Oak Cottage 3 km from Rock of Cashel

Property was perfect, exactly what we wanted.

Charlie and Mary were great hosts. The breakfast was plentiful and the facilities were very clean.

The shower was okay but there wasn’t alot of water pressure. This might be because the cottage was located a couple of miles from the main town.

Charlie's cottage was fantastic. Everything you need is provided and so handy to Cashel.

Very clean and comfortable accommodation only 8mins drive to Rock of Cashel, easy to find, hot shower, nice breakfast and all basic utensils provided, friendly owner. Highly recommend!

Excellent location for visiting nearby historic sites. On the main road but property was quiet. The accommodation was warm and comfortable. It was very helpful to be provided with a nice range of breakfast items.

The hosts were so good at communicating, very responsive. Location is perfect, only a very short drive to into Cashel. Lots of food options in the town. Properly itself has everything you need!

El alojamiento es precioso, más grande que en las fotos y con todo lujo de detalles. Cuenta con varias opciones de calefacción y dos estancias (más el baño) donde sentirte como en casa. Además, el anfitrión fue majísimo, nos dejó unas instrucciones detalladas de cómo llegar y nos dejó un surtido muy amplio de desayuno (¡con croissants y arándanos del mismo día!). Fue una grata sorpresa, repetiríamos.

What an amazing stay with Charlie and Mary! Charlie was so welcoming and made sure I was all settled in - a truly perfect host. The cottage was delightful, clean, and well stocked with everything one could need, including the most delicious breakfast items. It was then a short 10 minute trip to the Rock of Cashel on the morning of check out - an ideal place to stay to arrive there for gate opening as there was only a handful there at that time. Wish I could have stayed longer in the little oasis that is Oak Cottage but off to do more exploring of Ireland! Thank you once again for the wonderful stay.

It was just a little chilly in the cottage (but maybe I didn’t have the heaters fully on) and it’s always Irish autumn so one expects these things - so doesn’t dampen my review at all. 10/10 - cannot recommend more highly.

Everything about this quaint little cottage was exceptional. The communication, the location and the facilities. Only sorry we had such a quick one night stop over. Arrived later at night and so not able to fully appreciate the cottage. Charlie met us out front and made sure we were settled, as well as proving tips for us to go into town for a late dinner. The breakfast ready for us to have in the morning was perfect for our early drive to the airport. Would recommend staying here for a couple of nights to be able to really experience all of Cashel and the surrounding areas.

La cama muy cómoda, el mejor colchón en muchos años!! El apartamento está muy bien equipado y es muy tranquilo. El desayuno es estupendo. Charlie fue muy amable en todo momento. La relación calidad precio es muy buena.

Charlie was really friendly and easy to talk to. He went above and beyond to help me. As a woman traveling solo, I felt safe.

The cottage was very roomy and homey with a generous supply of kitchen utensils. The continental breakfast provided was a good start to the day. The hosts had sent very detailed instructions to help find the location and get in to the cottage.

Possibly a television would be a nice addition for some people. However, we did not miss it.

Great place to stay to explore Tipperary great central location. Clean and quiet!

Lovely quiet place, on the main road into Cashel. Plenty of facilities for us, and we were very grateful of this! Very clean and lots of information. No TV but it was a nice evening so we sat in the little garden area dedicated for the little outlet building.

The only thing to mention is that there is no tv. So, take a book!

We loved the setting of one bedroom house, great privacy, spacious living room, very comfortable bed and clean. Host provided great breakfast beyond our expectation. The communication prior to the check in was outstanding.

Bathroom was slightly small, no place to hang clothes but was manageable. The shower was not that strong but it’s ok.

Very clean and cosy cottage with plenty of parking. the bed was firm which was great. we stayed for 1 night only but would go back. Having the continental breakfast was lovely, and you could make all the tea and coffee you wanted, use the fridge and toaster and microwave. Hot shower was lovey and plenty of towels. I like that they recycle and are aware of the environment.

I liked it all! for me, it was a little hard to find in the dark if unfamiliar, but the Eircode is accurate. I would suggest you drive slow on approach so you can turn into the garden gate.

Amazing breakfast supplies = fresh fruit, OJ, Greek yogurt and Nespresso. Fresh milk was very much appreciated. Very warm and spotlessly clean accomodation

We had a warm welcome from Mary and a warm send off from Charlie. It had all appliances we needed and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was included which was lovely.

It cannot be changed but it would not be safe to walk to the location, is however really close by car.

Nicely decorated and lovely hosts who had left very thoughtful items of food for breakfast, coffee machine etc. A nice outdoor area too.

Close to Cashel, in quiet surroundings, a very friendly host, who was very helpful, the place offers total freedom and privacy.

This was the best place I stayed at during my visit to Ireland. Why? Because it had everything one could need. The location was just minutes away from Cashel. The property is very clean and has a separate dining/sitting area along with a single bedroom. It is a single cottage, so it is extremely quiet with a nice parking area and a lovely garden to enjoy. The kitchen was stocked with a very generous selection of delicious breakfast items and our host was very nice. I only wish I could pick this place up and take it with me to other locations because it is a gem.

Spacious apartment in a small house with a separate entrance. Enough food for a hearty breakfast was left in the fridge.

The kitchen is without a stove, so it is impossible to cook. During our stay there was a problem with hot water in the shower. Therefore, we could not use it. No alternative options were provided

A nice little outbuilding with a lounge/kitchen area, seperate en suite shower. An absolute gem of a place to stop in which is located just off the N8 and 3km outside Cashel. Met by the owner on arrival who showed us around the property and how things worked, an excellent continental breakfast had also been provided for us in the morning. I was very please with the property and how much it cost and would love to stop here again when in the area.

One of the best places I’ve stayed it was nice being a solo traveler on the move daily,having food in the apartment and coffee and not having to run out and try to find something. extremely friendly. Everything was clean and spacious.

The shower was bad. We were told about it in an email but the temperature couldn’t be adjusted properly. The bed was a bit uncomfortable.
