Rapa Nui, La Residence

Los lugares comunes le dan otro plus, cuentan con cocina, espacios para comer, jacuzzi, piscina... anda muy bien !

Todo, la ubicación, el personal, las instalaciones tanto dentro como fuera de la habitación. Todo genial

Nada a destacar

Good location central for town;nearby restaurants and bars.

Too much noise from the chickens within the grounds of apartments;;if you are light sleepers you'll get no sleep 😴

Free shuttle service from and to airport!

The room is very dirty, and the facilities like pool and kitchen is dirty as well, a lot of cockroach. The room is very wet because no sun can go into the room.

Location, only a ten minute easy walk to town.

Everything there that you need, kitchen, etc

Huge room. Very clean. Good bed, linens, towels. Actually I liked the chickens snd roosters even though noisy. There is refrig and cooking facilities if you want to go to close by market and get staples. Walkable to many sites. Pickup and return to airport nice.

I must have missed the part of description that says there is no one on property at all times. Once I got WhatsApp #, i could call with any questions/needs.

The hotel was very convenient location to the downtown area, ocean and restaurants. There is no front lobby reception but the manager met us and toured the hotel with us. No breakfast, but, they had a great kitchen with a shared refrigerator, stove, water. Someone came every day to clean the facilities. Enjoyed very much their fruit trees. The mangos were delicious. Room very clean. Very relaxing and tranquil feeling to stay at the hotel. We were picked up at the airport and delivered back upon our trips end.

Liked it all, no real complaints

Perfect location. Very friendly staff.

Large room and comfortable bed. Nice swimming pool. Great aircon.

The room was generally clean, and the outdoor swimming pool was nice. The shared outdoor kitchen was convenient to use. While the chickens in the garden crow frequently, earplugs were helpful.

There are no staff on-site, so assistance is unavailable when needed. Communication via WhatsApp or Booking.com was either unresponsive or very slow. During my 3-night stay, I had to reuse a single shower towel. There was no trash bin in the room, so I had to use the one in the bathroom. Additionally, there was dog poop in front of the door, and it was not cleaned up throughout the whole weekend.

Ideal location for staying in Hanga Roa.

Good value for peak season in Hanga Roa. Big room, good wifi, clean. Airport shuttle is very convenient and well run.

Very light on services (no dedicated staff, no one to provide advice or recommendations). There are wild hens on the property that are loud most hours of the day. The hotel let us know about this 1 day before our arrival, but this information was not disclosed on the property description or during booking.

Clean rooms, nice pool and common area

Quiet room, good AC, strong shower, location

Some rooms (including ours) had their big big windows at street facing the parking, so not much privacy. Also, they should clean and change towels more than 3 times a week

We spent the end of every day in the hot tub and pool. What a treat! The rooms and grounds are lovely and honestly we enjoyed the roosters and chickens running around and making noise. It’s a very comfortable place and short walk to Hanga Roa.

Nothing

They provided transfer from/to airport, but it was a huge delay to airport transfer

It was not as nice as on pictures, towels quite used…

Location is within walking distance to town centre and coastal area. The village church is literally across the road. There are a few eating places and grocery shops nearby. Complimentary roundtrip airport transfer is included. Air-conditioning is an added bonus. Swimming pool and jacuzzi are icing on the cake! There is an open air kitchen with seating area for common use. Must also mention the free flow of filtered water for drinking and cooking. Lastly, we were gifted Moai charms as parting gifts by the host. What a nice touch to end the once-in-a-life-time trip to Easter Island.

Only mode of communication with the host or staff, if you don’t bump into them in person, would be through an app. Response through the app could be speedier.

If you are lucky, then you will find yourself at Te Ariki. There is a cool pool to swim. An outdoor kitchen for meals In the center of the city for easy walking

Nothing

Clean pool. Nice room. Good aircon and good location.

The roosters non stop

Room was clean, clean bathroom and good clean bathroom with powerful shower

Was a bit of a walk uphill and away from the main Center. Chickens roaming around wake you early.

