit de regio konden kopen en klaarmaken.

Si l' on peut donner une note plus que parfait alors c est celle là que nous donnerons à la chambre d'hôtes "l'Art de la Fugue" . Une chambre d'hôtes comme nous n'en n'avons rarement vues. Une très belle maison décorée avec beaucoup de goût et de soin . Malgré la diversité et la quantité d'objets, tout est à sa place sans être surchargé. C est vraiment très classe. La chambre au calme et la literie très confortable. L'accueil de Fred et Olivier fut super sympathique. Et le petit déjeuner servi par Fred était très gourmand avec tous des produits de terroir. La boutique bien achalandée donne vraiment envie de goûter aux produits. Certes cela vaut une note de 10 à tout point de vue. Et si nous avons l'occasion... nous reviendrons. Bravo et bonne continuation 👌👏👍

Eine ansprechende, großzügige, sehr kreativ und interessant eingerichtete und gemütliche Unterkunft. Man möchte sich überall nur hinsetzen und schauen und verweilen. Super ausgestattete Küche, die man mitbenutzen darf, das ist sehr praktisch. Landestypische, saubere Zimmer mit hervorragenden Betten. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Perfekt!

L'art de la fugue is een oase van rust. De ontvangst is zeer persoonlijk en vriendelijk. Het hele gebouw is met heel veel goede smaak en zin voor het detail ingericht. De omgeving is prachtig en zeer geschikt voor wandelingen en fietstochten.

De ligging en de klassevolle inrichting en afwerking.

Dit was een super verblijf!! We werden door Frédéric zeer vriendelijk ontvangen. We kregen er een rondleiding en voelden er ons meteen thuis. We kregen een zeer ruime gezellige kamer en grote badkamer ter beschikking. Onze kamer en het ganse huis is zeer smaakvol en gezellig ingericht. Er is een winkeltje met verrassend lekkere streekgerechten, waarmee we in de keuken ons avondmaal konden bereiden. Het ontbijt was eveneens super! We kregen een lekkere picknick mee voor onze wandeltocht. We hadden aangename gesprekjes met Frédéric, zelfs wat in het Nederlands. We zijn vol lof over dit verblijf!

La maison est magnifiquement décorée dans l'esprit brocante. Au calme , dans un environnement très agréable. Les hôtes sont charmants, attentionnés et disponibles tout en étant discrets. La chambre est spacieuse, confortable et elle aussi bien décorée comme toute la maison.

Sehr nette Vermieter, die ihre Zimmer und die Räume für alle Gäste äußerst geschmackvoll eingerichtet haben. Ein Kleinod in den Ardennen, wie man es nur selten findet. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Hezké místo s výhledy, všechno čisté jak má být, pán má v domě vlastní obchod kde si můžete koupit skoro vše na co si vzpomenete. Skvělý přístup pana majitele, asi nejmilejší personál co jsem viděl. Doporučuji 10/10

Vriendelijke gastheren, goede service, ruime keuze in de boetiek, gezellige ruimtes, mooie en propere kamers, mooie wandelingen in de buurt.

Die Unterkunft sieht aus wie ein malerisches Sommerhaus! Der kleine eigene Laden mit Lebensmitteln ist liebevoll sortiert und durchdacht. Auch die Kunst die man sieht steht zum Teil zum Verkauf was einem das Gefühl gibt das man in einer Galerie nächtigt. Alles ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und bis in Detail durchdacht. Man darf die Küche benutzen. Es ist bewusst so gestaltet das man keine Fernseher auf dem Zimmer hat - ein wenig digital Detox. Eine sehr feine Sache. Ich würde das Hotel zu jeder Zeit wieder buchen und zu jederzeit weiterempfehlen. Kleiner Geheimtipp

De gastheren Frédéric en Julien zijn top! De woning en de tuin zijn met zorg ingericht en onderhouden Bij goed weer kan je buiten liggen op zonnebedjes of zitten aan tafeltjes om iets te drinken/eten uit de boutique met streekproducten (of een zelf meegebrachte maaltijd). Een uitgebreid ontbijt met liefde en zorg bereid (en met heerlijke koffie), wat wil een mens nog meer. .

