This is the perfect place to relax. We stayed there for 3 nights, and the people working there are lovely!

The view was beeathtaking, the food was extraordinarly delicious, the staff was very kind and helpful, the rooms and the entire building were cozy - overall the perfect holiday spot. I can only recommend may retreat and would love to come back

Pokój mial byc przyjazny alergikom a nie jest bo kołdra jest z jakiegoś sztucznego dziadoskiego tworzywa bo budzimy sie każdego dnia cali mokrzy. Do tego strasznie duża wilgotność w pokoju sprzyja rozwojowi bakterii i grzybów co również nie jest przyjazne dla alergików. Personel nie mowi kompletnie nic po angielsku, komunikacja przy pomocy tłumacza jest słaba bo albo personel nie rozumie o co chodzi ale nie dopyta albo zwala winę na to ze to bariera językowa jak sie im zwróci uwage ze cos robią inaczej niż mówiliśmy (np. Przy zamawianiu obiadów). Śniadania sa strasznie monotonne maja trzy dania do wyboru ale tylko jedno sie nadawało do jedzenia - omlet. Do tego pieczywo to jest strasznie slodki chleb tostowy wiec pieczywo trzeba sobie kupować samemu. Obiekt każe podpisać regulamin w którym jest napisane m.in. ze obiekt nie ponosi odpowiedzialności za jakiekolwiek zachorowania a obiekt nie stosuje wody butelkowanej do przygotowania posiłków (tylko uzywaja wodę z kranu) wiec to jest jakas kpina ze kaza cos takiego podpisać - finalnie udało nam sie wykłócić żeby dla nas używali wody butelkowanej. Jak zamawialiśmy obiady to dostawaliśmy co innego i tłumaczyli się znowu tym że bariera językowa co jest kpina bo maja menu po angielsku a podaliśmy im dokladnie to co jest w menu. W łazience chodzą karaluchy. Rowery o których piszą że mają do wypożyczenia są tak zardzewiałe że nie jeżdżą i każdemu wciskają kit że czekają na naprawę a przez 16 dni naszego pobytu nic z tym nie zrobili. Manager np. Uwaza ze rower nie jest przystosowany do jazdy jak jest mokro (ciekawe jakie jest specjalne przystosowanie roweru do jazdy na deszczu 😅) więc tylko próbuje wcisnąć kolejny kit żeby dać im spokój z wypożyczeniem roweru żeby nie musieli nic robić.

Everything was beyond our expectations: The staff, Lan and Hoa, were gentle and efficient, providing excellent food and overall level of service. The design of the retreat was among the best we have ever encountered. The view from the retreat is outstanding. Overall, highly recommended.

Tolle Lage, schönes Ambiente: sehr gelungen Kombination aus Tradition & modern , sehr nettes & aufmerksames Personal, sehr gutes Essen , toller Blick auf die Felder & Berge der Region, nur 4 Zimmer, dadurch sehr ruhige & persönliche Atmosphäre

Betten (wie fast überall in Vietnam) seeehr hart, auf der Terrasse müsste mal die ein oder andere Holzlatte ersetzt werden

L'emplacement est incroyable et la vue superbe. On est très hier accueilli par Laan qui est aux petits soins en plus de très bien cuisiner.

C'est en pleine campagne donc un peu bruyant, mais rien qui n'empêche de dormir non plus :)

We like calm, the location and the view. We also like architecture and taste for decoration.

Very beautiful building with very Nice design. The view was fantastic with the Lake and mountain. Food was fine.

It was very difficult to communicate with the staff as they did not speak any english. Much of the communication Weng through person (WhatsApp).

May Retreat was perfect for our group of 4 couple, with 4 seperate bedrooms and an enclosed lounge/communal area up stairs (it was a little cold the night we stayed) we had a great night playing cards on the bean bags. This is truly a beautiful place to stay !

The location is perfect for a retreat, with a beautiful rural scenery in the neighborhood. The staff is so friendly. I would spend more days here if only I knew how relaxing it feels in this place.

Beautiful property with a great view, excellent way to relax

Exceptionally beautiful spot. The staff is very friendly and forthcoming and the food is great! The wooden building is very cozy and quiet and the view is one of the best I have had on my entire Vietnam trip.

The surroundings offer plenty of climbing. Otherwise, it's a bit more limited in terms of day acticities than other areas.

Such a great place!! Amazing food. Fun paddle boarding and lake swimming. Great for working as a digital nomad. Insanely beautiful views. Lovely chilled music playing in the communal areas. Bliss!!

Bed linen could be better, better quality, white and different duvet and pillows.

The place was super quiet and the view from the dining room was amazing! I loved the SUP and the cozy rooms. Also when I had questions, i could contact the owner via WhatsApp and got a fast answer. They managed the whole transport from Hanoi and back, which made it a super relaxing time at May Retreat

I think it would’ve been great if in this price, there where some more beverages included. There was a fridge with beer and Coca Cola. A solution could be to include all drinks in the price and have a public fridge with more drinks than that.

In the middle of nowhere in a little village right by the lake. So beautiful - all the details are just perfect. A great getaway from the Vietnamese hustle and bustle! We accidentally found it on our way back to Hanoi with our motorbikes. The host was so friendly, delicious local food, and just so peaceful.

The food is quite pricy and breakfast was minimum without coffee or tea included.

Great place, if you want to relax. You can just sit whole days and watch the landscapes. Very peaceful. The food was great and big portions. You have to meet the local farmer, Tham, to show you custard apple's trees and rice fields. Ideally, you want to visit this place every time you're in north Vietnam. Great communication from the owner Ha. Everything can be arranged for you. Very pleased ❤️.

The view from the dining area was fantastic. The room is comfortable. Communal areas are very cosy. The food is very good. The vibe is casual and relax. The staff was super friendly even though we had a language barrier. Overall, it is a great place to wind down from an overdose of city life.

There were quite abit of mosquitoes when we arrived. But the bites got lesser as the weather cooled down abit.

It is secluded and very serene, quiet, away from people. Nice view and service. Host was very helpful in arrangements.

Beautiful design and location. The style is rustic but with great attention to detail and modern comfort (private bathrooms, hot shower, AC and fans, etc). The retreat is surrounded by nature, with karst mountains, rice fields, a lake and lots of streams. SUPs are available to the guests and make for great fun in a breathtaking environment. Great effort has been made to create a natural and tranquil atmosphere (no karaoke!). It truly feels like a retreat in nature! Ms Hoa the housekeeper is lovely and helpful. Her home cooked food is amazing!

The bed is a little bit hard (if you have back problems), but overall the rooms are still very comfortable !