Everything :)

Nothing

Room 7 next to pool had very nice air conditioning. Everything was clean and well kept. Coordination for free shuttle to/from airport was easy and they were prompt. The welcome lei was a pleasant surprise. It’s not staffed with a reception desk but they are responsive when communicating via WhatsApp. WiFi was great for our needs. For us, the full kitchen was invaluable to save money with meals. Short walk into town.

The bed was soft for us but that’s a personal choice. The roosters might wake you up at 6:00 AM, but we made sure the bathroom shower window was shut and the bathroom door shut. So, they weren’t too loud. We personally appreciated them because islands can have major bug problems. Not so with this property! The chickens keep this hotel bug free!

Good location and nice small swimming pool.

Very noisy chickens and nobody really around the property for questions - although WhatsApp could be used as long as WiFi was working.

Location Swimming pool Jacuzzi

Nothing

Meals were self-catered, and facilities always clean. Filtered water available to all… food left by guests marked “available” (Many thanks! 😊) The environment was richly tropical, with the welcome sound of roosters herding their brood thru the gardens each morning and occasional church bells… otherwise superbly peaceful and relaxed! The small pool and well-maintained hot tub were a welcome bonus! The young managers kept their eyes on all facilities yet never interfered with the quiet enjoyment by a well-balanced clientele. Te Ariki ticked every box… and Rapa Nui was The Highlight of my 3-month, 3-country journey.

I could find nothing to criticize!

Hotel located very close to the main street of Hanga Roa and the airport. Room was big, bed was old but large and comfy. Wifi was also good. Large bathroom with hot water. Swimming pool and shared kitchen outside in a nice atmosphere.

Cleaning should be improved, our bedsheets and towels were old, stained and torn. We also had cockroaches in the bathroom so had to fill bathtub and sink holes with toilet paper to prevent an invasion. Luckily they never reached the room during our 3-day stay.

Location Swimming pool Jacuzzi Quiet place

Nothing

Spacious room. Swimming pool and hot tub. Good outside area for preparing own food and eating.

cracked toilet bowl and bath. There needs to be netting to keep out insects as I had 3 encounters (among others) with large cockroaches!

This spot was close enough to walk to food and sites. The staff was super friendly with airport pick up and drop off. There is nice community space and a spot to cook if you want. Our room was very comfortable and large.

The space had a lot of chickens that could be noisy but you got used to them.

Confortable y tranquilo

Nada

Large room, large comfortable bed and good pool, very friendly pickup and drop off to the airport. Good cooking and kitchen facilities with a lovely are to sit and eat.

Noise from the plumbing and chickens (we knew about those) but ear plugs helped.

We chose Te Ariki because of its location and facilities and it turned out to be as anticipated. Little contact with staff but pool, hot tub and breakfast area all clean and working. Would be nice if they could provide a breakfast option as walk each morning to bakery. Room spacious but on basic side. Pick up and drop off at airport very smooth and nice touch. Their recommendation of Rapa Nui Dream tour agency was also good

Yes there are cockerells but to be expected on a rural island.

Great place, good location, clean. Very nice owners picked up us from the airport and greeted us with beautiful flowers and gifted us nice necklaces. They were very responsive to our messages too.

There were quite a few insects that were entering via the window in the bathroom. It would be great to have some sort of an insect screen. Also it was quite noisy. Some rodents or other animals in the roof were making quite a noise at night.

The bed was good. Room was clean. Good hot water and shower. Cute porch area. All at ground level. 5 mins to the airport Transport to and from the airport included. Allowed us to stay in the room until we needed to leave for the airport AC unit as good We never lost power.

You have to realize that everything on the island is flown or shipped in. 5 hr flight from the mainland. With that the hot tub didn’t work while we were there. But was on the way to being operational when we left. I️ can imagine parts are not on the island. It was also a 10 min walk down a light grade to the restaurants along the water. 15 min walk to a grocery store. 20 min walk to the Moai that are on the ocean near town. I did 20,000 steps my first day.

