Perfect from start to finish , welcomed by the Lovely hosts and shown across to our private secluded area , everything was immaculate, the incentives where appreciated . Basket of goodies aswell as some lil fridge contents including initials in our butter, with milk for our morning brew , spent our evening between making pizzas in the wood fire pizza burner and enjoying watching the sunset going down . Had a lil gander to the keepers cottage to see the goats and feed them a lil biscuit , designed a lil cork lid with our names and date of stay , back to our poachers hut to have a relaxing evening in the hottub and then watch the stars while sat by the outdoor firepit. Poachers hut living up to its name while we sat watching the sun going down the phesants roamed in the nearby field .

An unforgettable stay with amazing hosts, beautiful surroundings, fantastic pizza, a relaxing jacuzzi, and lots of thoughtful touches that made it feel extra special.

There are not enough superlatives to describe the Poachers Hut. Lorna and Ray met us with huge enphusiasm and big smiles which made us feel exceptionally welcomed. From the delightful goats, flowered meadows to the shepherds hut perched in a prime location, you just felt so chilled and happy to be there. The facilities are second to none. However, the biggest smiles came from the small gestures. Our initials embossed on the butter. Bunting, chocolates and a card left for my birthday. On the second day a carrot cake was left as they remembered me mentioning the day before that it was my favourite. They went above and beyond and frankly we felt like we had made lifelong friends in our short visit.

Welcoming hosts, hot tub under the stars, pizza oven, orange and pink sunsets and the cosiest cabin surrounded by wildlife and beautiful countryside. Attention to detail in the cabin was incredible and we had everything we needed. We immediately felt relaxed and at home. The trip was perfect from start to finish - the only downside is that we wish we had booked longer!! We took part in the Aberfoyle Trail Running Festival - the hot tub was the perfect way to relax after the race. We also visited Doune Castle and The Red Kites, but there was a multitude of attractions and events to choose from - we didn't have enough time to see it all - gives us an excuse to come back. We had a lovely lunch at The Station Cafe in Aberfoyle and an excellent brunch at The Woodhouse Kippen before we visited Flanders Moss Nature Reserve for a walk. We can't wait to return!

What a perfect escape! From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome. The hosts are genuinely lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. The hut itself is just perfect, so well put together with everything we could have needed. We loved the mini herd of goats they kept us laughing every day. The suggestions given by the hosts for places to visit and eat were excellent and made our stay even better. We’ll definitely be back and will be recommending the Poachers Hut to all our friends and family.

From arrival to departure, the service was exceptional. Lorna and Ray, as hosts, make you feel like you have known them forever. They were so friendly and knowledgeable it made the stay. The hut is of exceptional quality. It has everything a visitor could ask for. Although you can't park next to the hut, car parking is not far less than a minute. You can see your car and a very handy trolley helps if you have lots of bags. Lorna and Ray have thought of everything from hampers to those little necessities like milk, butter etc. The hampers on arrival just add to the special quality of the stay. The homemade marmalade is a vitual Lorna hug at breakfast. The pizza oven and the fire bowl are excellent. The hot tub was the sparkle on the trip, so clean and so easy to do. The goats 🐐 are amazing. You can feed them and the cat and dog with free treats. There are chickens, too. There is an amazing circular walk. Sitting out of the hut there are so msny different burds from swallows, to tits to a pheasant who walks across every night (I am no bird watcher but thet were beautiful) On a night, sitting out was amazing the skies are stunning. Can't recommend this place for so many good points. A revisit is planned already.

Really beautiful location, the goats were such a fun surprise and our little area was very private, the hotub was easy to use and the pizza oven made for a fun dinner!

Such an ididilic location, a perfect little slice of paradise for a few days away. The hut is immaculate, well stocked for everything you need and extremely comfortable. We could have not been made to feel more welcome. We will most definitely be back.

Poachers Hut is so amazingly set up! Very private, hot tub has a beautiful view, pizza oven was all set up ready to go and easy to use. So many thoughtful touches like an amazing welcome basket and extra blankets to be able to enjoy the outdoors. Even inside, there’s a lovely little wood burning stove and everything is so nicely designed! Hosts Lorna and Ray are wonderful too, and the resident goats and chickens are just the icing on the cake! Loved it all so much!

Beautiful setting, amazing hosts, and the hut had everything you could want and way more. Amazing welcome hamper, lovely hot tub, fire pit, and the pizza oven was great. A lot of very nice personal touches, would highly recommended to anyone.

Everything was above and beyond what we expected! Beautiful location, the hut was exceptionally homely and our hosts Ray and Lorna added personal touches that made our stay perfect! Without a doubt would stay here again.

The views are spectacular, sitting in the hot tub at night was amazing. The hut is done to a high standard, all the added touches and wood burner to keep you warm on a chilly morning. Pizza over makes a fantastic tasting pizza, was just completely out this world I loved it so much made my birthday was absolutely amazing. Lorna and Ray are so welcoming and made our stay wonderful thanks to you both I would highly recommend a stay at tye hut.

It was the most amazing and peaceful stay ever! I love the animals that were on the property they were so cute and cheeky and a extra bonus u were able to feed them! I loved the owners they were so friendly and helpful and they provided absolutely everything. Well worth the money!