Door de ligging aan de straat hoor je het verkeer wel goed. Niet dat er heel veel auto’s voorbijkomen maar je hoort ze al van heel ver.

Endroit parfait, au calme, très propre. Les propriétaires sont d’une extrême gentillesse et bienveillants tout au long du séjour. Le cadre est magnifique. Vous êtes reçus comme à la maison. Nous avons mangé au restaurant la table de Maxime et ce logement est parfait si vous voulez combiner repos et gastronomie. Supers balades à faire au départ du logement. À peine parti, nous avions déjà envie de revenir… Séjour amplement réussi. Merci à vous 2.

What a wonderful discovery! We stayed two nights there with friends and make no mistake, this beautiful hotel has no peers for quite a distance. You drive into to this quaint little village and here stands this wonderfully restored house made of local stone and very tasteful fittings. In front of you the terrace, with a stone brick backdrop and beautiful flower arrangement, tables and chairs. To the left the local produce shop, to the right a discrete entrance into the guests common sitting room. You are instantly aware that this is somewhere very special. On entering, the attention to detail is simply phenomenal, you are wowed by the modern classic meets British country manor setup. Spotlessly clean with tasteful decorations, you instantly know you have chosen the right place. Frederic the co-owner welcomed us and you quickly realise that he takes great pride in this project, and understandably so, I should add. A very welcoming man with great local knowledge. He showed us to our rooms, each of which with a different look but always following the same theme, country manor luxury. Very comfortable beds, great bathroom fixtures & fittings and again just the right decorations to enhance the wow factor. Frederic took his time to show us around, explain how everything works and we ended up talking about nothing and everything in the kitchen area. The process here is pretty straightforward, the guests from the four rooms can cook for themselves in the evenings, food they have brought along or buy and heat up some of the wonderful local cooked recipes from the store. Prices are reasonable and you can also purchase desserts and of course choose from a variety of wines and local beers. Weather dependent you have the choice of eating in the dining area or on the terrace. Breakfast is just right. Frederic has everything set up and will offer you coffee or tea when you turn up at your chosen time.

The beauty of the house is at the same time outstanding and blends in very well with the charming village of Gembes. It has modern facilities and is decorated with exceptional taste and an eye for detail. Frédéric is incredibly welcoming and always goes above and beyond. It's hard to describe what a great host he is. A great conservationalist, but never overbearing. The breakfast he served was always a great start to the day.

There is nothing to complain about regarding the accommodations. Only public transport is somewhat lacking, especially during the weekend.

Loved all of it!! Amazing hosts, beautiful location, perfect quality and all we would expect for a perfect relaxing weekend.

Frederic & Julien were exceptionally nice hosts, the house has a very nice and cozy interior design and overall I had a very pleasant stay. The breakfast is nice, with fresh bread and local products. Scrambled eggs are made by Frederic himself and you sit with the other guests at one large table. Very nice.

Nothing comes to mind, really. Only one thing could be negative for others: since it is a well renovated, but nevertheless old house, you can hear the other guests in adjacent rooms. Since everyone was mind- and respectful, that was not an issue for me, but might be a useful information for others.

Beautiful location, quirky and gorgeously furnished, full of character and immaculately clean. Genuinely lovely hosts and really nice breakfast. The shop was fabulous and the whole place is filled with interesting things. We will definitely be back as the perfect stopover on our road trips or maybe even spend a few days and enjoy the gorgeous surroundings.

We loved the two nights we spent at this adorable B&B! The gracious hosts are there when you need them but they don't impose. The communal spaces are a delight, as are the cosy art-filled rooms. We made use of the meals in the shop which is filled with local products, and prepared the delicious food in the kitchen. You just help yourself to anything you might want and write it down on a notepad. Breakfast is lovingly presented and very tasty. The whole atmosphere is so relaxed, a great place to rest up after long country walks.