The property was great. Clean has all the amenities that is needed not far from city centre. ticked all the boxes. Has fully equipped kitchen with all the utensils, stove fridge, coffee, tea, and water dispenser

Nothing

It was just perfect. Staff was very kind, location is quite convenient, room was nice and the swimming pool and hot tub made our stay just another level.

Nothing! We loved it!

Very close to town centre. The staff are amazing and very accommodating

Nothing really. The roosters were a problem but it was sorted

I loved my stay at Te Arike. The room was very spacious, clean and modern. Not just a simple hostel, but felt really high-end. The kitchen area was great to prepare my own breakfast. There are 3 mini-markets within 2 minutes walking to buy fresh bread each morning, the rest I had stored in the fridge. The shower was hot, the wifi worked great. I didn’t use the pool or jacuzzi, but it was being cleaned often. The location is close to the town center, everything within walking distance. Host speaks English and picked me up and dropped me of at the airport. I don’t understand the negative comments about the chickens, they were there but it didn’t bother me at all. It’s part of the island life.

Great location in relation to the restaurants. The owners are great and very friendly and accommodating. There grounds are beautiful and clean.

Great place to stay. Centrally located within walking distance of the town. Room was very big, comfortable bed, nice strong spacious shower. The host was helpful by providing us with information about different tour options upon arrival. Nice swimming pool.

Nothing.

Staff, location, comfort, transport to and from the Airport, and air conditioning. If you're looking for a place of tranquility, but close to everything, look no further, this hidden gem will not disappoint .

Nice relaxing pool area, good size room.

We weren't picked up from the airport even if we communicated in advance. We understood errors happened, but they were quite sour with us, like it was our fault. We weren't told that there was a leisure area to share with other guests or where it was, so we only discovered it on the last day when we seen other guests going in that direction (as we didn't want to wonder around and disturb other guest). When asked about tips, we were redirected to other places. Basically, we felt like we were disturbing the owners. The room was ok but quite noisy because of the hen and rooserts wandering around. OK, during the day, but it's not so nice at 6 am. Overall, it was ok. It just lacked that welcoming hospitality feeling.

Friendly staff, beautiful property and great facilities including coffe machine and area for people to sit / drink

This hotel includes numerous facilities such as a fridge, 24 hour tea/coffee and cooking facilities, BBQ. It is very close to the center of the island. There are very nice bushy plants around units. The hotel staff have been very helpful. Also transfers from and to the airport are provided.

Te Ariki ( adults only ) lodge on Rapa Nui. great little place to stay if you ever come to this part of the world. walkinging distance to resturants and cafes. nice owners who offer airport transfers. The lodge reminded me a lot of places I've stayed in Sri Lanka, without the Kimondo Dragon's.

Noisy chickens very early morning. But I think that's whole island thing.

The hotel in a good location and walking distance to the seafront, bars and shops. My room was very spacious, clean and with a good shower. The bed was very comfortable. The pool was great for a dip after a day of sightseeing, especially when a couple of days it was hot and humid. The kitchen area was well equipped to allow you to cook yourself something if you didn’t fancy eating out all the time. There was also good WiFi in the room and around the hotel.

Such a good surprise ! Sincerely this hotel has 4 stars level rooms ! The social area is in a middle of a mini jungle very pretty. Convenient kitchen , barbecue. The beautiful swimming pool is large enough to swim and to relax . This is a quiet place and the owners will respect your privacy. I m very picky , and I really love this place. The price (about 100US$) is the good one compare to the price of many terrible hostels of the island.

All perfect for me

Very clean, beautiful pool and close to many restaurants

Nothing negative to say

The staff was super friendly and the location was great

The team came to pick us up at the airport and it was a seamless check in. There is no reception - it is more of a guest house style accommodation. However the team is available via booking.com messenger or whatsapp. We found the room to be well sized and a big bathroom. While we didn't use the pool due to inclement weather it was cute and the whole area felt secluded despite being off the main areas of Hanga Roa. It was easy to walk to anywhere in the town

The room could have been insulated a bit better - there were some bugs (which is understandable given the location but felt a bit more insulation could have helped a little). There is only house keeping on certain days so felt like we had limited options for that and extra towel etc. The rooms are next to each other so limited privacy out front if you're using the table and chair... and some maybe woken by the chickens!

Beautiful pool and outdoor kitchen area. Felt very safe.

Our door was difficult to open with the key. Room was quite dated.

It is a beautiful property located walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The hosts/owners are wonderful and very caring people. They picked me up from the airport and offered to drop me back for my return flight. They have a kitchen area for cooking your own meals, if you want. You will feel very welcome here. I loved my stay at Te Ariki and wish I could have stayed longer.

Everything was perfect

Owners were kind. You had to contact them on booking when there for any issue. There is an outside kitchen to use and water. The beds are very firm. Only two towels. There is a hairdryer and great hot water for the shower. The air conditioner worked well. Door uses a code which is easy.

Closet needs hangers. More towels. Maybe a screen on bathroom window.

Amazing property with great facility. Location of the property is amazing, close to everything and pickup and drop service from the property was the best. They have full fledged kitchen and swimming pool. Round the clock security and property owner were always there to assist and recommend to have best experience in Rapa Nui…

Location

We have 3 nights in this property, no cleaning during our stay, no trash bin in the room or outside, just one little one in the bathroom. About the transfer they offer at 12:30 without asking at what time was our flight. It was at 3 pm and the airport was so small that it was not necessary to be so early there. The owner of the property suggested us 2 agencies for doing National Park. At first, the agency confirmed us the tour for the 1st of January, and when we paid, they changed the date for the 3rd of January. Hopefully they returned the money, because our flight was on 3rd. We found another guide to visit the National park much more cheapest.

Staff was friendly and helpful, pool was great and very clean, location was very convenient. Parking was easy for our rental car. Rooms were very comfortable with AC, and when we had issues they were quickly resolved. Big water jug to fill bottles from was amazing!

Communal kitchen area wasn’t super clean but didn’t affect us much. Door security seemed a bit weak, switching up the passcodes once in a while might be a good idea.

Very big and clean room and bathroom. Close to everything. Included pickup from the airport. Kitchen and fridge available. Jacuzzi was great. Céline was a very nice host.

Getting waken up by the roosters (but they're everywhere in Hanga Roa)...

Location, amenities (pool and hot tub) and friendly staff

Lovely hosts who kindly provided airport transfers and helped me with a surprise birthday celebration for my partner. Clean facilities. Nice pool.

Nothing!

Great location and comfortable bed

Few ammenities.

A quiet and comfortable hotel at a convenient location. Free pickup and drop off from and to the airport.

Have wine glasses in the community kitchen.

It was a perfect place for a romantic getaway on Easter Island. Big and spacious room with big windows that looked in the garden. The room was decorated in a traditional style. It had air conditioning and spacious bathroom. The host was super friendly and helpful. She met us in the airport with flowers garlands and organized excursions for the whole three-day stay there. The entire place was very green and nice!

Nice pool and garden, centrally located, very comfy beds! The rooms are spacious, light, and nicely decorated. The staff is very helpful and kind.

Location was great and in the central part of the island. The room was very spacious and in immaculate condition. The shower was big and rainfall type. Overall great condition and superb value. The hosts Celine and her husband were awesome and super friendly - giving us tips on food and tours. They also picked us up and dropped us at the airport with a smile.

Only drawback is air conditioner remote/batteries may need changing!

This place feels brand new, room was really nice with a great comfy bed and a very nice bathroom. Loved it. It also has a really nice inner courtyard with a beautiful pool and a jacuzzi and an outdoor kitchen. They arranged a free pick up from the airport, which was smooth. Location is great, just a small walk to the restaurants, gift shops and the ocean. There is also a small grocery store next door.
